They really need to get a fix for there POS system. It took 45 min for my sandwich to be made. I think they lost my order, maybe they didn’t keep track of when the orders were made. My friend and I ordered right after one another and he got his food and finished before I ever got mine… I’m not that upset but I’m pretty sure other people might not react as lightly. I really hope this problem is addressed.

The atmosphere is great. Hard to find a seat though. The food is slightly better than my high school cafeteria food but the portions are big. I will still keep coming back because it’s open late and the folks working there are nice.

I will never come here ever again! The service was rude and I didn’t like my dish. I asked to get a refund and they said they would cook me another one but I didn’t like it the first time so why would I want it again. The food is totally over priced for what you get. If you are someone who doesn’t want good service or food and want to pay extra for the mediocrity, then definitely come this location.

I am giving 3 stars only that i like the location. I am very disappointed, i know that they are always busy but we ordered crêpe, coffee and tea. Which would not take that long. The crêpe arrived in 2 minutes followed by coffee; however, my green tea took them 30 minutes to bring after reminding them twice. Anyways slow customer service.

Good food, came here for breakfast and had make ur own omelet which was great except it was pretty tasteless. No special dressing. I love catchup so I guess it wasn’t too bad for me. The service was great very nice servers. Thank you. The only thing it took a bit too long for the food to come out which for a casual café i didn’t except that wait time. Overall recommend it.

Raise your hand if you enjoy waiting in line for at least 20 minutes in a small crowded setting and then getting a paper thin«pancake» that is overpriced… If your hand is up then you’re a perfect fit for this place. I was introduced to the place by my daughter(young trendy teen who follows everyone’s opinion) about a year ago. I have only been here twice. The first time should have been enough but I am a fool who believed that the second time would/could be better(glad I didn’t do that with my X-Wife) but I was wrong. I should have realized that this place by its mere location on the world’s most trendy, flashy, overpriced and overrated boulevard was really a culinary mirage(as most other eateries are in the vicinity). The crepes are overpriced and unconvincing in taste. But the real issue beyond the food is the herd like ambience of the place. Now, I am a capitalist like all you out there so I understand the need to make a buck but I am also a consumer and I would appreciate the quality of the meal/food to match the price. There will be no 3rd time back to Crêpe Café for this 2 time fool.

Preface: I am more of a Studio City Crave Café fan, and appreciate the artistic ambience it offers, even if it does cost more. Also, it seems more communal as the owner allows musicians/comedians to perform on certain nights. This attracts more of an artist atmosphere. But, The Sherman Oaks location offers its own perks of its own right. The desserts are absolutely phenomenal, and in general, the food here can be a few dollars cheaper than the studio city location. However, the lights are much dimmer, and it’s hard to do my work, especially at night. In addition, the internet fades in and out, and the owner is in no way expediting the speed bandwidth. I used to view the owner here with a cocked eyebrow, but he means well. He just runs this place more of a business, and it seems there are quite a few more people here than Studio City(I suspect this was why he sold it). Lines at night can be fifteen/twenty minutes long, and before you know it, you’re waiting forty plus minutes for your food. There is always a tradeoff, because they’re open 24 hours. So, you’re gonna wait. Too bad.

24 hour breakfast joint? Yes! I assumed the crepes would be a small portion so I opted for the waffles… the gentleman next to me ordered the crepes and they looked devine! I will definately give those a shot if I am in town again! My waffles: covered in whipped cream, topped with a plethora of fruits, and with just a hint of sweetness in the batter… a delicious and satisfying breakfast!

I’ve come here many times but for some reason I’ve never checked in. Also, I thought I wrote a review, but either it was flagged or I never for around to it. Anyway, here’s my 2-cents worth. Décor — love the industrial casual atmosphere; a couple of couches, plenty of patio seating, concrete floors, exposed brick, etc. Food — I usually get one of the omelettes for breakfast or a chicken Caesar salad for lunch with iced tea. The omelettes are HUGE and very filling. The ingredients taste fresh and there are plenty of options if you are trying to remain gluten-free or have other such requirements. Great vibe, good service, great décor. 4.5 stars rounded up.

Great for breakfast, not so much as a «hang out» café. Female serve-staff is usually irritated and unfriendly, the guys have been kind. Too bad because it’s so huge with so much space.

After hearing about this place from a friend I decided to give it a try. The menu looks good and they seem to offer a variety of things. I ordered the club sandwich and plain pancakes for my little one. The pancakes were good but my sandwich was just ok. The service was amazing, I wish I had gotten the girls names because she was on top of everything. If I do decide to come back it would be because of her wonderful customer service.

Came in with a good evening with friends. Busy hour says allow 30 minutes for food but they first told us that they had no boba after bringing us smoothies and when sent back took an hour and 45 minutes. A manager came out and told us their computers were not able to give refunds when 3 separate employees told us refunds were possible. Been coming here for years but was a huge turn off and they really need to change the manager, wont be a frequent customer anymore.

We came here with friends to have a good time but the service was horrible. It took us an hour to get our food, and when we tried to ask for a refund, the manager lied to us, telling us his system wouldn’t allow it. Meanwhile his employees told us they could. Very unlikely we will return.

I love the fact the the waiters there look like Venice beach locals that probably belonged to some gang but are the fastest and most polite waiters I’ve had in LA. The menus is stacked with all unique items and it’s very affordable. If you’re on a budget then split something. I love the Capri crêpe or the breakfast crêpe. It’s very large. I go there all the time now. It’s hip and trendy but not to stuffy. I do wish they didn’t have so many people camping out and doing homework during peak hours. I love the place other wise.

I go to crave quite often & the food is always amazing. The only downsides are that it’s difficult to find parking & there is always a long line. Just recently I went to crave & I had my food I just ordered & hadn’t finished on the table. I go to my car and when I get back a bunch of dirty plates are piled up on my food.(My friends were still at the table but hadn’t noticed) The waitress apologized & said she didn’t know we weren’t done & that was okay I just wished she asked. Just watch your food. :) I recommend a Strawberry & banana nutella crêpe, fruit tart, & to go next door & try the sushi.

The good thing is, they are open 24/7, but have lately been very bad with customer service. There is only one register and the line is always so long, that you end up waiting for at least 40 min. to order, then once you manage to get a table, you wait on your order for another 40 min. The crapes, salads and paninni are good. Do not spend your money on their pastries/cakes. They’ve been sitting on the shelves for at least a week. They definitely have to re-train the employees that make coffee. Anybody that loves coffee and knows a little about espresso based drinks, will be extremely disappointed.

The lines are dreadful, the parking situation sucks, but the food… oh the food. is so delicious. especially the late night ones. I love going to Crave when the rest of the world is sleeping. Crave offers great variety of dishes that just hit the spot. I personally love the waffles and crepes — They’re to die for. For the amount of orders that they get, I don’t know how do they keep up. I think they need to increase their staff to suffice the demand. I’m definitely going back there again.

Normally my girlfriend and I enjoy going to Crave. Their food isn’t the best ever and it’s pretty loud, but we like their coffee, enjoy reading there, and normally receive good service. However, on January 15th, around 11:00 pm, we witnessed something that made us seriously question the integrity of their management and not want to spend our money there again. We were sitting and talking, nearing the end of our evening together, when a Hispanic man, aged between 50 and 60, came up to us, offering to sell us Colombian roses. I understand that he was soliciting, but I would have been more than happy to buy one for my girlfriend except that I didn’t have enough cash. I was content to simply apologize and say farewell, but just as it seemed our conversation was at an end, a manager(Asian, around our age(early 20’s)) walked up to tell the older man to leave. I’ve worked in fast food. I’ve seen solicitors come into my(previous) place of employment and attempt to sell things. I’ve also seen how my managers have handled it – they were firm, yet they treated the solicitor with a basic level of respect. This manager did no such thing. In short, he quickly got in the man’s face, was very impatient, and if I recall correctly, grabbed or pushed the older man at some point(I clearly recall the solicitor exclaiming«Okay, I’m leaving — don’t touch me!»). Really? Management gets to act like assholes towards solicitors? Is your business so threatened by one man who’s trying to support himself by selling roses that you have to treat him as if he was just totally ruining our evening? Not just our evening, but the evening of everyone in your restaurant? Even if he’s a «repeat offender», that doesn’t justify it – it’s not as if he was doing something horrible or even selling a comparable product! I totally understand that it’s common practice to ask solicitors to leave, and I totally understand why businesses do that. However, I don’t want to spend my money at a place where the management tolerates(perhaps even encourages?) such unwarranted disrespect and mistreatment towards someone committing as petty an offense as trying to sell roses to couples who might be interested. My girlfriend and I are both disgusted by what we witnessed, and we won’t be visiting this establishment again.

One of favorite spots in LA by a long shot. They have amazing paninis, with the turkey or tuna being my favorite. Breakfast 24/7, chocolate banana pancakes with the bananas inside to slightly caramelize is highly recommended. Not the best tea, great coffee and milkshakes. Downsides: Expect a line. I don’t know about the whole addition of sushi was the best choice. I don’t like the change from hand chalk drawn menus recently and the seemingly unclean filtering fixtures on the ceiling. Management needs to get that«ish» cleaned with a power washer. 3.5÷5 stars.

Just happens that last Sunday I had the best beef tacos ever. I don’t think a picture wouldn’t make justice to the most amazing combination of flavors, the tenderness of the meat, so much flavor chunks of meat real MEAT, the freshness of the avocado, the perfect hit on the pico-de-gallo and to finalize the softness of the tortilla. Perfection from The first bite to the end I hope someone let the chefs know that someone really appreciate their food and dedication. I have been thinking about those beef tacos for the past 2 days… I guess I will have to visit your guys soon. ;-) AGAIN… Thank you Crave crew!

Simply amazing! The sushi was stupendously huge. The sauce took away from the fish quality but it was very good still. The crepes were great and this place is always packed. Come early and grab a bite on the crepes side and the sushi side.

I met a friend for breakfast and had the Breakfast Panini Croissant for $ 8, and a Dirty Chai for about $ 4. At 11am on a Sunday the wait in line was about 20 minutes. We managed to find a table inside near an outlet, as we were there on business. During this time, service was excellent– a server checked in on us several times throughout our 2 hour stay, making sure we had a cleared and clean table, and every part of our meal accounted for. The menu here is massive, but given the wait in line, there is plenty of time to scour the menu to make your choice. Metered street parking is available.

Crave Café is awesome, and consequently, they get busy later in the night. I like their panini sandwiches. I’ve tried their turkey panini, with side salad, and iced tea. Their food is good quality, so it is worth the wait. They have an assortment of other foods as well, although I have not tried them yet. The place hosts plenty of seating, and if you get lucky you can sit on a comfy couch. They have outdoor seating as well, but it’s a bit too chilly this winter to sit outside. The place is clean, the patrons orderly, and they’re efficiently run. Updates with photos to come. Stay tuned.

I had very high expectations when coming here. My friends who we went on a double date with really hyped it up as awesome. So when we went in, I expected it to live up to that since they are regulars… But the experience we got was anything but spectacular. The waitstaff is very friendly but attentive? No, not in the slightest. We were so thirsty and kept asking for water. Three people said they would refill it. We waited twenty minutes before my boyfriend finally said«screw this» and walked across the street to the gas station to get us two large bottles of water so we could fill our own glasses. The tragic part? They weren’t even busy… There were about ten customers in there total… I kid you not! We were a party of four and my order was entirely forgotten about. I was served my soup when two members of our party already had their dinner plates cleared… Honestly, the food was just«meh». I expected flavor and the chicken noodle soup tastes like it came directly out of a can. Will I be back? No, I seriously doubt that. Also, the water jug by the way, was STILL empty as we left. Such an utter disappointment.

Pretty smashin’ crapes served here! This place gets really packed dinner-time till closing, slowing down approximately around midnight till closing time. They recently opened a sushi restaurant that is connected next door and today I went to eat at that place but I was still able to order a crape for dessert from this place! I have had the strawberry and banana combo and it’s delicious. Classic. But if you have a sweet tooth and a bit more adventurous, try out their honey and walnut crape. They give you large portions of walnut on top of a crape folded with Nutella and honey. Yum! But if you don’t want to wait, come at odd hours. Highly recommended because it will take you forever to get served(due to high service), and find a seat.

Omg the food here is amazing! The atmosphere isn’t bad either. The service– fast and friendly; what more could you ask for. Fantastic, looooooong healthy menu of foods that taste bad for you– my favorite! Very hip, yet casual hipster kinda café. It’s a very«all are welcome» kind of atmosphere. Open 24⁄7 — Love a place where you can order breakfast anytime of day– in fact, you can order anything on their menu at any time. Lots of seating, indoor and outdoor. Small café style tables as well as comfy oversized coughs tucked into corners. The side room is surprisingly quiet. Free refills on fountain drinks, which servers are quick to offer, if you don’t want to walk your lazy butt over and ask for one. :) Lunch rush is buzzzzzy but there are so many seats, I have never had a problem finding a spot. Great for laptop workers– free, fast *reliable*(hear that Panera?) wifi — just ask your server for the password and you’re good to go. Street parking is tight with a two hour max. That’s my only con here. I have yet to find that secret parking lot I know must be around here somewhere. There are only ant 7 spots directly behind the café– always taken. Definitely one of the best cafes in the Valley– do yourself a favor and try it out!

Crave Café is one of those perfect intersections of great food, friendly people and a great location. The fact that it’s open all night long is something that is greatly needed in the San Fernando Valley. It doesn’t matter what time of day you want to go it’s always bustling with energy and a great clientele. There are so many great things on the menu to choose from including strawberry French toast, crepes with Nutella or chicken tacos. One of the things that makes Crave unique is that the place is so friendly you tend to start up conversations with the person standing next to you in line and I’ve met so many nice people there. And It has the perfect location on Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks right next to all the bars in the area so it’s the perfect place to go sober up before you drive home. Whether it’s 2AM or eight in the morning it’s one of my favorite places to go and hang out and have a bite to eat.

I questioned the cleanliness of this place the moment i walked in. This was my first time visit, and on walking in I saw that left the mops out which is unsightly and not nice to see while you try to eat, the couches and seating were weirdly scattered and it just looks messy. There was this one poor guy that was doing the serving was also cleaning… they are way too understaffed and under managed. I am a business owner so I could immediately tell that noone was properly managing this spot and noone seems to care here. Moving onto the food… Ordering was strange because they said that the menu was different from the Studio City spot we only came to this branch as Studio city was closed, so i ordered their recommendation which was pastrami panini. God was I dissapointed. The meat was so chunky and fat, I tried to enjoy something from the sandwhich but everything was horrible. The onions werent grilled, the meat was overly chewy and the whole thing was bland. Not good. Tried to eat it but lost my raging appetite the moment i bit into it… trying to eat into the damn messy thing got me tired in a few moments. Ugh, what a waste of my money and a drive here. We also ordered a salad, the server didnt even give us cutlery… so we had to go grab it ourselves. Most of which were stained and weren’t washed properly… Talk about customer service. None of them tried to help me either, they just watched me do their job for them while they talked in the corner. The chicken salad was presented nicely and wasnt actually bad in taste, and the girl at the register was actually very sweet and cool. But that wasnt enough to make up for this entire horrible experience. I am a very loyal customer to the Crave Café in Studio city and there is a reason. They know friendly customer service, presentation, cleanliness and quality of food taste which this Sherman Oaks branch lacked. Will never be back. would rather starve or go through a drive
