I did not have any of my things restored here. YET. I can tell that this business deals in some very precise work, and it seems to be very custom. I would consider bringing an item here for framing or sending a client to you for sure! I stopped by yesterday and both of your staff was delightful and helpful. Very appreciative of that. I am commenting here for the owner though. I went very well out of my way because I had searched for a ColorPlak dealer(lamination) and your store popped up on their corporate website. Pls see: You are listed as a dealer, with the wrong address attached, and you do not deal in ColorPlak(or so I’m told). Thusly, to avoid this waste of peoples’ time, I request that you update this info so that people do not go to wrong locations and think you offer a service when there is none available. Thankfully a longhaired gentleman put me in the direction of such a dealer but they’re in Bellevue. Alas, another trip for a $ 10 lamination I need. It’s almost laughable, this goose chase. I’m not unfair, I just want you to know that this is posted about you online. Please respond here or send a message and I’ll remove this post. Many thanks.

On 10÷2÷15, I took a painting into this store to inquire about replacing a small piece of the frame. The woman who helped me was arrogant and rude. The repair was more than I was expecting and I was uncertain about whether I should pay $ 75-$ 125 to repair a 2.5 inch section. While thinking about what to do I said, «It’s a pretty frame, isn’t it?» looking for a little support that I should repair it. She said to me, «I’ve seen prettier.» I couldn’t believe my ears! I then said, «Well, I guess that is only half an insult,» to which she said, «Well, you asked my opinion.» Yes, that’s true, but I am the customer and I would think that she would not have insulted me, especially in a sarcastic fashion. I told her that I had not picked out the original frame, but that I really liked it and she said, «Well, someone sometime thought it was pretty.» Honestly, when someone brings a piece of art into your shop, DONOTINSULTIT. I have never written a Unilocal review before AND I made sure that I waited a few days to write this to be certain that I was not over-reacting. I was not. This gal was a horrible representative of this business. I took my painting with me, now knowing approximately how much it will cost to repair the frame. This is a big metro area — I am sure that I can find somewhere else to take it, where I am not insulted. This woman is the EXACT reason that this business lost my business.(Management: her first name started with a V. and she was working around 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2015.)

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Phoenix Art Restoration — both from the experience I received as a customer, to the quality of the finished product. I purchased an antique wooden frame during my travels in East Africa, and wanted to turn it into a mirror. This frame was in a fragile state, and several places i took it to wouldn’t even handle it. Our experience with the staff was beyond considerate. They spent a lot of time looking into the right kind of mirror, and the right kind of support/backing that would be needed — and explained the entire process to me and my brother along the way. In the end, we expected to walk away with a hefty bill, and were pleasantly surprised to find the cost of this comparable to any other Michael’s or framing shop in the area. We were so touched by how much they cared for this piece, and they’ve made a life-time customer out of us. No reason to go anywhere else, particularly if you have a delicate or special item to frame. We were customers at the Issaquah location.

Just picked up two pieces I had framed. One original and one print, both with sentimental as well as artistic value. The attention to detail and high levels of customer service they provided are rare to find these days. When selecting the frames and matts, I had a very hard time deciding. They were patient and made suggestions I never would have though about. BEAUTIFUL! They even made suggestions as to how to hang a rather large piece and sent me home with special glass cleaner and cleaning instructions. Could not be more happy and will definitely be back!
