The VA sent us here for an outside visit for my husband who is a disabled veteran. Nothing about the 1^st appt. went smooth. If that wasn’t bad enough this doctor was insensitive, rude, and disrespectful to my husband. He made a comment to him that, «Good job for getting disabled while in the military u have medical for life now.» 1^st of all we would rather NOT be disabled and if you think for a minute that we have medical for life than you need to keep your mouth shut because you know nothing about military and how their medical works. We have to go through a lengthy process for appts., then wait 2 – 6 months for the appt, then once in the apt we wait anywhere from 2 – 8 hours! I rarely complain but I let our referral know what happened and asked if we could go somewhere else to be seen as we didn’t want anymore problems. We were told we wouldn’t have any problems there. That if we switch doctors it would be months again so follow through with this one for now. We went to our 2^nd appt. and this time he talked to my husband like he was a child and me like I was his mother. It was apparent he was talked to about his behavior and was taking it out on us. At one point he didn’t care for my husbands comment so he said, «Let’s try this again.» Then proceeded to turn around look right at me and ask me the same question again that he asked my husband and then give me orders on what to make sure he does. I am his wife and caregiver you arrogant prick, not his mother. He is my husband and father to our 3 boys, not a child. My husband suffers from a traumatic brain injury and several other problems. We took the time to fill out forms about him and his health and he didn’t even bother to look it over himself. The 1^st visit we told him my husband was disabled and what happened. The 2^nd visit he apparently forget and didn’t bother to check his file again and asked if my husband worked. I honestly don’t know how he stays in business if this is how he treats his patients, maybe though its because most are older or hurt and so let it slide, but this wife fortunately has her health and isn’t to old to call him out on being a jerk to his patients. So, if you can get a different doctor.
