If you find a better coffee house anywhere on our planet, buy it! The bean is incredible!

I recently had the chance to check out Global Bean’s new location. I miss their old location, with the cozy atmosphere. At the present time, their new location feels a little bare and cold. However, I am sure they will make the best of the space once they get situated. I like Global Bean because they involve the community as well. If you look around you will often see local art and photography, both from aspiring local artists and students from local schools. At the old location, open mic nights for poetry slams, readings, and local musicians was common. I am excited to see if that tradition continues here. I always get the Global Spice latte. It is warm, sweet, and spicy, perfect for Washington weather. Time allowing, I order it «for here» rather than to go, as it is served in a hefty, homey mug. Not only is it better for the environment than a paper cup, but it just feels so comfortable. Their pastries and food are delicious as well. It seems like their selection varies slightly, depending on seasonal availability. I recommend trying a bit of everything, and finding your favourite.

It was a little too hot inside for me, the lady didn’t smile once and $ 4.35 for a 16oz hot chocolate in my own travel mug seemed way too pricey and she didn’t even ask if I wanted whipped cream! Very disappointed and won’t go again.

Update: will NOT go back here again! The staff is still very unfriendly and apparently don’t want customers. I visited with my mom and was snapped at by the barista because she was closing in 15 minutes! Wow! REALLY?! Does it take more than 15 minutes to make a coffee?! We left and neither of us will be back. This place makes amazing coffee and they have lots of outlets to plug in your tablet or other devices. I’m only giving 3 stars because I came in like usual to meet with my tutor and got scolded in the 1st5 minutes about using the wifi and not buying a coffee! I’ve bought coffee here every week for 9 weeks now!!! I didn’t want to buy something until my tutor showed up! Retrain your staff how to be friendly to returning customers and I’ll bump up my stars.

Good coffee. Good coffee choices. Good baked goods. The live music is nice. It’s a little small for a crowd. Nice natural light. Has wi-fi. I’m a little confused the hours they are open and can’t tell from the street if they are. Oh and there’s a fireplace

Nice place over here to relax and enjoy a good cup of coffee! Was quite surprised to find something nice like this over here… guess I’m just used to the commercial Starbucks feeling… but this is much better

Angry because there is a new owner and they haven’t bothered to update their hours so I go in for my birthday with my family to play board games and drink coffee and eat and they start turning the lights off. Would have been nice to know you closed at 4pm on a Saturday

I love the Global Bean up by Ridgetop, but not in the one in the YMCA. I cannot get enough of their Thai Tea, whether blended or in latte form it is perfect in summer and winter. The atmosphere is adorable and the open mic night is fun. I’ve had many friends perform there and have always enjoyed the show while sitting in one of the comfortable leather chairs and sipping great coffee.

I really have mixed feelings about the Global Bean. First thing I noticed was there were no espresso or macchiato cups and the cups they did have were flat bottom mugs… hum… I’m thinking to myself«this does not look good» so I ask for a macchiato and a short latte, answer«we don’t have 8oz and what size on the macchiato» I’m thinking«och! this looks really bad!» so I tell her Id like a traditional macchiato, and apparently I’m the first to order one in quite some time because she cant find any small cups so I’m forced settle for a shot glass. At this point I’m kind of wishing I’d gone elsewhere but wait… here come the drinks! and… oh my! well thats some fine latte art, and they taste splendid! So the moral of the story is… well… get the correct cups like every other semi serious place so you don’t scare too many espresso lovers away.

$ 4.35 for a luke warm 3 inches of foam grande latte. And admittedly day old pastries. Not interested in returning. No on was in line ahead of me, so check out was fast.

All of their baked goods are from costco– and just warmed up. And absolutely terrible service. There is a difference between trying to save a buck to keep your business running and just being cheap and I truly feel that the owner of this establishment is onery. I have great service from some of the baristas but I refuse to even ask for water if the owner, Joel, is behind the counter. When talking with friends and at the YMCA, I discourage everyone from going there. I would rather support another business with an owner who actually cares about his customers. I would also like to add that is is bad business for the owner to decide during each transaction what he is going to charge the customer. I have been charged different prices all in the same week for the same product with absolutely no changes made to my order. The owner is just bad news all around…

Cute place to grab coffee and catch up with a friend. The ambiance is great, and the place always has plenty of seating. I’ve enjoyed all of the drinks that I have ordered there, especially the Vietnamese coffee. The baristas have always been helpful and really nice!

Really good place to spend a rainy day. The baristas were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. My friend and I went in for a coffee to chat and they let us know they were going to close earlier than expected but not to feel rushed. Really great customer service.

Great coffee! My favorite place in Silverdale to grab a latte. Their snacks/treats are tasty and the atmosphere is nice. My only complaint is the service can be slow occasionally, but great coffee is worth the wait!

Great place to come if you need Wi-fi. They have lots of outlets to plug in and it is free Wi-fi. The coffee is great. I love the cherry«Italian soda» they make. Staff is always friendly. A little pricey, but probably because they use quality products. I have not tried any food yet.

I drove all the way from Belfair for this place. On more than one occasion. In fact, I’m here right now. It seems like writing a bad review of a place I’m currently sitting at would be uncouth or hypocritical. Maybe I’ll bad mouth the sugared up boy scouts sitting behind me instead… I would suggest only ordering their food offerings if you’re really hungry. If you just want a nosh, try getting a drink with lots of milk in it. Your money will be better spent. I like the offerings of this place. These would all be standard fare in a metropolis, but for Silverdale, they make this place a standout. Free wifi, good music, lots of seating, ample electrical outlets, cute hipster baristas, beer & wine(also there are select liqueurs), locally produced art hanging(for sale) on the walls… I’m not an espresso expert, but I have a friend who drinks it by the cupful when she’s not preggers, and she loves it. Says it’s real smooth. I’ve usually ordered tea when visiting this joint, as it is usually later-ish at night. They have an extensive tea selection, nice individual pots, and handy timers to tell you when your brew has been steeped to recommended perfections. [May I take a moment to point out that the review next to me has the phrase«Sweet beard of thundering Zeus» when referring to the selection of oat-sodas in bottles here? That just begs to be mentioned.] The coffee here is very specifically selected according to some mysterious coffee snob system and it is fine. I’m sure you could learn lots about the various roasts and sources from which it came if you asked, as the staff seems generally congenial and knowledgeable. Prices are reasonable. Walls are painted in faux-fresco styles. That too seemed worth mentioning.

The Global Bean is a perfect addition to Silverdale. Since it opened about two years ago, it’s been the place for hanging out, listening to music, and drinking coffee and tea. The espresso is great — better than Starbucks by far. The owners are often there, and they are approachable and friendly. The live music is always wonderful and local music really has a chance to show off. Even in the afternoon, someone will be playing the piano for guests. It completes the ambiance of the place, already filled with rustic decorations and local artwork. My usual drink is a half-pump global spice latté(I always think flavored drinks are too sweet) but, honestly, their lattes are second to none. Foam artwork is always a plus.
