I hated dentists ever since I was a kid with braces for 4 year. Which is probably why I waited till my tooth was dying and my gums infected before finally going to see Dr Tappan. I felt very reassured after he explained what was going on with my teeth and was able to remove the infected teeth during my first visit.
I was surprised that he was able to remove two teeth and I experienced almost no pain during the procedure. I am not very responsive to Novocain and Dr Tappan listened to my concerns and was able to address this during the procedure.
Also I never felt like I was being to talked down to by Dr Tappan as has been my experience with many dentists. After 15 years of not visiting a dentist Dr tappan is now the only Dentist I would go to and even have a cleaning scheduled for next month.

Dr Tappan seems great, except the fact he left a METAL piece in my gum when he removed my wisdom teeth! Not until I moved and went to another dentist did I found out. No solutions after contacting about it and no apologies! Be very careful if you’d like to go to this dentist. I would give 0 star if I could.

If you are one of the people who is scared of dentists, you need to go see Dr. Tappan. He is extremely talented, and I promise you, he will change your mind about having dental work done. I had just moved to the area and I was looking for a dentist to do my root canal. I am very picky when it comes to my teeth, therefore, I was hesitant trusting Dr. Tappan. However, only after a short conversation and him examining me, I knew I was in good hands. Throughout the entire time I felt almost no pain. In addition, his staff is amazing and very attentive.

The whole staff provides wonderful service. I store most of my appointments in my phone. I loss all of my appointments when I updated it. The post card reminder that was sent to me was very helpful in reminding me of my appointment and saved me from making another phone call. Thank you!

I’ve been going to Dr. Tappan for the past couple of years and have referred all of my friends and colleagues to him. The entire staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and competent. Dr. Tappan himself knows his patients, and makes you feel at home.
As Raycal’s review points out, Dr. Tappan makes sure you don’t feel any discomfort or pain. So far I’ve had my wisdom teeth removed here and had a crown put on, in addition to more minor visits. Everything has been wonderful.
This is definitely the best dentist I’ve ever been to, and probably the best in the area.

Best Dentist ever. Makes you feel relaxed and lessens any discomfort or pain you might have as much as possible. It’s metered parking in front of the building. Also has FREE Wifi. Very professional and has a wonderful friendly staff. All of us go to him, kids included. I highly recommend him.
