I Love this place. Great food-great beer and really good live music on special occasions! Love the décor, it’s like a piece of history itself.

Hands down the BEST wood fired pizzas we have ever had. Highly recommended! The décor was well done and the staff was friendly and informative about the area to tourists.

I visit Silverton often — was psyched when I saw a new brewery. Sorry, but I gotta go 2 stars because«breweries» traditionally«brew» beer. Every time I check-in here I’m told it will be «a couple weeks», «end of the week», etc before their beer is ready. That was early this summer, and it’s now November. I’m all for local breweries and understand start-up challenges, but please be honest about your brewing timeline. If you don’t know, just say so! Pizza was OK, tap list was ok, 5 – 6 beers for $ 5+.

For Silverton this place is fantastic, my tree hugger pizza was delicious even with gluten free crust. My companion was not impressed with the standard pizza though, the regular crust is a bit doughy, gluten free was thin and crispy. Service was a bit slow at first, but once he helped us he was very attentive. They have an okay selection of beers, they still don’t have their brewery running. Has a great atmosphere, I’ll be back!

Fun place for just beers, salads and pizzas. Great service and reasonable prices. Always worth a drive from Purgatory.

Pizza was pretty good, although we were a bit disappointed that their own brews were not ready. They carry several other micro brews from Colorado and other states, but the selections were limited. It would be better if they could carry beers from nearby towns’ nano breweries. The price was reasonable, and the service was fast, so this is a lot better than some of the tourist traps in this little town.

Seriously, some of the reviewers here must have been short on oxygen due to the altitude. Downgrades because the brewery isn’t going yet or no appetizers on the menu? How about the important stuff — the yummy pizza, ice cold beer and the quick, efficient and friendly service? Very reasonable price wise as well, pizza for two, soft drink and two beers for $ 25. We were in Silverton for the history and scenery but were pleasantly surprised to find good food as well.

Loved the atmosphere of this restaurant. Rustic Victorian. Tin ceilings. Wood floors. Rustic planked tables. Chalkboard walls with everyone’s drawings, messages, and the drink menus on them. Bar in the back. Pizza oven/kitchen out in the open. We ordered pizzas. Delicious. The Fish Hole was a white sauce pizza with lobster on it! Two of our kids built their own pizza. This would be our only negative because looking on the menu their pizza should have only cost about $ 8 or $ 9, but when we got the bill, it was $ 20. I guess they charged that amount twice for two people. We would have just ordered them a kids pizza if we had known that cost. Overall, very nice place!

This place was just ok, the service was slow and not very friendly. This pizza is a thicker crust that I care for and there are no apps on the menu.

Very possibly the worst pizza I have ever seen come out of a wood fired oven. The toppings are of dubious quality, but that usually just makes for forgettable pizza, not inedible pizza. The crust here is what is unrecoverable: hard, stale texture with absolutely no flavor. It’s like eating sawdust. I’d say they need a new recipe, but I find it hard to fathom that there’s even a recipe this bad. I think they’re probably just buying some generic pre-made pizza dough and expecting it to work in a wood-fired oven. I could barely choke down half my pizza. They wrapped it up for me(which I don’t recall asking for), and I tossed it in the nearest trash can after leaving. At least there’s one positive: it made me kind of appreciate the mediocre pizza they have at Avalanche. This is still one of the cooler spots to hang out in Silverton, and the service was decent, so I can’t give it one star(I’m even tempted to give it three, because pretty much all the food in Silverton sucks). This could be a decent place if they hire someone who actually knows how to make pizza.

New but definitely becoming popular. Local brew should be tapping in a few days. Good bartenders, and wait staff. Give it a try.

Neat little place with some Colorado ambience. They brought us really cold water in two stopper-top bottles to pour ourselves. Neat idea, but we definitely had to ask for those to be refilled. The red sauce is thick and savory and they are generous with it. If you aren’t a fan of a lot of sauce, it might be worth asking for light sauce. The crusts are thick and have a good woodfired smell and flavor. My personal favorite had buffalo chicken, white sauce, red onion, and bleu cheese crumbles. We had another with pepperoni, pineapple and fresh diced jalapeño that was really delicious. Since we over-ordered, we took out an entire box of pizza and it was good leftover. Try this if you’re hungry for pizza in Silverton. You won’t be sorry.

This place only gets a 2 because it is called a brewery, and they are not brewing yet. It is spacious, and can accommodate a crowd.

What a great place! Coming from Nashville, this pizza joint would be a success anywhere, but to find it in Silverton was awesome. I grew up in Durango, and I’m so glad to see a business in Silverton so forward thinking and have great quality food. I got a secret taste of the upcoming brews, and I’m excited to be able to order it when it’s ready! Don’t hesitate to try the pizza too! The Fishing Hole and The Tree Hugger were superb! I can’t recommend Golden Block enough!
