Must first confess, by personal preference, I like Pizza Hut pan pizza. In a pinch or not wanting to travel to far from home, Papa John’s it is. I remember when they first instituted their delivery charge; I was disgusted by that business practice. I boycotted them for close to 3 years. Traditionally, pizza delivery had been free; they turned the status quo on its ear. It not only hurt the consumer, but the drivers who in the end would likely receive a smaller tip. I get it, it was like a fuel surcharge. Well, the cost of fuel is down but the surcharge/fee still remains. So we order and pick it up. Stubborn perhaps… Their Pizza: it’s okay — it tastes commercial, if you know what I mean(the opposite of handcrafted) — I like that they do experiments like the Chili Fritos Pie I ate recently. Different, kinda tasty but after a couple of slices the saltiness of the Fritos hits you. A little salt burn on your lips. Had to be tried once though. Left me wanting real Fritos pie.
