This office has been a nightmare. When we first decided to receive care here, we called the office to confirm if they took our insurance. We were assured YES. My husband went in for three, count them, 3 appointments, over two plus months time. When it was my turn to go, I arrived on time, began filling out my paperwork for about one minute when the door flew open and the tech called me back. She was obviously flustered and said she didn’t know if I would come. Apparently I was to be there 15 minutes early, which no one informed me of. She took me directly to a standing X-ray machine and stated to put stuff in my mouth before I had even put my bag down. I asked if I could set my stuff down and expressed my dismay and she grabbed it out of my hand and pushed it into a strangers hands and told them to take it to my soon to be room. She was in such a rush with me I hadn’t even been able to close my bag so when she grabbed it from me my contents went all over be floor. We were off to a great start. I am then taken to my chair in the room and she starts taking more X-rays when someone else comes in and needs to talk to me about payment. She informs me they don’t take our insurance. I was like huh? My husband has been in 3x and still had another appointment scheduled. Why was this just coming up? The way the tech even told me came off so snarky. So they offer me some cash price for services which came off like some kind of mercy price. Now I’m not insured and am second class. My tech comes back in and the tone was set. She said, «ok we are switching gears now…». I was like, what does that mean? What am I now not getting that I was supposed to when I had insurance? Nothing she said. I told her I didn’t understand and from there our disconnect continued. She was rude and it got old quick. I found out in the end why she was in such a hurry; when we were done she left for lunch immediately. The front desk had a question for her and couldn’t find her because she left so quickly. It doesn’t end here. I hope you never need to request your records if you move. The staff is so disconnected and antiquated in their way of thinking. When I was in the office I told them I was moving and wanted to know if I could get my records. They told me my new dentist wouldn’t want them and would want to take new X-rays etc. Well guess what?! They want them. So you can either mail or fax or scan your record request. You cannot email a digital image of the record in pdf form, it has to be scanned. And when you address the envelope, don’t ask for anyone’s names because they decided they won’t share their last names with their patients. So just mail it to: whoever checks the mail. It is interesting though that their last name policy doesn’t apply to their email addresses since someone with a first and last name emailed me the form. GROWUP. Don’t make up rules. You have all of your patients private information yet you can’t even give out your own name so a patient can address an envelope professionally? When someone asks for a manager give them the phone. You know what would make this easier, is if you just put the form on your fancy website like other doctors offices do. It was amazingly easy for me to get all of my other medical records because that’s how they do it. Take note.

There are a lot of doctors at this location and I’ve only worked with one of them so this review focuses primarily on Dr. Connor. I’ve been extremely pleased with all of my experiences here to date. I’ve had fillings, root canals and also a round of Zoom Whitening. Getting appointments is easy and they offer a lot of services to make your visit comfortable. In the past, I’ve avoided dentists when possible because just the thought of their drills gives me anxiety. Dr. Connor offers everything from Nitrous to IV sedation to help eliminate any possible anxiety. I had a few crowns and cavities to handle all at once so I opted for IV Sedation. It’s a little pricey but to wake up after 3 hours and be completely done?!? Totally worth it! All the staff here has been friendly, attentive and professional. From someone who dislikes going to the dentist in general, I’d give this group 6 stars if I could.(Bert Kouns Location in Shreveport)
