Travis and his team came highly recommended by Todd Harris, our realtor. I have only praise for Travis and his team. The paperwork for closing a house is a monsterous mountain of paperwork to tackle and requires a tremendous amount of work. Travis and his team made this part of the closing as simple as possible. We were able to submit many of our documents to their secure website and we always received confirmation from his staff of the receipt of the documentation.
Travis and his team are professional, courteous, transparent, committed and regularly corresponded with me and my wife.
The bottom line — Travis worked with us to get the right loan with a great APR. He crunched numbers and then crunched even more numbers to make sure we got the rate and loan that best met our budget and our needs. Frankly, with the rate he got us he saved us thousands of dollars that we would have had to spend over the term of our loan.

Travis has been so helpful! This past summer we decided to go after our dream house. After working with Travis on our first house, we knew that he should be our first call this time around. He works so quickly, which is great given the current market. We called on a Friday and had a pre-​approval letter that weekend. He really made us feel taken care of by answering all of our questions and walking through every step. While we’re not looking to buy another house for a long time, I would definitely recommend Travis to anyone.

Most people don’t think about differentiation between lenders (money is money), but in the case of mortgage lenders in the DC area, there is a real difference. Travis handled my home loan closing in 2004 (I had an average experience in my previous house and went to him based on a referral) and he put me and my wife completely at ease w/​respect to our home loan process. He is a very personable guy and very even keeled. His team was quite courteous, efficient and everything was in order. He has subsequently handled two more home loans for me and one home refinancing (I know, I need to stop moving); he has also handled several home loans for my family. Each time, I have done my diligence w/​additional quotes, but his quote has always been at or below other banks (usually 1 local /​1 – 2 larger national lenders).
However, the measure of a financial partner is how they handle themselves during challenging times. I will remain committed to Travis (regardless of company) because of how he handled my loan during the financial crisis. He was very honest w/​me about what was going on in the market, proactively kept me up-​to-​date about new standards, underwriting processes, loan costs, etc. (things were changing quite rapidly) and ultimately delivered. I was going through a critical job change that ultimately would’ve had a major effect on my loan situation, but Travis provided guidance to allow me to make the most beneficial decision for my family.
Travis is more than a lender — he’s a financial partner and I highly recommend him and his team.
