Simply the best place to buy plants for your garden! A great variety. ²⁄₃ of the plants I bought at Home Depot have already died. That never happens with plants bought at j r wright. It’s definitely worth the trip.
My favorites are the tomato and cucumber plants!

Love this place. Buy my hanging plants here every Spring & haven’t found anyplace that sells sweeter peaches. Prices are very reasonable and staff are happy to load items into your vehicle.

My «go to» for fresh produce! The family that owns the place is awesome too. Mmmm summertime peaches and green tomatoes :)

We bought our Christmas wreath here over a month ago, added a few ornaments and ribbon, and it still looks beautiful hanging on our door! Not a needle has fallen. We highly recommend this place!

Warm and personal service, will definitely go back there for a christmas tree next year. They even gave our son an extra candy cane, come on!

I called here (not knowing if plant nurseries even do this type of thing) to ask if they could re-​pot my plant for me. I told the guy that the plant has sentimental value to me and I was too scared to re-​pot it myself because I didn’t want to kill it. Well, the response I get is «My boss is right here. He would be really frustrated if someone came in asking him to re-​pot a plant.» Frustrated?!? Why?! Maybe he could’ve just said «No, I’m sorry we don’t provide that service» or something along those lines because the way he said it made me feel dumb for even asking the question. Like geez sorry for asking a PLANT NURSERY if you guys can help me re-​pot my PLANT! My advice for anyone who decides to go here would be to watch what you ask for, you might frustrate the boss with your silly plant needs… –_​_​– *straight face*

This is the second year in a row I have taken my students here to buy flowers to plant for Earth Day. The customer service is wonderful, the staff are always helpful in recommending the best flowers for our purposes, and treat my students like angels.
The prices are more than reasonable and there are so many flowers/​plants/​herbs to choose from. I highly recommend J.R. Wright & Sons and will definitely not only continue to take my students here but will come here for my personal gardening! Thank you J.R. Wright & Sons!

Fantastic locally run nursery. Great customer service — holding plants, offering suggestions, and even telling people to wait (and lose sales!) on certain purchases given the expected downturn in the weather. It’s a relatively small location, but all of the plants were in good condition and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.

Awesome local owned nursery off New Hampshire Ave. They have a plethora of flowers at amazing prices. I got two pots of creeping petunias, two pots of marigolds and two pots of impatiens all for $ 10. That would easily have been double at Lowes or Home Depot. In addition, they have great produce and a vast array of vegatable plants.
Overall a terrific place to get fresh vegatables and fruits and flowers for your garden.

Can’t believe I haven’t stopped in to this place before! Intead, of stopping by this ultra convenient nursery, I had been trekking out to Home Depot and paying 2 – 3 times more than I was charged at J.R. Wright and Sons. They open bright and early (8 am), and I felt like I could have spent hours walking around looking at their various vegetable plants (multiple tomato, pepper, eggplant, squash, zucchini, cucumber varieties) as well as herbs galore. I got a pepper plant for just $ 1.69, which is incredible, considering I paid at least twice that for a plant I bought at Home Depot a month or so ago. In addition to veggies, they had strawberry and melon plants, flowers galore, and every type of potting soil or mulch you could think of. The plants looked strong and healthy, which is great, since I tend to kill anything that looks wimpy or undernourished. The service was quick and friendly, so I’ll be back ASAP… maybe even this afternoon!
I asked about hours, and they said they’re open 8 – 7:30 M-​F, and 8 – 6 on Saturdays and Sundays.

This is the only place I buy my Christmas trees, wreaths and pumpkins now. I’ve been coming here for years and years, and they always have a great selection.
I bought my Christmas tree here last night and the guy there was a huge help. He sawed of branches, wrapped my tree in netting, put it on top of my car, rang me up – all with a smile and a great attitude.
I recommend this place to anyone in the area.
