Recently, I found myself in the market for a Big Green Egg. Aqua Quip was the closest retailer and I ended up visiting three times. The first time, I wanted to learn more about the Egg and why I should spend so much money on one. I wanted to hear more about how the Egg cooked and what made it different from a traditional BBQ. The second time, I purchased the Egg. Since it was a present, I had to figure out exactly how I would transport this thing and make a decision about whether I would assemble it myself or have them do it for me. I decided to have them assemble it and made arrangements for pick up later. The entire process was very smooth On my third visit, I came back to ask questions and browse some additional products. I received help from three different staff members and each of them was excellent! It seems like most of the products there are quite spendy(BBQs and hot tubs) but I think the staff does a good job of giving you space while being available to answer questions. If I were in the market for a BBQ or hot tub, I’d definitely go back. It’s money well-spent!

As a new pool owner, things can be very confusing, and she has done an incredible job going through things in a way that we can understand and educating us on how to care for a pool. She has really gone the extra mile to get us up and running, and I will come back time and again as a result.

My hot tub cover wore out, which I now find out is a common problem. I thought it was going to be a huge hassle replacing it. So I put it off. When I finally was able to replace it, it was so much easier than I expected with the help of Aqua Quip. And less expensive too. However, during the time the tub was not being used, the parts wore out. Don’t let your tub sit unused. So I went back to Aqua Quip. I have to say that I was really frustrated with them. It took many visits and lots of replacing parts that didn’t fix the problem nor get the tub working. I complained and they stepped up the service and got it done. I was glad I stuck with them. the tub is doing great. I am back to loving it. One suggestion for Aqua Quip management, please send out the same repairman if the first fix doesn’t work. I had three didn’t service guys and had to recount my story every time. They didn’t seem to know what the others had done. I needed consistency. I think you would have been able to get it working sooner if the same repairman had been out each time. Thank you for your service.

We are new to the hot tub market and my wife and I stopped into Aqua Quip on Aurora to ask a few questions and«test drive» a tub. We were approached by an employee and at first I was very leery of the sales pitch that was surely coming. It never did. Ever. Ended up that the employee was Mike, the store manager, and he has been nothing short of amazing answering our questions both on the phone and thru email. We never ended up buying a new tub, but a used one from a Craigslisting. Mike got the hint that we couldn’t afford new, but never wavered when answering our questions about styles, preferences, models, motors, pumps, etc. Every time I’ve been into AquaQuip he’s been there. Sometimes the store is empty, sometimes the store is not, but each time I’ve been in he has treated me as he always has. It would be easy for him to realize I didn’t buy a tub from him, but to him it doesn’t matter. And he told me that. He is there to help, very knowledgeable, and if he ever takes a day off I might find out if the rest of his staff is as buttoned up as he and his store are. Thanks Aqua Quip Aurora.

We spent $ 1,900 to get our hot tub fixed. There were several delays due to service people showing up without the right parts. Even though they knew the tub needed a new filter, they did not install one. We have called several times to ask what kind of filter we need and no one can answer the question. Nor have they been very helpful in terms of questions about upkeep. While the tub is now fixed, I found their customer service less than satisfactory. We know nothing about hot tubs – one of the reasons we hired them – and it seems that for a $ 1,900 repair bill they could have replaced the filter.

Aqua Quip has passed the test of time. We bought a hot tub from them five years ago and have loved it ever since. Truth be told, I started going to a place a block away from me at work called, «Master Pools». I felt their prices for the chemicals were better. Plus, after you bought so many, you got one free. Then, I got a notice in the mail that Master Pools was closing down. The owner wanted to retire and Aqua Quip was nice enough to hire a bunch of their employees and would be glad to help Master Pool customers from here on. So, it’s back to Aqua Quip. But when inspired me to write this review is that after 5 years, my hot tub started to leak. I called and was told it would be a $ 69 service charge for the visit… plus, whatever parts cost. I said, that was fine. It had been five years so I expected something to give out. They came out, found the problem and fixed it. Then, let me know it was all covered by the warranty. All good. No money out of pocket, my hot tub is like new again and I’m feeling really good that I went with Aqua Quip when we made our purchase.

Great with sales, horrible with service! We ordered a new hot tub cover from aqua quip on 1-08-2011. They told us someone would come to our house to take measurements of the current cover and would call to make an appointment. I never received a phone call. I called back and they said they would look into and get back to me. I had to call them again, because no one returned my call. At this point, the rep told me they were going to make the hot tub cover from measurements they had in the system for a previous order. I told them we had never placed a previous order so I was wary of them using these measurements. They did not listen to this and about 10 days later, a hot tub cover was delivered to our house that was too large for our hot tub and did not fit properly. When they put this new cover on, they damaged our outside porch light and my husband has to replace it. I called them that night to tell them that an incorrect size was delivered. They told me they would call me back. They did not call me back. I called again and they had discovered that the men who delivered the wrong size, took measurements while they were there so the correct size would be made and the hot tub cover was in production. They said they would call me when it was finished. When I asked them for an approximate time frame, they said around February 10th. I called on the 10th and they did not have it finished. They said it would be delivered on the 17th. It was still not delivered so I called again. They said it would be delivered on the 21st. They still did not deliver it on the 21st. Then I called and requested compensation for not receiving the correct product in the first place and for waiting longer than promised. I also told the manager(Mike) I was frustrated that I had to continually call to follow up and that no one was returning my calls. He told me to «sue the pants of the company.» When I told him this was not an acceptable answer and I wanted some money back, he asked how much. I told him $ 150(difference in price for same cover from a competitor) plus $ 50 to replace the lamp. He said he would approve this with his manager and call me back. Of course, he did not call me back and now when I call, he says he still hasn’t heard from his manager and will get back to me. I have not heard from him since Feb. 26th. Ultimately, to receive the hot tub cover, Mike had me call the company they out sourced the work to, call them, and arrange for delivery directly without the service of Aqua Quip. My business is going elseware from now on.

Headed here to find pellets for the Treager Grill. I thought this might be a hard item to track down, but not only did they have them, they had a selection of… flavors(?) as well. Sales people were really friendly and offered to carry those big bags to my car for me. Parking and getting off and back on 99 were totally easy. Maybe I should get a hot tub!
