Paul Smith Library of Southern York County

In my experience, York County libraries try really hard to be a part of their communities, and I love them for it.
This particular library caters especially well to children, so if you’ve got kids you should definitely check out all their programs.
I couldn’t give the place really high marks because of it’s very, very limited book selection. Luckily, it’s easy to request books from any York County library and have them delivered to your local branch, but there isn’t much housed at this branch that interests me personally.
Well, I feel I should clarify that statement because if you love Harry Potter, Dan Brown, romance novels, or other incredibly popular fiction, you’ll find what you need easily. If you’re like me, and want to read classic fiction or to educate yourself with intellectually stimulating non-fiction…you’ll have a tougher time.
But, the library is clean, the staff is pretty friendly, they seem to have a perpetual book sale which is fun, and the hours are good, staying open until 8pm several nights a week. So, overall a good place, and it’s a really great place for kids.
