I had to shop for 5 turkey cloches and 5 platters for a holiday food decorating job and after I had rounded all 5 of each up, we ended up not needed them. Upon returning, I was extremely disappointed to find out that my purchase of $ 1249.50 could not be handed back to me for 14 days! Because I had paid for the items in cash, they said they can only issue me a check. The gentleman working at the register seemed very annoyed to have to deal with my return… excuse me! I’m really annoyed that you’ll be holding my $ 1249 hostage for 2 weeks. Why can’t Williams Sonoma afford to issue my money back the same way they received it on the same day of the return. They have their merchandise back so why can’t I have my money back? Seems quite unfair that I should have to wait that long when THEY didn’t have to wait more than 30 seconds to get all the cash in their hands for their big corporation! I think their return policy is lame and the workers at this location are incompetent and rude. The male cashier wouldn’t listen to me when I asked him to return each item on all 5 different receipts all together, so now I will have 8 different small separate checks instead of one lump sum of $ 1249…SOANNOYING! He talked back to me and then got upset when he had to re-process the returns again! The whole return took over 30 minutes to complete. Williams Sonoma has made it complicated for my accounting department now and also inconvenienced me by being out money for so long. They told me it would be better if I paid with credit card next time because it’s easier for everyone. Since when is cash not an acceptable form of payment?! And since when do cashiers tell me how to run my business?!! I used to give this store a lot of business, but that will change after today. …Cut to me waiting 2FREAKINGWEEKS for my check to be mailed to me.
