I am so happy I chose So Cal Screen to install my retractable screen doors. The whole process was fabulous. From the initial meeting with Brice, where I got an estimate, to the expert installation by Carlos. I was so happy that I recommended So Cal Screens to my mother, and she too is overwhelmingly happy and impressed with Carlos’ installation and the product itself. My only regret is that I didn’t call So Cal Screen sooner! If I could give ten stars I would!

Just had our screen installed and the whole process has been very smooth, fast and reasonable. Spent a lot of time researching and looking at competitor product, but didn’t find anything else that compared. Note: the metal door pull is worth the extra expense. The reason for the 4 stars is that, since we just had it installed, we don’t know how this screen will perform over time, nor how the company will stand behind their product. But in their favor, they were the only ones who told us to keep the screen rolled up when not in use, to elongate life and quality. Duh! We’d left our old screen open all the time.

This company is not reliable. They had a difficult time committing to an appointment and changed a few times. Once they committed they did not show up. I called and emailed after awhile to ensure they were coming. They called after 45 minutes with an excuse of traffic. I doubt if they had even remembered to come out. I took time off of work and I expect reliability. You can find other companies that are more reliable. I want the screen and will find another company from which to purchase. This company is a time waster and unreliable at best. DO NOT SHOP THERE.

We now have two screens installed by Southern California Screen. The screens are great and the system works beautifully. We love the fact that no matter what color framing you choose the price is the same whereas others charge more for color selection. We just had one of the competitors screen removed today and installed a ClearView Retractable Screen on another door in our home. The installers were great — very proficient and what a team! And here’s the icing on the cake: These are made in the USA! Highly recommend this company and this product!

We had a family reunion coming up and our cat had thrashed the sliding door screen. We called ClearView Retractable Screen by Southern California Screen and they came and measured our door. We have a large sliding door and they assured us that their screen would retract smoothly. They rushed the order and installed it before the reunion. The screen is awesome and has been working great. These types of screens are so nice in Southern California because it is only visible when you have it open. When it is retracted you have a ‘ClearView’ as it is hidden.
I highly recommend them.

All is well that ends well. I bought a Clearview retractable screen about 18 months ago. It never quite closed correctly. Randy had his tech Nick come out to my house 3 different times until he was finally able to figure out that the roller was defective from the factory and then replaced the roller and now everything is perfect. I consider this Great customer service. After 18 months they replaced the screen so I could have one that works properly. I’ve read some of the reviews and can only say that Randy is a very busy guy, but if you speak directly to him, he’ll make good on whatever he needs to do to keep his good name. I really feel these are good people.

These guys are the best. The product is fantastic… very high quality and very well made. We just had three of them put on our extra large French doors, and for the first time in years we have fresh air in our living room! Randy helped us pick a color that perfectly matches the stained wood of the doors, which makes the powder coated screen casing almost invisible in the door frame. And Nick installed them perfectly.
I think this is the best product made in this category, and So Cal Screens is the best! Would use them again in a heartbeat.

This company is the only local dealer for Clearview.
I’ve had the Clearview Retactable Screen Door for a few years now.
It’s a great way to not cover your attractive front doors and still get a great breeze in tha house.
When they are open ya really can’t see them.
These are the most expensive screen doors I’ve ever seen but I gotta say, they are the best.
The CRSD has a lifetime warranty. Nothing else does.

We decide to get a retractable screen door after some friends recommended Southern California Screen to us, and we are so glad we did! The entire process from our initial call to the installation went smoothly, they were very easy to work with. Carlos came out to install the door and he was on time and very friendly.
We’ve yet to encounter any issues with our screen door. I love that when you aren’t using the door, it retracts back in to the frame so that you can hardly see it.

Maybe it’s a matter of chance but my experience with So Cal Screen was a positive one. My first experience on the phone with them was great! I was able to get through without issue and I was able to set up an appointment that worked around my work schedule.
Nick came by our place and did a solid job installing our retractable front door screen. He arrived at our home on time and was friendly and personable during his visit. It’s been a few months and I still haven’t encountered any issues.
To me it looks like So Cal Screen has cleaned up their act. I was very happy with my purchase and would gladly have them install at my home again.

i would like to comment on the fine service and repair of my double 8 ft. door screens that Southern California Screen installed. The price was fantastic and the quality is very good. It was hard to have a good estimate on these French doors. My neighbor had 2 installed from a competitor and always had problems.
I had a hiccup on one screen and Nick had it taken apart in 5 minutes and ordered a part and 2 days later it was fixed. Nick even waited for me 10 extra minutes and fixed it with a smile and speed. They know their screens and compensated for my doors being out of square. First class screens and service,

I would like to report West Side Screen Door for fraud and complete incompetence. It’s owner, Randy, not only has taken our money without finishing the work we paid for our home, but his team has also failed to properly conduct themselves in our home and inadequately worked with the materials they promised to secure.
When Randy’s team first came to our home for an assessment, we had planned on putting screen doors on our numerous balcony doors and bedroom/​bathroom windows. However, on the day of the first installation (Monday, August 4^th, 2014), Randy’s team member, Nick, came into our house with muddy shoes and soiled all of our carpets. Randy was quick to compensate us for the damage, but Nick then continued to work in the house with varying results. He neglected to install my son’s upstairs bathroom screen, which was the most important screen of all, and he also improperly installed a screen in the master bedroom. It opens on its own, its not a phantom like we asked, and it snaps quickly rendering it dangerous.
In addition, Randy’s company did not prepare the correct number of screens for the first installation appointment. Moreover, even though Randy graciously deducted from his company’s fee for the cleaning of our carpets, the process still cost us wasted time and energy for our baby son to be out of the house, furniture to be moved, and other arrangements had to be made. But to finally push customer care out the window, he cancelled the installation of my son’s missing screen at the last minute rather than giving us notice ahead of time.
We have made several attempts to contact Randy directly about either finishing the job or giving us a refund, but he has not returned our calls or emails. His company deserves to be repped as blacklisted. We hope that your company can make sure that other consumers are out there and aware of the fraud that is West Side Screen Door.
