So after ordering and consuming:
½ a gyro platter
A couple fried mushrooms
And some
Pita bread
I spent the last 4 hours violently hurling (which I considered posting a picture of my vomit filled toilet, but ultimately opted not to). And now have the most hideous stenches are escaping from my ass!!! My stomach feels better but holy jesus was I excruciatingly nauseous about 40 minutes after I finished eating.
Too bad because initially it actually tasted decent. Not worth the $ 20 or the 25 minute drive but decent. This was my first and only meal of the day so I know it was this. I’m not sure what happened to be honest I know I won’t be back.

Food was ok, service was poor wait staff more intrested in conversation with other staff and phone. Order was not correct. Price for what was served was greater and we were expected to pay for there mistake. Not a chance we’ll go back. Became an argument just to pay for what we tried to order.

We ordered the cheesesteaks, one beef, one chicken. Take out. The bread is worth the trip. Sandwiches were tasty, the cheese excellent. The menu says they come with fries, but one somehow ended up with a baked potato. Actually, the baked potato was pretty good, too. Definitely will go back. Soon.

The Chicken Special Stromboli… I almost cried it was so good. Staff is friendly and a bit cheeky but fun. The service was not fast but def not slow. Of all the dishes I’ve tried, Stromboli is first, Calzone second, Chicken Penne third and the pizza after that. I have only been a couple times and I try and sample things off my mates plates. The only thing I find lacking is the interior décor. It’s a bit drab but I can totally over look that.

The food is ok, but their marinara sauce is a huge letdown. Which is a real shame since it’s featured alongside many of their appetizers and main courses.

Third time here. We had probably the nicest/​friendliest waitress we’ve had all year in Shelby; she joked around with our kids and made them laugh. Good, attentive server. The restaurant is fairly small and located right next door to Sumo. Nothing fancy, mostly function.
The food — the pizza is good — lots of cheese and tasty crust. My eggplant parmesan sub was huge and came with crispy fries; the eggplant itself was a little greasy, but the sauce and cheese balanced it out. The kids spaghetti with meat sauce was «waterlogged» — that pasta thats been twice cooked and verging on mushy. The cheesesteak was just okay. Last visit I had a Gyro and it was great.
So, basically, most the food is 3 stars with some 4 star exceptions, but the service is a solid 4. I hear good things about their wings. Gonna try them next !!

I had the Greek calzone and it was the best calzone I ever had! Good quality cheese mixed with delicious Greek beef, olives, tomatoes, feta, ricotta and mozzarella on piping hot crusty bread! Yum!

The best Italian in Shelby. The pizzas are the best thing I’ve had. The sauce tastes authentic and the thin crust was delicious. I’ve had the calzone, it was ok, but I may be spoiled by the ones at Barley’s (in Spindale). The Greek was better, I had the gyro, and it was flavorful and juicy. They also have great specials. I would definitely recommend!

I’ve had a few Italian dishes at Verona and they’ve all been really good, but what I tend to get hungry for is their gyro platter. Great Greek salad and dressing with great gyro meat. The bread they bring to the table is quite delicious as well, especially with the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and Parmesan cheese they leave at the table for you to use as you please.
Everyone has always been super nice here, too. It’s a little cramped but it seems to be working just fine for them. Pretty fast at lunch, too.

The best chicken wings in Shelby! Their BBQ is a sweet and tangy sauce with lots of… Wait for it… CLOVE! Best BBQ wings I’ve ever had.
Friendly wait staff, wonderfully rich pizzas and pasta. The stuffed crust pizza is the most meaty, cheesy thing you’ve ever put in your mouth.
It’s a Friday night tradition at our house.
