Roux’s Market

There’s a «new girl» in town. and boy can she get the job done! Great sandwiches, stuffed full. fast friendly service, if you haven’t visited Roux’s lately, check it out. you won’t be disappointed!

Roux’s in general is not managed well, and customer service is generally bad/​unhelpful. Today the ATM froze up on me in the middle of a transaction (PLEASE WAIT… PROCESSING…), and the bearded 30-​ish guy behind the counter told me there was nothing he could do since it wasn’t their machine. He couldn’t have cared less that I was having a problem. He simply told me I would have to wait, as though I have nothing else going on in my life. I told him I couldn’t wait, and he said, «That’s not my problem.» The machine still wouldn’t process my transaction, so I slid the freezer next to it out of the way and unplugged the ATM, but only after trying to call the bank number (Citizen’s Bank) and getting a recorded message that told me to take up disputes with my own bank.
After unplugging the machine, I left. Called my credit union and was told the sequence was completed, both withdrawal and refund.
I go to Roux’s only if I have to (alcohol, milk). Not sure we’ll keep going there anymore now, but I may go back once more just to teach some customer service, although I doubt it will do any good.

I have never in my life bothered to write a review but what happened tonight was beyond pathetic.
My family placed an order that included two turkey club subs upon receiving said subs we opened them to find cheese, turkey, mayo and bacon. My husband called them back to let them know of what was assumed to be a mistake and rather than so much as apologizing the woman began arguing with my husband over the fact that club sandwiches don’t ever include lettuce or tomato. After bickering for a few minutes she reluctantly agreed to make new subs as long as my husband would bring back the wrong ones (uhhh ok lady). Once he brought them back he tried to point out to her that by DEFINITION a club sandwich includes lettuce and tomato to which she INSISTED that she’s been making subs for 25 years and that clubs never include lettuce or tomato and only include bacon mayo and cheese.
The only reason they get a second star is because there is another woman who works the grill area who is in fact very good, unfortunately she works rarely in comparison to this broad.

Shorted me exactly $ 5 one day. I quickly returned and the young man at the counter argued with me about it as customers waited behind me. Asked me to come back tomorrow. «I can’t give you $ 5.» He was pretty serious about not helping me, until the lady in the food area noticed a commotion and came over. Neither of them were at all apologetic, and the woman finally, reluctantly handed me the $ 5 bill as if it weren’t actually owed to me. It was all pretty ridiculous. This place shouldn’t be able to use the Roux’s name.
I was regular, but haven’t been there since.
Another time, I raced home from work to find the doors locked at 10:55 pm, when they close at 11. «What do you want?» the man asked.
Should it matter? «Beer,» I say through the glass door.
«We’re closed.»
