Superfresh

This is NOT your average grocery store, because people are not generally as friendly. The salad bar, deli section, and seafood sections close earlier than most places. I think this is due to the lack of shoppers. A lot of times I come in and it’s like a ghost town. I think I can usually count the number of customers they have on all 10 fingers. That’s also why there is usually just one cashier.
Ever seen those commercials of depressing grocery stores with young cashiers and clerks who monotonously ring up items. *beep…beep…beep…* You know… those cashiers who look at you expressionlessly and don’t even bother to say thank you. The only difference between the clerks from those commercials and the ones at Super Fresh in Aspen Hill is that the clerks at Aspen Hill are older and sometimes meaner.
This is one of the most depressing grocery store’s I’ve ever been to. If it weren’t for some of the weekly specials and the convenience factor I wouldn’t bother with this Super Fresh. I think their best improvement has been the self-​checkout. Now, I don’t have to worry about slow clerks who aren’t friendly.

Super Fresh is my weekly grocery store of choice, not because it is as good as you can get, but because of convenience and proximity to my school (work).
A year ago I would have said, «Methinks not.» However, customer service has greatly improved. They used to be sooo rude and unfriendly. Believe me, I’ve seen what they deal with at the customer service desk when they are out of sale items (which is all the time), so I can see why the workers always seem stressed out.
The reason I choose this store other than being one mile from work? Double dollar coupons! Yeah, they USED to double coupons up to one dollar… up until about a year ago. My toothpaste was always free that way! Many folks stopped coming here after they stopped because their prices are higher than the neighboring Giant. Recently they started doubling coupons up to $ 0.99 and people started coming back to shop here again. They even occasionally offer triple coupon weeks.
So, because I know where everything is, I continue to shop here during the school year. I don’t love it, but I save money here, and I love money!
