We visit Karen and Gary often. They have moved to Theresa’s on Erringer. We swap cat stories. There will be a place in heaven for these two people I’m sure. Magnificent Catophiles.

Gary and Karen run this kitten/cat rescue service, and I’ve seen them for years, adopting out kitties at Big Al’s Pet Food Warehouse. I haven’t gotten a kitten from them(yet!), but I have donated a lot of cash to them over the 5 or so years I’ve seen them at Big Al’s. They have such big hearts, they take these little ones from the pound or the«kill shelters» and raise them from newborns. It’s so sad the shelters will rip these little ones away from their mothers when they’re babies, but a blessing that they have Gary and Karen to look after them until they find forever homes. They will bring the bottle babies with them to Big Al’s in a warm little cat carrier and bottle feed them every 3 hours. The already-adoptable cats and kittens are penned in, and you can ask to pet one or sometimes hold one, depending on the disposition of the cat. The kitties Pawpurrs adopts out are all fixed, vaccinated, no fleas, microchipped, litter box trained, and adorable! Some are more social than others, but of course it’s up to the prospective pet parent to decide what personality fits theirs best. I love their cats, they are all so adorable in their own way. None are feral or overly skittish, they’re very well socialized. If I could have three cats, I would TOTALLY adopt from them, but for now I will wait until I just have 1, I have an elderly cat so I don’t want a kitten at the same time. In the future sometime, though, I will most certainly adopt from them if they are still at Big Al’s in the coming years! Funny fact: I come there almost every weekend to say hi, drop in a few bucks in the donation fishbowl, and I asked Gary if I was their only«groupie» who drops by frequently, and he said there are probably 12 – 15 who come by every weekend just like me!

What an amazing kitten and cat rescue! Karen and Gary are two kindhearted, knowledgable and friendly couple who run the rescue. They are at Big Als on Friday, Saturday and Sunday every week. They are the animal rescue that takes in kittens who need to be bottle fed and kittens from all over who are going to be euthanized. ALL of their kittens and cats come spayed/nurtured, microchipped, and with their first set of shots(the third shot is included in the price and you bring in your kitten about a month later and they give them the shot right there in the store). Our family was looking for a specific type of kitten personality to mesh well with our other two older cats and they we’re able to suggest the perfect one. Since they have raised the kittens since birth they are very knowledgable in each kittens individual personalities and traits. They talked to me for a long time about how to introduce our new kitten to the older cats and everything went smoothly because of all their helpful advice. They always get back to me quickly when I email them with any questions about our new kitty even though they’re so busy! I got to meet one of the other foster moms who takes in kittens before they’re adopted out and she was really sweet and amazing as well. ALL of the cats are in good hands before they come home to you. They don’t do this for money, they do this our of the kindness of their hearts and so they can make a difference in the lives of animals that would otherwise be thrown away(literally they take in kittens who have been found in dumpsters and are at shelters that are about to be euthanized) . So if you’re ready to get a kitten and put in the time and effort it takes to be a good kitty parent, look no further than Pawpurrs Kitten Rescue! THANKYOU so much Karen and Gary!

Tell your friends. Absolutely amazing people with Gary and Karen. A tough job they do. Recently Moved to Theresa’s feed store Simi Valley. Cell: 8183262580. email; Many of their kittens were bottle babys from the shelter, rescued just hours from euthanasia. Some brought to them injured, and they rush them to the Vet at their expense. Their kittens are pre-chipped, fixed, up to date on shots, and the kittens are litter box serious. And are they ever healthy! You are ready to roll with their savvy super kitties with the coolest personalities. Our cat of 21 years finally tapped out at the end of his life-cycle, and then Gary and Karen brought this amazing character of a cat into our loving home. Pick the kitty of your choice as you see fit, or: They really understand and know the kittens they are adopting out. No two cats have the same personality. Perhaps just give them some idea of your home situation, dogs, other cats etc, and if you want, they can give you sound guidance with your selection. If you wish, in the future, they will support you with advise and help in raising and maintaining your cats health and Vet selection with a simple phone call. Ya don’t meet great people like them very often.
