If I could give negative stars I would! My husband and I sat down and ordered. There were lip stick stains on a fresh glass, which was replaced, however we were charged full price for it. But that was not the problem until… We finished both waters and wine. We sat at the bar being ignored, watching her talk and laugh with a friend for 20 minutes from when we started keeping time. It was terrible service, you would expect better from the owner!

OUTSTANDING place to go and hang out and get a great local beer or glass of wine. Comfy atmosphere that is sometimes lively, but never rowdy. Eric and Christine are great owners of the place and most patrons are very friendly. Dip in sometime and have a drink.

Me & mine are always on the prowl for a casual, easy happy hour joint to hang out in. We popped in to Hoppin’ Grapes around 4:30pm, ready to get our Friday on & have a fun, party kind of time. Ummm, no. The place was totally empty, except for a woman on a tablet/laptop at the far end of the counter bar. My man joked that it was standing room only, no seats available, haha, to which the woman shot us a look of utter disdain. It turned out that she works there, despite her sourpuss & inappropriate work attire — a cami & yoga pants. Not that she greeted or spoke to us at all… I attempted to shift the vibe by announcing that we’d never been there and were excited to see what they were all about. She silently handed us a couple of menus and walked away. Hmm, interesting welcome style… Her lack of customer service was pretty astounding, but hey, I’m cool. I tried to be understanding, maybe she wasn’t feeling well, or was struggling with a recent tragedy. When she returned, I asked if they had a happy hour or any specials and she grimmly stated that there were no happy hours there, ever. She further added, that there were no happy days, or weeks, either. Okaaay, I assume she was deliberately deadpanning for a b*tch effect, but it fell super flat. That might work when you know each other, but you need to have at least met before. She came off hostile and rude. I was still willing to give them a shot, but my guy had already hit a wall. A guy had come in & she took his order before asking us if we were ready. At that point, we put our menus down & walked out. The woman behind the bar didn’t say anything, deliberately ignoring the fact that she failed so miserably at something that should’ve been so easy.

My book club meets every month here. Always great service, really comfortable relaxing atmosphere, and great wine. Who could ask for anything more? Well they give you more! Is a bookshelf with books you can trade in old ones you have and take ones you don’t have. Is board games and I think cards too. They let you try any wine you would like before getting a glass. They also have a wine and beer area to browse for drinking at home. If you can try the cheese desert try the Raspberry vanilla goat cheese is to die for! I know goat cheese ewww but noooo is really good! Is super nice lady and gentleman who own it and they could not be nicer or more helpful.

This is such a fun place to visit when you want some good beer or wine. Their setup is very nice, with seats at the bar, couches, a table for a group, and small tables. They have an area to browse if you want to take beer or wine home on your way out, lots of games, and paintings on the walls you can purchase. I love the different local wines and beers available on tap. There are always fun events throughout the year and live music. This is the perfect place for a data night or to meet up with friends.

15 yrs since I’ve been here in Ft. Huachuca. Though most businesses have migrated across town to the mall, it’s nice to see there are still places like this on Fry Blvd. Friendly and intimate, with a great selection of beer and wine. Don’t miss this veteran-owned gem.

We headed down to the main drag for some wine tasting and beer sampling. The sampling room at Hoppin Grapes and Beer offers a cozy vibe and friendly staff. This is a perfect date night or friends get together establishment. Their selection is vast satisfying a libation for all palates. The only suggestion would be to have a description of the samplings.

What a neat, comfortable, eclectic atmosphere! The flight of wines I had when I did a tasting was just divine! I will definitely be going back!

Fun/relaxing place to hang out, drink wine, and eat cheese/fruit. It’s a nice alternative to the normal bar scene. They have board games, but they’re a little outdated so I recommend bringing your own if you’re in the mood! One thing I love is that you can bring your own food or have pizza delivered there and no one cares — one of the only places I’ve ever heard of doing that. Just don’t forget your ID — they will kick you out even if you’ve been in there before and aren’t planning on drinking.

What an amazing and fun place. If you are looking for a place to relax or have a ton of laughs then this is the place. The owners are very personable and an absolute hoot. Their wine and beer knowledge is top notch. The atmosphere is the best I have experienced in any establishment. The wine and beer is awesome and don’t forget to order a meat and cheese tray. YUMMY! The owners hosted a «doTERRA Natural Bath Salts Making Workshop» for me last night and we had so much fun. It was one of the most fun and memorable evenings with a group of strangers I have ever had. I met 6 really amazing local ladies and we had the best time. The owners were very helpful and attentive to our group and everyone else there. I highly recommend Hoppin’ Grapes for a date night with your spouse, a girls night out, birthday parties, company parties, baby showers, quiet night out, etc. You name it and this venue fits it.

Nice place to have a quiet glass of wine or beer. You can sit on their couches, at the bar, or at one of the tables. Lowered raring for me is that they chill the red wine, unless you purchase a whole bottle of their select wines. Chilling exaggerates the tannins, changing the taste. Not as enjoyable for me. The service wasn’t as friendly as I had hoped, but not a bad place to escape the noisier places on town and have a relaxing glass of «chilled white wine» or beer.

We are from Tucson and were looking for a place to have some wine and kill time after lunch before meeting someone in hereford. This place is great! Comfortable and many options if you’d rather do tastes. The guy at the bar was very friendly.

Been here for 11 months and this is the first time I visited this establishment. I don’t know what I was waiting for because I should’ve been there sooner! Great selection of beer and wine. Found some PERFECT Hefeweizen there … so good! And they are very helpful with what you need. I will visit Hoppin’ Grapes again.

I love Hoppin’ Grapes Wine and Beer! It’s a great, casual place to lounge and unwind and the only place of its kind, that I know of in Sierra Vista. Wines and beers change regularly and it’s nice to enjoy weekly live music while chatting with a friend or two. This is one of my favorite places and I love that it’s locally owned. it’s about time we had something nice in this area.

Highly recommending Hoppin’ Grapes as the PERFECT venue for small group events! When I was charged with the task of planning a wine tasting for my company, I turned to the H & G crew for help and they were beyond accommodating. Making arrangements with the owners was a breeze. They were extremely responsive by phone and email, incredibly helpful with insights and suggestions, and consistently professional, yet so very nice! They were absolutely on the ball the night of our event, and the evening was a very well-received, blessedly hassle-free smash. Hooray! Phenomenal service, lovely atmosphere, delightful libations; all reasonably priced. So much win. ******************************************** Side note: 13 check-ins besides, I do not, in reality, LIVE at Hoppinn’ Grapes(even if, at one point, I may have mentioned them so often on Facebook, my father-in-law asked if I worked there). At best I stop in once a week(twice on a bad week at the office). Though, I would happily take up residence! There is zero shame in my wino game. If the owners were to adopt me, and I spent the rest of my nights sleeping on one of their many, cozy sofas, and the remainder of my days washing dishes for wine and cheese — no problem. But alas, I have other obligations; none of which prevents me from shouting about this wine bar from the Huachuca mountain tops! H & G is where it’s at. Preach it!

Love this place! Nicest place to drink in Sierra Vista! Friendly staff, broad selection of unique beers and wines make it a great place to spend an afternoon. Prices are very reasonable and the clientele varies from Huachuca hipster wannabes, old crusty salts to blue haired uptight officers wives club types. But, if you want a great beer and wine selection at great prices go here. If not, the Sorry’s across the street! UPDATE: The Sorry Gulch closed last month…

LOVE this place. So happy to see something like this in our beautiful little town. Great atmosphere and WONDERFUL owners and staff. It’s a great place to unwind after a day at the office(or after a hard day of Christmas shopping) and it’s the kind of place that you feel comfortable enough to go to by yourself or with a group of friends. They have some cool special events coming up that I am definitely looking forward to. Do yourself a favor and stop by my new favorite hang out spot and have a tasting, a glass or two of wine and/or beer, and buy a couple bottles of wine or mix and match some 6 packs of their featured beers to take home. I can’t say enough good things about it. Cheers!

Finally an establishment with alcohol where the point is not to get drunk. This is a comfortable, clean, and cultured environment perfect for a night out away from the kids. The owners(who also run the establishment) couldn’t be more friendly, generous, and knowledgeable of the products they sell. There are not enough good things to say about here except, Just go already.

I don’t know jack crap about wine. I grew up in a fundamentalist Protestant household where alcohol was not allowed, so we didn’t even get actual communion wine, just some canned Welches grape juice and some crackers. I do know how to put red wine in my most awesome, stolen-from-someone-on-the-internet spaghetti sauce recipe and that is about it. I read Trader Joe’s «Two Buck Chuck» was a good bang for the buck, so I just buy that when I am in Tucson. I tried a sip of it once. Yuck for drinking, yum for spaghetti sauce. My husband doesn’t know anything about wine either, so we figured we could both learn something and at least have something to do on a Friday night and we headed off to Hoppin Grapes. We showed up and the parking lot was PACKED. Good sign. They had a variety of tables, couches and comfy chairs as well as a bar. Our server was a very nice person who offered her wine welcome wagon services and asked us what we would like to try. We had no idea but figured we’d be more interested in a ‘sweet’ wine vs. a ‘dry’ wine because we felt we were figuratively sitting at the wine equivalent of a kiddie table due to our lack of sophistication. They didn’t care that we were wine idiots, they were happy to share their knowledge and be good guides. No judgment at all. So she started is of with a Pink Moscato which is probably the Kool-Aid of wines, we liked it just fine. We tried some other Moscatos and we liked those too, esp the Mango one — except my husband decided that the mango colored the wine a vivid, «It hurts to pee yellow» so he just couldn’t appreciate the flavor while looking at the color. I’ll have him wear a blindfold when we drink some again. They offered a meat and cheese board and since we are very good at eating, and not so good at wine, we figured at least there was something in the place we could be good at – so we ordered it for a mere $ 10. We got water crackers that paired well with some really GOOD goat cheese with cranberries and cinnamon and some olives and three kinds of antipasti kinds of meat and some smoked gouda and some other kind of cheese that I don’t recall but it was good too. We had fun picking what bites to eat with what wines to sip and how this sip affected that bite and vice versa. After tasting 3 – 4 wines, all of the sudden I got to a point where the wine was this crazy kind of delicious where you just have to have another sip to check if it was as delicious as you remembered it 37 seconds ago and so you sip and yeah, it *is* as good as you remember it but just as the new taste fades, you need another sip and HOLYCRAPNOW I GETITWHYPEOPLEARECRAZYFORWINE. Even if I did start at the Kool-aid end of the spectrum, I know that over time my taste would evolve and I would find myself gravitating to more dry wines like an actual grown up. In the mean time we took home three bottles of wine, the pink moscato, the mango muscato and this ridiculous dessert wine that probably what alcoholic hummingbirds prefer — it’s that sweet but OMG, I like it even if my husband says it’s *too* sweet. More for me! Thanks Hoppin’ Grapes I think next time we will take a cab there(and home) so we can keep drinking to check if the wine’s deliciousness is still there while keeping our clearances(and other motorists) safe.

Glad we found this place. We got our windows tinted next door and then that got us 20% off the wine tasting. So we went over and tried it. Great selection of wine. Nice décor inside. Great set up of couches and tables to sit and just unravel. The two ladies were very friendly and knowledgable on all the wine. We checked in on Unilocal and then you get 10% off when you buy a case. That’s not bad. I’d give them a 5 star, but we just wished they had the oyster crackers out while you taste all the wine. They had tiramisu cake and the cheese plate, but we figured we’d try that for later. A must try place for just kicking back and relaxing. Oh yeah, for those non-wine guys, they have a big selection of local beers in the fridge and on tap!
