Staying in a local hotel I ordered from MB mainly because, quite honestly, they were close and offered free delivery and their website looked good. I got the lemon chicken w/steamed rice. I up-ordered to make it a «complete dinner”(their words) and added wonton soup, egg roll and 2 cream cheese wontons. In order to make it $ 15 so they would deliver, I also ordered an order of veg egg rolls. Starting at the ordering. I felt their website was easy to use, I could select a delivery time(I did) and they delivered on time. I also asked for extra hot mustard, again the delivered and not that nasty packet stuff… the good hot stuff. Now, the food. The wonton soup was full of vegetables, a few wontons and tasted nothing more than cabbage/broccoli water. The cream cheese wontons were crispy and okay. The spring rolls were good and crispy as well. The chicken was overcooked and very dry. The lemon sauce had a very strong flavor of rosemary. Overall, fair at best. Additionally, this was delivery… they didn’t supply a set up of fork/spoon/knife. I had to go down to the hotel restaurant and«borrow» some silverware. Go someplace else. A chain chinese place would be infinitely better. Avoid.

Very delicious! Walnut shrimp was the best shrimp dish I’ve ever had. The delivery is always fast and correct. Would definitely recommend this place!

Always fast and friendly service. Im vegetarian so I appreciate they are accommodating and will alter my sauces to exclude the chicken stock. The only reason Im not giving 5 stars is my dishes have not been consistant. I usually get the spicy eggplant which is excellent. I highly recomend this dish. This time I decided to try the tofu. It was very watery and bland. I will be back but think I will stick to dishes listed as spicy.

I have been searching for a good Chinese restaurant in the San Fernando Valley for almost 9 years. A few months ago I finally tried MB Chinese! They have the best Chinese I’ve ever had in Los Angeles. The food is always consistent and very tasty. The prices are reasonable and they give you a lot of food for the money. I always have leftovers which I love. I highly recommend them for take out or dining in.

Hot and Sour Soup was watery and without flavor. Not much more can be said for the Lettuce Cups and the Orange Beef, both of them were unimaginative and missing the mark necessary for a return visit. Service was slow too which was odd for a Chinese restaurant because everything is prepared and cooked in just minutes.

This place has ok food but I had to write a review about the horrible service I experienced. I went in after work around 8:15 pm and it was empty with a waitress and a guy at the counter. They didn’t look like they were in a mood to serve food. I changed my order and asked if I can take it to go. The rude waitress starting talking in mandarin with the dude and I could tell she was bitching about me. Needless to say I didn’t give her any tip, never going back here again

What is happening with the Chinese food in the Valley? I swear every place I’ve tried in the last 2 months has been abysmal. MB Chinese Food is no exception. They used to be on heavy rotation for a take out on the way home from work. But last time I ordered, everything was super salty and I question the freshness. I’m also concerned that they may be using MSG in the food. We just felt sick after eating, and ended up tossing out leftovers, too scared to attempt eating more of the food.

Alright, so here’s the scoop on this place. Do you like Din Tai Fung? Let’s pretend Din Tai Fung is a nice car. This place is my Chrysler to your Bentley. My Jaguar to your Aston Martin. Nobody can afford those cars, just like nobody can drive an hour and wait two more to eat, never mind paying an arm and a leg. This place has Xiao Long Bao and Pork Buns, and they deliver. They aren’t Din Tai level taste, but darn close. For local Chinese take out, they are delish! Chicken in garlic sauce and house special chow fun are excellent; the chicken is flavorful, and the chow fun is ingredient rich. Overall, I’d recommend this place. Definitely going back for a third time!

I live just down the street, but this is my go to place for delivery. Their wings are giant! Sometimes they are broken, but they are still double the size of wings anywhere else. The green onion pancakes are amazing as well. One time they forgot something, but we didn’t care much and didn’t bother to call. Five minutes later there was a knock on the door saying sorry.

My friend and I were craving Chinese food and we stumbled upon this location. I was skeptical because it’s a hole in the wall restaurant in a strip mall. We were pleasantly surprised. My friend can only eat gluten free noodles so we ordered Singapore noodles and beef and broccoli. Both tasted very good and the meat quality was pretty good. I think we will likely come back next time we crave Chinese.

Wow. This used to be so good, many years ago. First visit back in years and totally disappointed! Ok, let’s start with the food i ordered and go backwards. Honey Garlic Crispy Chicken. Totally disgusting. There was no saving grace on this dish. Absolutely gross. Now to start at the beginning. It’s 9pm, the sign on the door says open til 10 i thought. I walk in, ask if they are still open, the guys says yes, so i go to sit down. He starts freaking, and is surprised, and says oh we are closing at 9:30. Ok, so can I order? Yes of course… Ok So i look at the menu and ask, how is the Honey Garlic Crispy Chicken? He says, what am i gonna say… everything is good here! Ookay… Then he continues and is now trying to persuade me to not order this dish… He says it takes a long time to cook, and tries to get me to not order it. Told me he had a chiropractor appointment, so that’s why he must have been trying to get me to not order or something. So i order it anyways(maybe just to spite him). It comes(pretty quickly, i must add) and i ask him for a knife. «Oh, you want it to go?» He isn’t even hiding the fact he wants me out of there quickly. I just got my meal! I dig in, and like i said. Gross. But i’m hungry, and know i’ll never return here again, so proceed to eat and pay and leave. My advice? Stay totally far away from the Honey Garlic Crispy Chicken. It just plain sucks. And MB? Well… I’ll never be back.

I wish Unilocal would allow me to leave a negative star rating but since the lowest we can leave is one star, just use your imagination to say this is negative star! This place is ridiculous. First of all they are way overpriced! Chinese take out is supposed to be affordable. Ok let’s take away the price, cause I’m all for paying for delicious yummy food but this crap was nasty! The egg foo young was dried out and had zero flavor, the fried rice was burned and tasteless as well! The crispy honey chicken was soggy and rubbery! The point I’m trying to make is AVOID this place

Ordered food at 8PM from , which was the only way to order through the Mandarin Best website. It was said to be delivered within 45 – 60 minutes, which already seems on the high end for Chinese food. After calling at 9 to check the order, the employee said they were busy and it would take another 10 – 15 minutes. The delivery guy came at 9:22, confused and borderline-frustrated with finding the building number… which is very large white numbers right in front. The food was ultimately overpriced for the quality. The sesame chicken was dry and hard to really call meat. Will definitely not be ordering from here again.

I WOULDGIVETHISPLACE A NEGATIVE5STARSIF I COULD! HORRIBLE! My wife and I ate here last night. The service was horrible. I ordered cashew chicken and my wife ordered egg foo young. The egg drop soup was terrible. Loaded with starch and tasted like dish water. The egg rolls tasted like fish, most likely they get deep fried with fish. The egg foo young was horrible. My wife took 2 bites and asked the waitress to take it back and take it off the bill. The waitress said she had to call the owner. Five minutes later she comes back and says the owner said he will give you ½ off the egg foo young. I said fine and just wanted to get the hell out of there! I was so mad. This is the first time I wanted to just leave and not pay the bill. On top of that, I’ve been on the toilet with stomach cramps all night. THISWASWORSTGARBAGE I EVERATE! NEVERNEVERNEVERAGAIN!

Ordered some delivery from this spot. I’m not a huge fan of Chinese food — but for the price, the large amount of food, and the taste is worth it. We order a half order of orange chicken(delicious), a half order of BBQ pork(yum!), and an order of schezwan chow mein(soooo much food). for $ 30 we ate lunch and dinner for 3 days! As another reviewer mentioned, it’s fast food so sometimes the quality is questionable, but that should be expected. Safe to say that once we devoured the food we were pretty done with Chinese food. We will be ordering again!

MB is an interesting mixed bag. It’s a Chinese place, but it’s also a wing joint. There’s a wide variety of wings and sauces to choose from. But does this affect the rest of the Chinese menu? It’s a bit of hit and miss. More of a hit. Let’s start with the wings. They’re very fresh. And big. The wings are definitely much better than what you can get at Wing Stop or Buffalo Wild Wings or similar chain joints. Definitely came hot and very juicy chicken. However, I ordered the Golden Garlic and I just wondered where the Garlic actually was. It was a very good fried chicken wing, just not a garlicky one. Maybe the Hot Garlic Sauce would’ve been a better move. Then there was the Orange Happy Family. Should’ve been a combination of Orange Chicken and Shrimp, but I kept wondering where the Shrimp was. I think I had a couple but even I’m not totally sure. It was a large serving though. Plenty for two dinners. Decided to go for the extra buck and the Fried Rice and probably shouldn’t have. It was very dry. Needed a lot of soy sauce to get any flavor in it. And that’s not really what you want to do with Fried Rice. My girlfriend got the Chicken Chow Mein. Again, very large and this was one of the better dishes overall. Surprised no Lo Mein on the menu, though. So great place for fresh wings but the jury is out on the rest of the menu.

It’s fast food. As food quality goes, it’s not the best on the planet, but in comparison to other delivery service options, I’m definitely a fan. On time, no delivery issues, pricing is decent, especially for lunch specials. It tastes good, fills you up, and portion size is great. Eggplant tofu dish: 4⁄5 A bit on the oily side, but packed with flavor and even my coworker who doesn’t like tofu enjoys it! Honey walnut shrimp: 3⁄5 Super thoughtful of them to put the shrimp on top of a bed of broccoli, expecially for a delivery customer, because it keeps the fried crispiness of the shrimp longer! It did not go unnoticed, thank you! Black Bean Chow Fun: 2⁄5 OK. For those who are more experienced with Thai food, the chow fun noodles are the flat kind like in Pad See-Ew. This dish was a bit on the bland and oily side, however, and it just wasn’t doing much for me, though the portion size is pretty good. It’s a large to go box jam packed with noodles! Honey Garlic Crispy Chicken: 3⁄5 Chicken was a bit on the dry side, but the sauce is great and set on the side so that the time the food is delivered to you, the chicken hasn’t gone soggy!(Can you tell this is important to me? lol) They give you two full strips of chicken, so this ended up being two meals for me! Note: an extra dollar or so charge if you want brown rice instead of white rice. Overall, a reliable place for lunch on the go!

Though it’s not the best Chinese food I’ve ever had, it’s pretty good, and you can’t beat their lunch specials($ 6 or $ 7 for a entrée, rice, soup, and an egg roll.) I definitely preferred the crispy tofu or the chow mein to the soft tofu, but your mileage my vary. Friendly service, but parking can be a pain in the tiny lot sometimes.

200THREVIEW! WOOHOO! The boyfriend and I were inspired by the cast members of The Big Bang Theory to order Chinese takeout, so we looked up some places nearby on Unilocal and found MB Chinese Food. There was an option to order takeout/delivery straight from the Unilocal app, so we decided to do it because it was super easy and convenient! There were also a ton of different dishes on their menu which made it very hard for me to decide on what to get. We ordered: fried cream cheese wonton(8) — $ 5.99 full size of sweet and sour chicken(came with plain fried rice for $ 1 extra) — $ 9.99 BBQ pork chow mein — $ 6.99 honey walnut shrimp — $ 13.99 Total WITH tax: $ 40.29 A little pricey, but at least we didn’t have to tip because it was takeout. We ordered at 6:11pm and arranged for pickup at 7pm. The place itself was really easy to find. It’s located right on Ventura across from the Taco Bell. The parking lot is really small, and we were lucky to find a spot(literally only one spot available). For a practically full lot, the plaza wasn’t very crowded at all(probably because it was a Sunday night). The restaurant itself also only had one person sitting inside. Since we had ordered online, all we did was walked in and confirmed our order, and then we got our food and left. It was really quick and I was really happy everything was ready to go by the time we got there! As far as the food goes, practically everything was delicious! My favorites were the BBQ pork chow mein and the honey walnut shrimp. The chow mein was sooo good. I’m not a huge fan of chow mein but theirs was full of veggies and yummy BBQ pork. Probably one of the best dishes of chow mein I’ve ever had. The honey walnut shrimp(my main entrée) was so sweet and delicious, with the perfect amount of crunchy on the outside and delicious shrimp goodness on the inside. The cream cheese wontons were also great and we finished all 8 of them really quickly. The two items I wasn’t SUPER pleased about were my boyfriend’s sweet and sour chicken, which wasn’t quite as crunchy on the outside as I would have liked(it was almost soggy with sauce), and the sauce was kind of too tangy for my taste. Also, the fried rice we got didn’t have any veggies or meat in it. It was literally just fried rice with small pieces of egg in it. We also got a box of plain steamed rice, which we weren’t expecting and weren’t sure why we got it. Might have been included with one of the dishes we ordered. Overall I have very pleased with our experience with MB Chinese Food and will definitely order from here again next time I want Chinese takeout! :)

MB Chinese and Delivery is pretty tasty and good. We ordered delivery from them over the weekend. They had all of the typical chinese food dishes that I like plus more. We ordered: Kung Pao chicken Vegetable chow mein White rice Honey Garlic Crispy Chicken(which came in the form of chicken katsu and a container of sauce for dipping) All of the dishes were great. They use large chunks of tender, juicy chicken for the kung pao dish. The crispiness on the crispy chicken was superb. I usually don’t even like chicken katsu type chicken but this one was really good. The breading was crispy and golden light brown. It even tasted delicious the next 2 days after reheating! And yes, after 2 days! The food lasted us for several days and was an excellent price. It was an excellent price for just one meal for the both of us, so imagine having that price stretched out for days. Delivery was fast and prompt and everyone was very nice and helpful. I definitely want to try out more dishes they have so I will be a repeat customer.
