The food was ok at best. I had crawfish, gator, and shrimp and the battered shrimp was just pure mush.
The fried pickles or mostly better and shaved crazy thin. I love fried pickles and they’re hard to complain about but these may have been the worst I’ve ever had because there really wasn’t any pickle in it.
Gosh I hate offer bad reviews and I hate to complain. I just think you could do so much better somewhere else.
Service was awesome. The food was pretty much awful.

I live in Tyler, TX and I eat here at Shane’s almost every time I come to visit Shreveport/​Bossier City. I’ve had the seafood gumbo. I love it! Spicy is good. The fried alligator is great. They serve it with a ranch sauce. Customer service is good too! Definitely recommend Shane’s!

I had lunch there yesterday for lunch with my family some from out of town. They wanted some good La. style cooking I suggested Shane’s. BAD IDEA. Our server Lindsey was the worse server I’ve encountered. She was very confrontational with our table. The worse part of that was they added gratuity to our check. We were forced to pay a tip for a very bad server. I am a restaurant general manager if I had a server treat my guests like that they would be terminated on the spot. Manager was not very helpful wrote a letter to home office with no response. I will never dine at Shane’s again. If you go I hope Lindsey is not your server.

This place is very unassuming. Looked closed from the outside but luckily it was open. We had the crab cakes and fried fish are were very happy with our order.
Downsides– some of the items on the menu that we tried ordering were only available at other locations and the place is fairly dark inside.
Otherwise a good choice for lunch!

First time having fried oysters. Oh my! Must have Shane’s sauce too! Not sure what was in that goodness! I’ll be running extra long tomorrow! Thank you!

I was hoping for some great creole food and thanks to my coworkers, I found it! They took me to the one on the Shreveport Barksdale Hwy for lunch on Friday where I had the perfect Crawfish Etouffe that I’ve been craving. I loved it so much, I went back to pick up dinner consisting of crab cakes smothered in crawfish etouffe. I got singles of baked beans, potato salad and coleslaw to go with it. Once I find a great restaurant, I tend to stick to it for the duration of my trip so I went to Shane’s at the Mansfield Road and got the pound of crab legs. I’m not sure which I love the most but I have to say that I enjoyed every entrée and side dishes that I got at Shane’s. I wish there was a Shane’s in San Diego. The seasoning is balanced with a bit of heat on the etouffe. I don’t like salty or greasy food so I’m always a bit leery when I’m outside of California but rest assured, everything I’ve eaten here have been delicious and healthy. The crab legs were succulent and comes with corn and new potatoes and very filling and yes, it was so worth it. Bön appetite!

Today was my first visit to shanes seafood barbeque. I was not disappointed. When we got there the place was very crowded and busy and they appeared to be short staffed. Our waitress Cali was very kind, friendly and responsive. We started with the southern sampler which was fried pickles, jalapenos, and green tomatoes. DELICIOUS. The crab cakes over rice and smothered with etouffe was awesome. Fried oysters were huge and fresh. I’ll be back.

This is why I don’t judge a book by its cover. I thought for sure I may end up with a slight stomach ache by the sights of the building, but once I went in I quickly changed my opinion. It was modern, the menu is huge and plenty of seating. My friend ordered for us both, we each had the lunch portion of crab-​cake on rice with craw-​fish etttoufe’. It was creamy, spicy and really fresh. I can’t wait to come back, it was delicious! Everything on the menu looked great, well priced and the to-​go order came right out

Huge selection on the menu and the Catfish and Shrimp Combination Platter was fast, hot, and delicious. Next visit will be to try out the Barbecue Ribs or the Oysters or … many choices to choose from…
