Delicious pizza and beautiful, fun atmosphere. What makes this place extra special is the staff. Everyone is super friendly and happy to help you. They gave us free chocolates for Valentine’s Day, but I couldn’t even eat mine because they sent us a Nutella calzone on the house. I planned to take one bite and let my daughter finish it, but no way… it was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever tasted! She and I devoured it. We will be back for sure. Jesse is awesome!

Honestly this place is way too cute. 5 stars because the customer service is on point, they have a greeter everyone is super friendly and open to any questions. You have so many choices and a lot of seating indoor and out. This place is a yes to date night or just a place to hang out with friends. They vibes here are incredible. They have Polaroids for their customers to borrow to take pictures for fun I’ve never seen something like that before! They have a fireplace outside which I love! Everyone here is friendly they even pick up your plates afterwards. The double pepperoni is what I got but quick tip f u aren’t a spicy person ATALL you might be better off picking something else. Besides that I love this place, its everything people said it was, whoever the manger is they’re doing something right! P. S.(Came here on a Wednesday around 6 ish no wait time, parking could be a bit tricky but there is a lot of park in in the residential streets. Definitely recommend and definitely coming back!)

Gorgeous, love the design. Great vibe caused by the generous house music, energy, pleasant and smiley service, high ceilings that are open and woodie, and the ultra cool centerpiece wood-burning pizza ovens. With a slight curve(literally, the pizza line is curved), it’s the same concept as 2 trillion others(800 degrees, Blaze, Pieology, PizzaRev, etc): order pizza from line, going down and choosing toppings, pay, and grab a number. Also knows as, the«Cafeteria style ordering process». 1. Burrata with Beets & Balsamic($ 6, 4.5 stars) — nice portion served on a rectangular platter. Worthy beets with amazingly fresh burrata. If your keeping score, the cheese won. 2. Truffle Pizza($ 14, 4.0 stars) — soft and chewy in all the right places along with a crisp near burnt end-crust. Not amazing, but really good crust. Conclusion ========= The best in its class of pizza. I don’t know if it’s just clever marketing, «people are the best thing that can happen to anyone.», and mottos of friendships and food accompanying in framed plexiglass, but I buy it whole-heartedly. I like.

Lively atmosphere and over crowded on a weekend. The tables are awkwardly spread out in no form or order. They were not clean either and they were all black. It made the vibe inside super dark. The customer service was wonderful. My friends had a pizza so I tried a piece and it was cooked to perfection. I believe this was the chef who was acknowledging everyone and he gave us a Nutella dessert on the house, which was a very thoughtful gesture. My only complaint would be the condiments section and the soda section. It is too congested and unorganized. I think waiters should bring out utensils and plates while they bring out the food.

This place has maintained long lines since their grand opening last year and I finally understand why. They have such a welcoming environment and their entire staff is so friendly. It being my first time, the greeter promptly explained how they operate. I was going to build my own pizza but then I decided on getting the«Prisoner’s pizza» when I read that the crust was filled with ricotta. I couldn’t resist. The only additions to it were crushed red pepper flakes and the caramelized garlic. Moving along their bevy of toppings, I proceeded to the cashier and ordered a glass of Malbec to accompany my dinner. Let me take a minute to paint the interior: modern, clean, innovative, earthy — they have many plants and, uh, a giant tree in the middle of the seating! It’s great. A grand tree with some large spherical lighting set into it. The music was very hip: dance remixes but without being awful or over-the-top. Something you can definitely enjoy and bob to. They had a lot of staff members doing millions of things and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Okay, so the pizza and wine arrived. My pizza was pretty damn fantastic! The crust was crunchy but inside it was so pillowy, as was the rest of the pizza, and that ricotta was such a delicious surprise(yes, it was still a surprise even though I knew it was there, haha). It’s a personalized pizza, about six slices and I ate every last bite. The caramelized garlic, chucks of tomato, crisps of basil, all of it just made this pizza better. As someone who has eaten pizza for greater than twenty years, I can genuinely say that Midici has made it on my list.

This place is delicious. The décor is beautiful, very industrial, and it has an olive tree in the middle of the restaurant. How cool? The pizza even just margarita is so good, hard to go wrong. Midici salad is excellent as well. Plenty of seating and toppings to put on your pizza. Bathrooms are clean and beautiful. It gets really busy on the weekends, Monday afternoon is a good time to come. Parking is better if you do street and walk over or you can pay a couple of bucks for a lot.

«It’s f***ing amazing» This was my first time coming here and I have to say, it was soooo much better than I expected. I was very impressed with the friendly service and how fast the food came out. The pizza i got was the Four cheese one and the prisoner’s pizza and they were all perfectly salted. It was also reasonably priced. 10⁄10 would come again

Relied on Unilocal to find a good gluten-free pizza last night and this place delivers(on the gluten-free, not to be confused with actual delivery, which they do not do). With their Ventura Blvd location, we thought there might be an issue when it came to parking, but the sizable garage located directly behind the restaurant offers parking for $ 1/hour the first two hours. The area was bustling, even for a Tuesday night, so this was a pretty awesome option. The restaurant technically has two entrances, but better to go in through the door that faces out to Ventura, as that’s where you are going to be ordering. Thankfully there was a small line so we weren’t confused about this. We perused menus, handed to us by a friendly greeter, and took in the ambiance, which is lovely despite it being a hint too loud. We decided on the Pizza Primavera and The Rough Guy’s Pizza as opposed to building our own, which seemed daunting for a first visit. We informed the guy who was rolling out the dough that I was going to want a gluten-free crust and he immediately went to the back to get it for me while my boyfriend ordered. There was a moment where we worried our orders would get separated, but he surfaced just in time. Since we didn’t want to add anything to the pre-existing menu listing, we were able to proceed directly to the registers with our ticket/order receipt. After deciding to eat in, we took our number and one of our pizzas was finished before we even had time to sit down. The restaurant was crowded with several large parties so we ended up at one of the high tops next to the drink/condiment bar, which was actually a great location. I stocked us up on fresh minced garlic, oregano, crushed red pepper, and extra parmesan and my boyfriend went back to get us some olive oil to dunk our crusts in. They have the fancy computerized fountain beverage dispensers as well as an array of syrups for making your own Italian sodas(we went with 2 pumps cherry, 1 pump vanilla — highly recommended). While my boyfriend had some trouble getting past the marijuana smell emanating from the broccolini on his pizza(who knew that was a thing?), he still managed to enjoy it. The Pizza Primavera was delicious. They do NOT skimp on prosciutto. Also, possibly the best gluten-free crust I have ever had. It actually has the texture of real dough without being chewy and isn’t so thin your toppings are falling through. And it reheats well(had the second half for lunch today). Because we didn’t order desserts(even though the nutella calzone was calling my name) or salads or anything, I’m not sure where in the process that happens, but I guess we’ll find out next time. For two giant personal pizzas and less than a $ 25 price tag, we will be back.

Upscale and trendy version of 800 Degrees, Pieology, PizzaRev, etc. yes! yet, similar pricing? yes! Love the ambience, especially the night vibe. They’ve got a range of different types of seatings for a party any size/occasion. The ingredients/toppings are so fresh and tasty! One thing I did not like was the crust, the outside edge of the crusty was pretty thick yet dry — rest of the pizza was absolutely delicious though.

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience here. My friend and I came here for the first time on a Saturday night. We walked in and the hostess asked us if we wanted a menu and told us we just have to wait in line to order. I asked about the seating arragements and she said it was«seat yourself». My friend decides he will stay in line and I will grab us a table. I walk in to the restaurant and begin to look for a table. I find one and sit myself down to wait for my friend. Within a few minutes the same girl who greeted us at the door walks over to me and asks me, «Where in line are you?» You would imagine my confusion. Considering I was sitting down. I let her know that my friend is line. She then says, «I’m sorry but we need this table for a big party.» I look around me and realize they wanted to combine the empty tables near me. Ok, no problem. I get up and I find another table for two. The same girl now approches me at the second table with a man in a Chef’s hat, Jesse. Jesse tells me I can’t sit down just yet and that they will have a table ready for me once we have paid for our food. At this point I’m really annoyed. I was told me it was seat yourself. I’ve sat myself but now you are telling me I can’t sit. Jesse finally explains after he saw how irritated I was from being moved around how their restaurant structure works. You first come in and order your food and then you pay at the end of the cafeteria like line. Once you have paid for your food and have a number you may sit yourself. This entire confusion could have been avoided if the girl who greeted us when we first came in explained that to us. Now on to the food. My friend is the one who built the pizza so I can’t remember exactly everything he placed on it. I do remember the dough being bland and the pizza tasting dry. While we ate, Jesse kept coming over and over to check on us. He offered my friend a dessert and my friend ordered their Signature Nutella Calzone with berries. Too much dough, not enough nutella, and no berries. We didn’t eat it. Jesse continued to come back a few times and kept offering coffee. Even though we had nicely smiled and said no numerous times. Overall, not a good experience and not recommending this place to anyone.

With all the fast casual personalized pizza places everywhere, this is the real jewel. I don’t even want to compare this place to the others actually. It’s in a league of its own. Let’s start with the ambiance and décor. Wow. It’s so nice and in so many ways. The lighting is dark but not too dark. There is a tree in the middle of the restaurant and a bar in the back. There is open kitchen action and the class is enough for you to take someone out for something quicker or more casual but still want to impress. It’s the type of place that you can have a night out with your wife but bring the kids along also. You get in line and you are greeted by a friendly girl who explains the menu and their system of doing things. The system might seem complicated but if you really take the time to understand, just like there is a trend of deconstructing food as a new way of preparing it, they decided to deconstruct the restaurant kitchen and bring you into it. It’s like going on a tour of a high end restaurant and I think it’s awesome. You get to see the pizza dough being tossed and then you choose your pizza style and they start preparing. The toppings are very unique and most are pre-cooked to enhance the flavors of the pizza. Everything is quality. There is no doubt about that. I prefer to choose my own toppings because I feel that simplicity is very important when it comes to toppings so you can appreciate the dough and sauce properly. Once they are done with your pizza, you go to the salad area and you can choose as well. They condiments in the back include cold pressed olive oil and fresh minced garlic which is amazing. The only thing I did not like about here is that the tables are a bit crammed. Food wise, the salads are a little weak on flavor and the calzone dessert was not impressive at all. I think mine must of been made bad because everyone seems to love it. It just tasted like pizza crust with Nutella spread and I just was hoping for a more surprising flavor. I also don’t like how you can’t order it before hand and them time it properly to bring it. You have to get up again and order it and wait and this last time it didn’t come for 15 minutes and I had to go ask for it. A definite 5 star establishment that just needs more refinement on their system to serving desert and the options for it as well.

The freshest, tastiest, most amazing pizza I have probably ever had. WOW. Let me start off by saying the ambiance is absolutely beautiful. There is a beautiful olive tree with lights in the middle of the restaurant and all the lights are dimmed which gives it a very romantic and beautiful feel inside. I love how this place works– you can either choose a premade option from the menu or build your own pizza. Either way, everything is amazing. After you order your pizza, you walk over and put in any salad or drink orders, and then you walk over and pay. You get a number and they bring the food over to your table FAST. By the time I got my drink and sat down my food was at my table. How amazing it is to not have to wait forever to get your food! They have those cool soda machines which have the 100 flavors of all the sodas you can ever imagine. The raw garlic at the bar is a MUST with your pizza! After you have had your incredible meal, try the nuetella calzone. It’s nothing AMAZING, a little too bready but a good way to end your meal with something sweet. Plus, everyone talks about it so there must be something you’re missing out on!

Winner, winner, chicken dinner… Well actually **pIzza** dinner… It is undeniable that this place serves the best authentic Neapolitan pizza you can ever come across in Los Angeles. Contributing factors: –Fresh ingredients.(Check!) –Fire breathing clay oven.(Check!) –Helpful customer service.(Check!) –Embracing ambience with dim lighting and electronic pop music.(Check!) ***They also have a polaroid camera that you can grab at your leisure to take selfies of you and your company to post in the middle of the room on a laundry-like line of photos to add to their festive mission of the best thing in life which is one another. Trick of the Trade: Order 20 minutes in advance for pick up. Then you can sneak in their side door to pay in their separate pick up line and in a ***FLASH*** you are out the door in seconds. We ordered the Margarita pizza with Buffalo cheese and another Pesto Pizza as a 2nd order to come out approximately $ 17+. Can’t beat the price for authentic and quality pricing.

I love that Medici opened up in Sherman Oaks because I love 800 degrees and I would compare Medici to the 800 style pizza. I don’t have to battle traffic to get good pizza anymore. I actually may like Medici better because they have amazing desserts and salad selections as well. I opted for the truffle pizza. Although you can pick any toppings you want, I tried to stick to the basics and only added arugula because I wanted to be able to taste the truffle. The paste they put on the pizza doesn’t have the strong truffle aroma I’m looking for but the pizza was good overall. I prefer their Prisoner’s Pizza. It’s a pretty basic tomato sauce pizza but they stuff ricotta in the crust. The stuffed crust is heavenly and tasty, yet still light with a lighter cheese like ricotta. Both the dough and their tomato sauce are delicious. I will definitely get the Prisoner’s next time. We also tried their nutella berries calzone. It was amazing except for the fact that berries aren’t really in season right now so I found the berries mixture to be a little too tart. However, the dough and the nutella was really good. I would order it again but only when berries are back in season. The restaurant is really cute. They have a big tree in the middle of the restaurant. They also have a little area where they have cheese, red chili peppers, and oregano along with salt and pepper that you can help yourself to. The service is pretty good but figuring out how and where to order on your first visit can be a little confusing.

3.75 stars. If 800 Degrees Pizza(a Subway-like assembly line pizza place) and Pizzeria Mozza had a love-child, you’d end up with MidiCi. You are greeted at the door by a person that explains the ordering process. They have a good selection of interesting preset menu pizzas or you can pick your own random ingredients as you work your way down the line. At some point down the line you hand your ticket to someone who will add your salad, appetizer and drink order. MidiCi makes genuine Neapolitan pizza. The hallmark of this style of pizza is that it’s baked at 900 °F or higher in 90 seconds or less. This results in a tender, light pizza; NOT crispy. The rim may exhibit some crispness, but this style of pizza is not supposed to be stiff or crispy, though it will get a bit stiffer and tougher as the pizza cools off. The pizza will be «wetter» than you’re normally accustomed to, but this is not a defect, it’s just what this style of pizza is. Everyone should try«real pizza» at least once. Apparently the folks in Sherman Oaks are taking a liking to it. The salads and appetizers are of premium quality and there’s plenty on that part of the menu that you’d want to come back and try. They do not have a full bar or mixed drinks, but they do have plenty of good wine and beer to choose from and they have a computerized soda machine that will create dozens of different carbonated soft drinks. There’s a real olive tree inside the restaurant as well as some vintage Polaroid cameras for you to take some«selfies». I had the«doppio pepperoni» with added fresno chiles and kalamata olives. My wife order«The Prisoner’s Pizza» that had ricotta cheese folded into the rim which is not as good as it sounds; it would have been better as a topping. My pizza was under-baked and not to Neapolitan specifications(see my pictures). The pizza was completely pale with no charring whatsoever. There should be some charring and/or some small«leopard spots» on the pizza, the«evidence» of a short, hot bake at 900F+. I also went a second time a few days later and specifically requested a Neapolitan bake and I still received a completely pale pizza. Since the President of the American Vera Pizza Napoletana(AVPN) is the Executive Chef for this restaurant there is NO excuse for running the ovens below proper temperature. Minus one star for the bake, We didn’t have the«room» to try their dessert calzone, but by all accounts it is fantastic. If you’re a person who judges a restaurant by the cleanliness of the restroom, it’s like visiting a spa: D
