Berg’s Heating & Air Conditioning Co

We had our roof redone by Ulysis at Westover. Great work! And while he was on the roof he said was worried that our swamp cooler might not have been properly installed by whoever installed it before we bought the 1963 house he suggested we call Bergs and we are SO happy we did.
They said the swamp cooler is fine and we don’t need any more. We are SO impressed with the integrity of this company. Well definitely call them when we need work again because we know we can trust them to the tell us the truth. Super happy we’re not spending lots of money.
Also, they were super quick. I live in Texas, so I called and told them we needed an estimate, but they’d have to coordinate access with my parents. They called my parents within the hour on a Friday. Scheduled the visit for Tuesday, first business day after a Monday holiday. Arrived exactly as scheduled. Prompt and timely. Couldn’t ask for more.

We are one of the owners of a store in Sierra Vista, AZ. We used Berg’s in 2013 and the work requested was completed to our standards.
²⁄₂₀₁₅ we requested a review of our units on our building and it was completed. We then asked if they would like to coordinate and install 4 new units for our building.
They agreed, 4÷3÷15 we began the process of trying to have a form completed by Berg’s. They drug their feet, then promised the completed form one week later. The next week, we rec’d an email complaining about the length of the form. I called and spoke to a GM and was told, that since they were not providing the units, they could not fill out the entire form. They felt liable. They changed their mind and mentioned that the estimator made a mistake on the bid. Due to their unwillingness to complete the form, they are not honoring the contract. We are now looking for another company.
Time has been wasted.

The first time we had to use these guys they were not reliable or quick. I explained to the woman on the phone that I had two kids who were really suffering from the heat in the house and that this was the third time I had to call about their service, she laughed at me. From then on it didn’t matter how good the service was, she had no right to be that way.

I write this in September. This first month of autumn. In most places leaves are turning beautiful colors and the air is turning crisper, colder, Halloweenie.
But not here.
In Arizona it’s still in the upper 80’s, so when your AC suddenly dies on you and the interior of your house cooks at a steady 87 degrees on a daily basis, AND you’re 7 months pregnant, you will wish you were DEAD!
You will also be told by friends and neighbors, whom have dealt with air conditioning issues in the past, to get ready to pull out your wallet «and bend over… and hope for lube». Implying (somewhat grotesquely) that AC repairs cost more than just hundreds of dollars, it’s usually thousands.
Berg’s to the rescue! We didn’t have an easy fix either. It was the compressor that needed replacing and apparently that’s the main part. Lucky for us Berg’s found out it was under warranty, ordered the part, and squeezed me in ahead of a few service calls when I called their receptionist in desperation saying «I am pregnant right now and ridiculously huge… I NEEEED my Air Conditioner… please help me?»
They charge about $ 100 an hour for labor. They were professional, efficient and my house is a freaking ice box right now. Can I get a «Hallelujah»!
