Good food, good variety, and good prices! If you’ve got a craving for any type of mexican food, this is the place to go.

Good food that won’t kill your pocket. The chips and salsa are good and the quesadillas even better. One of the better Tex-mex places in Sherman.

Delicious and affordable! Decent portion sizes of scrumptious Mexican food. I go here weekly with my boyfriend and we love the free chips salsa and tortillas. The queso is watery but worth the price. Our favorite dish is the sour cream chicken enchiladas with flour tortillas instead of corn! You can’t go wrong with that combo.

I enjoy Mexican food, but I didn’t love La Mesa. The guac and salsa look like they’ve been left out a while, and tastes a little old. Their charbroiled chicken/shrimp dishes are not bad, but I won’t eat anything else there. Their flan was so-so. They have good margaritas though.

I love this place. Best salsa, cheese enchiladas ever! Everything is so good! Top Tex-Mex in the country!

Im from the Dallas area and of course there is a Mexican restaurant on every corner, I am on my way to Oklahoma for a family reunion. I found this place VIA«SIRI» on my phone. The service was great! The chips!!! Oh the chips!!! EPIC!!! and the food was awesome too, Kim was our server and she kept my Dr. Pepper and Chips & Salsa full all the time. Their pico de gallo is hot and so good. If your passing through don’t eat any place else! Oh and the waitstaff is easy on the eyes.

Not good, not bad and priced way to high for the quality. Go to Taco Casa, better flavor for less money. FYI: it does NOT have the best queso ever; just in case you read that review.

Margaritas were great! Rojo salsa good. Ask for the verde salsa, it was great and had a good roasted flavor with some sneak up kick. Servings were plentiful and it was a good atmosphere. This is the first time I have ever posted a review and it was because of our waitress. If you go ask for Tiffany, hands down the best waitress I have had in 10+ years, no exaggeration! I will be going back.

Well this was our first and last time eating here. The service is great but the food is bland, boring and toned down for simple palates. We could have found better Mexican food across the street at Taco Bueno. This place is best avoided unless you like bland!

Staff is always friendly. They have the best salsa and chips. I have never sat and ate there but it seems to be a good expirence.

I had the quesadilla, grilled. Best I’ve ever had. It’s not a fancy place. Just good food and friendly service

This place is a legend in Sherman. I love the queso. The bean burrito with queso, bean soup and quesadillas are great too.

I haven’t eat there for 5 years. I grew up in Sherman and I’ve always eat there. Really good mex food. I really miss that place.

Me and my family love La Mesa and go at least twice a month. Their salsa is the best in Texoma, the queso is delicious and very cheesy. The portions are huge, and very cheap. My mom and I always will split the large combo fajita nachos. It’s basically a pile on pf chips, beans, cheese and a good amount of fajita chicken and beef.

I’m visiting family and my mom suggested La Mesa. The service here is great and the food is basic Tex Mex. I love queso and cannot get it in California. La Mesa’s queso did not disappoint. The beef fajitas were decent, no bell peppers though. My mom liked her chicken fried steak(I did not) and my son devoured the burrito! The best thing about La Mess is the prompt, courteous service!!!

Very fast service. Better than average chain Mexican restaurant but not spectacular. Margarita wasn’t very spectacular. I’m not sure why people reviewed it as average at best but gave it four stars. At any rate, better than average but not five stars.

I love places like this, and MUCH prefer them over chain restaurants. The food here is pretty good. Unfortunately, they have the second worst house margarita(lime, on the rocks, with salt) around. I think they use the same awful mix as Mexico Lindo in Dallas. I don’t care if it’s $ 8 for 25oz, it was bad.

Best Mexican food stop in Grayson County. I’m pretty sure that my parents are there every Saturday for lunch. I love their chicken fajita nachos!

Looking for good Mexican food, this place falls a little short. The place was clean, the service was good, it’s family friendly, smoke free, but the food and bar selection was lacking. I had chicken enchiladas. The rice and beans were bland, the chicken was almost gamy, and salsa was not fresh, and neither were the chips. I gave it three stars for the clean restaurant and excellent service.

My husband and I have been here several times and I think we’ve ended up sharing the combo fajitas every time. The chicken is very good and the beef is good enough(not the choicest cuts of meat). Since this is our go-to Mexican restaurant in town, I’m sure we’ll branch out and try other dishes eventually! But you get a lot of good food for your money, the staff is pretty attentive even during busy times, and it has kind of a fun atmosphere(even if the décor is a little outdated). It’s no Mariano’s(our favorite Tex-Mex restaurant back in Dallas) but for Sherman it’ll do! And it’s always nice to support a locally owned(non-chain) type of place.
