Love this place. The menu has familiar sandwiches for those not inclined to venture out and slightly more interesting options for the«foodies». At the end of the day it’s all fairly traditional and down right delicious. The bread to filling ratio(which, after taste, is the most important part of a sandwich) is spot on. For my tastes it’s all about the Hell’s Kitchen or the Rapini. The location is small and does good business so I suggest calling it in but if you decide to dine there the friendly staff will have your food out lickety split. It’s my go to for a killer sando! HASYETTODISSAPOINT. I’m picky as f@$# so that’s saying something

Stopped here while waiting for my vehicle to be serviced around the corner. The dealer highly recommended this place. I ordered the lasagne and my husband had a chicken parm sandwich. My husband said his sandwich was worth a three star rating. My lasagne warranted one star. The menu states that the lasagne has mozzarella, ricotta, and parmasan cheese. My lasagne appeared to contain only meat sauce and noodles. The meat sauce had an odd texture, and the ratio of sauce to noodles was off. Too much meat sauce. I double checked the menu to see if I had read the description incorrectly. I had not. I took my food to the front counter and asked about the mozzarella cheese — which I expected to be on top. I was told the cheese was mixed in. I said fine and walked away, the cashier then offered to get more cheese. I declined as nothing was going to make the meat sauce taste better, or improve its strange texture. We were there about thirty minutes before closing, and it appeared we were the only customers waiting for food. It still took quite a while for our order to come out. The female cashier who took our order was pleasant.

What can I say this place never lets me down. Sure the only thing is it’s a little pricey but you get quality for your buck. Try to get here before the lunch rush. The sandwiches have great flavor and did I mention the quality products they use bread is soft and fresh. Specials for under 10 bucks sandwich chips and a drink. Not bad give it a try if you haven’t already. Hell’s Kitchen is what I recommend. Today I got the chicken cheese steak with wiz. Bread soaks up the chicken and onions flavor also add on the peppers or on the side. Great hot sandwich.

Trying this place on a coworkers recommendation, place is pretty spot on, but they really need to have a reality check with their prices. Ordered a large Hell’s Kitchen, potatoe salad(which is as awesome) and a drink, paid almost 20 bucks, I don’t mind paying a lot if I’m getting quality food and a good portion would be nice, Roccos has the quality handled but they definitely need to put a bit more meat in their sandwiches, like I said their potato salad is awesome but really more tha 3 dollars for a small container, «COMEONYOUKILLINGMESMALLS« Would I come back here, most likely not, have to see what Santa Fe importers has to offer, I need to point out that the prices is what would keep me away.

This is another hidden gem in Long Beach not far from the airport. I found this place on the Unilocal app, if it wasn’t for the app I’d never have found it. I recently changed jobs to this area and I’m still getting a feel for places to eat around my office and this one came in with good reviews and a descent lineup of Italian classic pasta dishes and sandwiches. I went for a 6 inch meatball sub, I called ahead to save time, and when I arrived my food was ready. I decided to take a seat on the patio and enjoy lunch. One thing I learned is when 2 fire trucks show up with hungry firemen for lunch, you know its a good place.

Stopped here on a whim while road tripping and it was the best decision of the trip! Very accommodating since we got there as we opened, offered to lettuce wrap my sandwich, and wrapping half the sandwich to take to go. Potato salad is a must! The owner even surprised us with a delicious marinated mushroom appetizer to try before our food was ready. Hidden gem!

Had the Park Avenue. It was quite enjoyable. The only reason for the 4 stars is that I wasn’t absolutely blown away by it. I’ll be eating there next week, though, and will update if my next sandwich does the trick.

Solid sandwich shop in the area. Had the Hell’s Kitchen, was a decent sandwich, but wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

Tony took care of me today. I was a first timer, and he took me through the menu. Everything is homemade! After a few minutes looking through the menu, I went with the Hell’s Kitchen and the Egg Parm pasta. Tony came outside and gave me a meatball on the house so that I could test it out. It was amazing! Homemade deliciousness. Before I got my food, I received a call from a family member and had to leave immediately. Tony offered to give me my money back, but I didn’t have time. Sooooo, I came back later in the day and he cooked me up some food on the spot. Even remembered my order from earlier in the day. And it was amazing! My new favorite sandwich spot

Decided to try Rocco’s Deli for lunch based on the Unilocal reviews, and honestly, I don’t know how they managed to average so many stars. This little sandwich shop is located in Signal Hill off of the 405 freeway and Cherry Ave. This shop offers indoor and outdoor seating. One bathroom for both M/F. No WiFi. Parking is hit or miss, but there is street parking. This sandwich shop is a corner unit of an industrial office/warehouse complex facing the street. You can’t miss it from the street. Service was good. Staff was friendly. Ordered their pastrami sandwich on a french roll. Honestly, there is nothing about this sandwich that makes it stand out from others. I have definitely had better, and for the price, you would expect a lot more. My buddy ordered their meatball sandwich on a french roll. Again, and average looking and average tasting sandwich. We shared half of each others sandwich. In my opinion, the meatball was not seasoned enough, and they could have used more sauce on the sandwich. Overall, I can see how this spot would serve the local businesses in the area. But, working out in the N. LB area, I don’t see myself coming back here. We have better tasting and less expensive sandwiches much closer to the office. Enjoy!

The guy working the cash register was a totally dick. Was unfriendly and the sandwich a total rip off. For 17 bucks it had as much meat as a McDonald’s $ 0.39 cheeseburger. Tasted good, BUTOVERPRICED.

For an around work place to eat, yeah, I’m a fan. Although if you compare their pricing to other sandwich shops, you might be alarmed. But, if you also take into account the taste and variety of sandwiches and other meal choices, I think you’ll be satisfied. It also helps that Unilocal offers a free fountain drink with your order if you check in before ordering(yea, that sounded a bit redundant). I had the sausage/meatball sandwich. If you like East Coast Italian sausage, you’ll like their sausage. For $ 9, the flavor was excellent but it was a little smaller than I thought it would be. It had one full sausage and two meatballs. But, even thought it looked smaller than I thought it should be, it was more than enough to fill me up. They also have a number of traditional Italian dishes. They guy sitting at the table next to me had a great looking bowl of pasta. Will definitely try one of those dishes next time I go it. Bring your wallet and enjoy the experience. Hope you have a great meal.

I went here for lunch one day. This is a deli mainly serving Italian eats, like hot subs and pastas. I got a hot Italian sausage and beef sandwich, which was okay. It was pretty standard with red sauce and cheese. It was of regular size(6 or 8 inch?) but the price seemed a little high(around $ 9 – 10). I probably should have stuck with the daily special, which came with a drink and side, and was a few dollars less. This seems like a popular lunch spot, especially with the many business neighbors this deli has. So far, its okay, but I am partial to the Deli News in Los Altos, which in my opinion is much better and have lower prices.

Meh. I had the Hell’s Kitchen and the Bronx Bomber. Price was definitely steep for the sandwiches. It was about 8 – 9 dollars for a six inch plus add on for chips and soda. The Bronx was good, it definitely had a lot of meat but the flavor was lacking a bit. The Hell’s Kitchen had a weird sour taste so I didn’t finish it. The place looks like it’s run down a bit. I would skip this place.

Great Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches! Thinly sliced ribeye steak, grilled onions and jack cheese topped with hot peppers on request. The bomb! My other go to sandwich is the Hell’s Kitchen. Rocco’s is a hidden gem in Signal Hill but worth seeking out. Forget Subway and Togo’s. Rocco’s blows those places away! They use Boar’s Head meats. Remember to do a Unilocal Check in for a free drink! They also have a punch card deal for a free 6 inch sandwich after 9 purchases. Score!

Solely based on the Italian Sausage & Peppers, I would have to say that Rocco’s was not one of my fave’s. Quite a letdown because I expected it to be better. Now to describe the sandwich… The sausage was dry, the onion and pepper mixture was slightly cold and vinegary, and the sandwich itself wasn’t even warm. I’m aware that basing my review off this one sandwich isn’t representative of the rest of the food on the menu, which is why I opted for two stars. Quite possibly, I might not know what a good Italian sausage should taste like, but all I know is that I was sorely disappointed with what I ate.

New York Style deli sandwiches is what I came in for as the name implies. At least thats what I think of when i see the word deli. The place had a cool New York deli vibe. The owner looks like a bit of of mobster. I thought, if I piss him off he might bury me in the back but it couldn’t be farther from the truth. He was very friendly and cool. The Time Square is what I ordered. Turkey and Smoked Mozzarella with romaine, sliced tomatoes, basil pesto, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It was good but what I didnt realize is that the owner specializes in authentic Italian pasta recipes. Sure the sandwiches are good but the pasta is unbelievable! Now I will definitely be back for the pasta!

Came to Rosco’s based on my boyfriend’s recommendation. I love the New York vibe this deli has. I spent roughly $ 18 for two sandwiches and chips, a decent price. I got the New York Times. A turkey, lettuce, tomato sandwich subbed with Swiss cheese and marinated with basil pesto. The basil pesto is what really brought this sandwich to another level. It was so good! I didn’t want to stop eating it. I never would have thought to add basil pesto spread to a sandwich, but now I won’t go without it. Would have given 5 stars if I could’ve chose Dutch Crunch bread, but from what I saw there was only one roll option.
