Everything they have in reaching distance is always broken or damaged. If you ask for assistance, it will take forever before someone shows up to help you. This place is a joke, and it deserves a 0!

Sitting the parking lot of the no account Home Depot on Bert Kouns in Shreveport, LA 02-​12-​2016 where I’ve had the worst customer service experience. I needed to exchange a faucet that I bought at another store. Two HD employees watched while I looked through a discombobulated mess of faucets. No one check to see if I needed any help. Disgustingly, I moved to the hardware department where the other rude, lazy, employees standing around doing absolutely nothing!

A few good helpful workers mixed in with a lot of lazy, rude employees. Many of the employees turn the other way when they notice a customer approaching in need of assistance or they claim they are going to get somebody from that department to assist and disappear never to return.

I tried to purchase a Rheem hot water heater at this Home Depot on 3÷9÷15. I was told that the «same day installation» couldn’t be done because they had no plumbers. And, they didn’t know when they’d have any. Lowe’s doesn’t sell Rheems, and I had driven from Dallas to specifically buy a Rheem for a family member in Shreveport. Because of commitments in Dallas, I couldn’t stay in Shreveport to arrange installation with an independent plumber. I wrote Home Depot about what had happened and received a call from their corporate office. The Home Depot spokesperson told me that the reason this store had no «same day installation» was because of difficulty getting plumbers that met Home Depot’s criteria. I find that explanation very hard to believe. With numerous licensed plumbers in the Shreveport area, surely there are at least a few with whom Home Depot can be satisfied. He also said Home Depot’s policy of same day installation was not iron clad. On their website, in small print, there’s a message telling a shopper to check with a store and not assume that their «same day installation» is valid at the store chosen. It’s NOT valid at this store. And, although «same day installation» will continue to be prominently displayed in their ads, be aware that this isn’t necessarily the case. A customer needs to read the small print in Home Depot’s ads.

Home improvement galore. A little bit of everything here. Comparable to Lowe’s so it’s gonna be a personal preference between the two. Come and have a look around you’ll find something you didn’t know you needed.
