Valvo’s Convenience & Gas

Right at the top of the hill — Hanover Road — sits a very convenient convenience store called «Valvos» by the locals. I am unsure who the previous owners were — only stopped in there a couple of times for lottery tickets. However, I’ve stopped in here more then a few times now and so far — I am impressed.
Not only do they have gas — fairly competitive pricing considering the low cost gas right down the street past the construction on the Indian Reservation. They also have a quite extensive menu for take out or delivery. From daily specials, pizza, sandwiches to various chicken plates, wings subs and amazing sides. In addition they have all those forgot at the big market items that are easily picked up here. Add to that the friendly staff and you just can’t beat this place these days.
It is easy to get in and out of — ample parking most of the time and the fried chicken was AMAZING today! They normally have pizza slices to grab and go. And I must add that on Tuesdays the special is BOGO pizza from 11am to 7pm, but call ahead because with this deal you may wait awhile.
The place is your typical convenience store clean — I’m not sure about bathrooms, but I’d expect them to be ok. I will have to check them out next time, but I live so close I’d never use them anyhow.
So if you are traveling through and get a bit hungry — STOP HERE for a quick affordable bite to eat or cold beverage!
OMG — I just read this review — sound like I’m a salesperson for this place. Seriously — it’s just a darn good place and easily gets the 4 stars.
