Even though there is another ihop closer to us, we prefer to go to this one. It’s clean, spacious, and bright. On weekends, there’s a wait by 9. They have such an extensive breakfast menu option, where we can choose a simple two egg breakfast or various omelets: meatier or lighter or somewhere in between. Of course, the pancakes are wonderful-the pumpkin ones they have currently are delicious!

I love this location. The managers here are hard working. They bring food to the tables, seat guests, wait tables and clean them. we go in the middle of the night and the food is always hot and fresh.

I love IHop, I always get the T-bone steak and eggs, and here(although not completely cooked how I like) it was just as good as every other ihop I’ve been to! But our waitress wasn’t very nice, not that she was rude, just not very relatable. Towards her fellow coworkers she seemed happy but to my husband and I and other customers she was kind of cold.

On a normal day, this place would be three stars, food and service considered. But at my latest visit, the pancakes were excellent! I got Buttermilk Chocolate Chip Pancakes and they couldn’t have been more perfect. The pancakes were light and fluffy and chocolatey. It came topped with some whipped cream, lightly dusted with powered sugar, and sprinkled with extra chocolate chips for good measure. On the weekends, this place is packed and service is slooooow. We went on a Monday night and it was basically empty. Our food was prepared quickly and we were all pleased with our dishes. Although food service was quick, our waitress seemed kind of down– maybe because it was a slow night– and I don’t think she smiled once. Something to note about this place is that every time I go, they consistently do not have enough table settings when we get seated, and the waiter never seems to notice… We ALWAYS have to ask for silverware when our dishes come out.

Read a lot of positive reviews about this location so I had to see for myself. This IHOP location is always busy. First time I got here at 12:30pm and the wait looked like it would be 45 min so I came back the next day at 10:30am and it was just as busy. However, it was only a 15 min wait for a table of two. Before being seated I was happy to see that our booth was very clean. There were no left over tidbits from the last patron and the utensils did not have spots. Our food arrived very quickly and everything we ordered was correct. I was surprised that a location this busy would have great customer service but our waiter was very friendly and didn’t hesitate to ask if we needed anything. Overall it was a great experience. I will definitely be returning.

Fantastic service! The«healthy» food I ordered today was surprisingly tasty. Usually when a chain like this tries to go healthy the food tastes bad, but I was pleasantly surprised. The service was quick and really friendly, which was much appreciated. I was expecting the coffee to Taste like diner coffee but it was also surprisingly good. Overall I was impressed with my ihop experience today.

It’s best to make reservations before you come here during lunch and breakfast hours as the lines can get pretty long. The service is average and the wait time for food is longer than usual. The food is worth the wait though. Pancakes are fluffy and the country fried steak is to die for! I come here often with my friends because the restaurant is open 24 hours a day. You can never go wrong with pancakes at 3 am! Great place for cheap eats.

For impatient readers — let me first say that this IHOP is wonderful. It has been a true g_d send for our family, and I’m sure other families with elderly parents and relatives. It’s an IHOP … meaning the food is generally good to very good for a semi-fast food restaurant… but the service we usually receive is EXCELLENT. Kudos to all of the managers, specifically including Kamran Sarlak, Allen(«Big Al»), and Robert; the assistant managers; the servers; the cooks; and the bus staff. I cannot thank them enough for the good service and so importantly to me and my family — the respect and patience they show my almost 89 year old father and other elderly patrons(as I’ve observed on numerous occasions). I very, very, very highly recommend this IHOP. BACKSTORY: On average, I HAVE to go to this IHOP restaurant at least once or twice a week… E-V-E-R-Y week. My almost 89 year old father lives nearby and it is his favorite restaurant. He used to go to IHOP literally every D-A-Y… yes, every DAY when he could drive. My father has severe short term memory limitations — I will leave it at that. As a result, for the last 6+ years, I have strongly encouraged his eating out instead of his cooking his meals. This IHOP was his choice. He can’t drive anymore and has someone at home who helps with his meals, etc. Therefore, his daily IHOP days have been reduced to just a few days a week. As noted above, I accompany him once or twice a week. Pro’s of this IHOP: 1) The excellent service. The managers and waitstaff are fabulous with my father and other elderly patrons. In no particular order of importance, they are good natured, patient, friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, accommodating, and usually very attentive. They greet my father by name, know his regular orders, and frankly treat him like a celebrity. For a retired military officer with great pride, it means the world to him and to us that he is treated with the respect he deserves and has earned. I’ve observed that they treat other elderly patrons similarly; 2) The food is pretty good, actually. We all know that IHOP’s are the weekend and breakfast go-to restaurants and this IHOP is well deserving of the patronage(see my photo’s as an example; The coffee is also always good; 3) The prices are great for the 55+ crowd and not TOO bad generally; 4) The restaurant is open 24 hours; 5) The place is bright and well-lit. Con’s of this IHOP: 1) It’s starting to show it’s wear; 2) The late night menu starts at 10PM, has higher prices for the same items on the all day menu, and has fewer selections — all reasonable, but still cons in my book.

Great location, friendly staff, great food! Went here a few times, even on their busy day(Sunday morning) they rocked! Very little wait and the food yet again was really good. Clean well managed location, two thumbs up! I love IHOP!

Five stars because the staff here is delightful. Our waiter, Dewey, is a real gentleman(and a good waiter). Large, clean dining area, coffee carafe on the table(no waiting for a refill!), good prices and large portions. We arrived about 9:00am on a Saturday and had to wait only a few minutes for a table. No worries, there are comfy benches. By 10:00 there was a line out the door and standing room only so get there early! Clearly the locals know where to go for breakfast. Coffee provided right away, followed quickly by juice. Even with a full house we did not wait too long for our order. Everything was well prepared and tasty. Plenty of parking, a good size wait area, roomy booths, nice staff, tasty food, good prices. What’s not to like?

Love it! The best IHOP in the Rockville/SilverSpring immediate area that we have tried. We ordered an array of items, and we thought all of the food served was great. My Steak Omelette and pancake were amazing, can’t wait to go back! Also, their was a WAIT… However, it was well managed, and we waited, but not too long at all. Should of taken a pic of the amazing hot chocolate made for my son, it was drizzled with chocolate and looked so delish. Cheers to our great experience, the food, and the staff!

We go here occasionally because the food is fast, reasonably priced, tasty and the staff is pretty good. We just went yesterday on a Wednesday around 11am — so I’m not sure why my ordered was messed up when it wasn’t even busy. I order take out from them sometimes as well. I ordered a omelet and it was suppose to have broccoli in it, but there was only spinach, tomato, onions, and cheese. I ended up getting a side of broccoli from the kitchen, but it should have been inside my omelet in the first place. On top of that some of the spinach was brown and old. I have a photo to prove it; will attach it. We also ordered coffee and tea, but were not offered any water. When I asked for water with no ice, it was warm! They were not on point today at all, but I’ll still be back. The pancakes are awesome. The only bad thing about the pancakes is when you take them home, you have to separate them from each other or they’ll stick together. In short, the friendliness of the is decent, but the service and kitchen staff are not the sharpest tools in the shed. Enjoy your food but double check it(for freshness and correctness) when ordering take out and ordering in.

IHOP is not a place to go for atmosphere, but it is a great place to enjoy home cooked flavor or a great breakfast. I’ve had breakfast and lunch at this location and it met my expectations, being tasty. It’s a good place to stop in for a quick lunch during my work week. The staff is courteous and efficient. I’ll be back.

My husband and I are regulars at the Tech Road IHOP. We moved to the area in 2013 and have made this our place. One thing about IHOP no matter where you go in the country, it’s pretty consistent. The menu is the same, the service pretty much the same. Everything is the same reliable fare. Not Tech Road. Tech Road is FARSUPERIOR in every way to any IHOP we have been to. The place is clean, CLEAN. That’s very noticeable to me as I have worked in restaurants and know that if the bathroom isn’t clean, then the kitchen likely isn’t either. I’ve walked out of restaurants because of that alone. Okay now to the good stuff… The first thing I noticed on our first visit to TECHROAD is the special way they arrange the half & half in the little bowls. Anywhere else it’s just a little pile of containers thrown in the bowl. Who cares? Well, they do. They care that everything is done right. This is the only IHOP my husband I have been to anywhere in the country that provides boysenberry syrup and also heated maple syrup. The food is so much better at this IHOP than at any other and the service is always exemplary. On Saturdays and Sundays there is a crowd waiting to get in. Never fear. These people are fast. Just give your name inside and they’ll likely have you seated in about 20 minutes. The wait is worth it. Open 24 hours a day. We love this place. Thank you, Cameron. Thank you, Dewey. Thank you, LA. Thank you, Yanci. Thank you all!!!

I’m giving this Ihop 5 stars, I’d like to give it 6. Not because the food was magnanimous, it was good, and I was satisfied. But no, that’s not why. The service was so unbelievable for an Ihop that I’m still not sure I wasn’t just hallucinating from a lack of sleep. It was about 230AM, I couldn’t sleep &wandered into this place thinking I’d be alone, … wrong. There were about 6 tables of actually rather large parties of between 4 and 6 and then me. ONE guy was working ALL by his lonesome waiting and bussing tables. His name was Rob & he should have the credit of his name being mentioned because he was stellar. He had everything from a table of old French clubbers to a bunch of teens that should’ve had their as*es in bed hours ago and he handled EVERY table with kindness and respect. And when I say he was HUSTLING I mean it! He LITERALLY, for the entire hour I was there RAN, HERAN Between tables! NOEXAGGERATION. Almost like if he slowed down he may not have the strength to continue. Every table just watched him run and then we’d look at each other in disbelief like, «Wait… what did I just see?» :) My food came fast, exactly what I ordered. The BIGGEST short stack I’ve ever seen! Everything tasted great and as ppl started to mill in and out, Rob just kept running in between tables. I literally waited about 5 minutes for my drink, was speedy, i didn’t say a word and he took it off the bill because HE thought he didn’t bring it out fast enough! Bruh… you serious? I rarely get to tip 100%, but the bill was 12 bux and I tipped him the same because he was just that nice of a guy. This guy was the definition of pride in your job, no matter the circumstance and a total stranger earned my respect. Go to this Ihop, ask for Rob and thank him… ALOT! Nicely done. 6⁄5 noms! :)

So my three stars are not a reflection of the food. The food is consistent with most every other IHOP location. We have come to this location several times for breakfast on the weekends. There is always a wait and a very crowded lobby to be seated. The manager is awesome and does his best to accommodate everyone. The issue I always have is once seated the servers are hit or miss. I have left here very satisfied and happy and also left extremely disappointed. Good place to go but make it a weekday!

This IHOP deserves an awesome review… simply because the food is amazing, unlike the other IHOPS in this area. It’s always clean and welcoming. I’ve never had a menu handed to me after it was used to dispose of a roach, which happened to be running around on the table…:cough:ROCKVILLE:cough: I’ve never had unwanted seasoning on my food(hairy chicken fingers, anyone?) or wondered if my omelette was made the day before. I never have to beg for condiments, and wait an unnecessary amount of time. Here’s how every visit goes: –I come in, with a friend, usually after a night of shenanigans –We’re greeted at the front, and led to a seat of our choice –A waitress comes by immediately, gives us menus, and waits a minute or two for a decision on our drinks –After about 5 or 10 minutes, we place an order –The food arrives after 15 – 20 minutes. Sometimes it takes a little longer, but it’s ALWAYS fresh, served correctly, and delicious –We stuff our faces, while the kind waiter/waitress asks about the food quality –We nod our heads up and down that its good –He or she smiles, then walks away –We finish our meal, ask for the check, pay at the front, and leave. Its very simple. Good food. Good customer servies. A clean environment… all in a 24-hour location that will never judge the time you walk in. What more could you ask for from an IHOP? Seriously?
