As a displaced New Yorker(yes, we all preface our statements with that disclaimer), I feel there is one item that differentiates a good pizza place from an exceptional one. How are their calzones? For this place, the answer is fantastic! Cheesy, baked and with a generous helping of garlic. Best I’ve had since leaving NY.

Awesome food and an owner, Neil, who knows how to run a biz and please his customers. We had a pizza delivered to us on Valentine’s Day in the shape of a heart. Just the best Neil! Thanks(your friendly neighborhood Warner Bro’s dude)

I am addicted to East Coast Pizza. My wife says I have a problem. Its my go to fast take out of choice. Personally I have been known to go 2 to 3 times a week. Food is always fresh, hot and out of this world. I’m originally from New York and this is by far the best Pizza Pie I have found on the west coast. So glad its in Simi Valley, the town I call home…

Tried them for the first time about a week ago I have to say an amazing Pizza most def one of the best I have had in a while you can tell the ingredients are fresh and chopped daily. The pizza ha a very distinct and original flavor of its own I will most definitely be ordering here more often a friend told me to try the Wings supposed to be off the hook so will try them next time, and will most definitely post to share my other experiences any one who is in the Simi Valley area a must go.

My wife and I love East Coast Pizza. I’ve been to New York a few times, so I’m always trying to find the best traditional New York-style pizza. From what my wife has told me, East Coast Pizza is probably the closest. They serve that great thin crust, with big slices, loaded with toppings. The white pizza, especially the gouda and sausage, is great. They also sell pizza by the slice for a quick bite. Best of all, they deliver up to my house, which several of the pizza places in Simi do not. I highly recommend it.

We have eaten here 4 or 5 times now and we have to say the food is consistently delicious. We have ordered the Family special, great deal for a Friday movie night with the kids and tonight we had the Lasagna, Wings and Philly Cheesesteak. All of which were super duper delicious!

Ehhn, I’ve given them a few shots but I think I won’t come back. It’s a bit too thin and soggy for my liking, and the leftovers are really bad and greasy. The cannolis are tasty, and at first the pizza is, too, but not enough to warrant 4 – 5 stars. Oh, and as a former New Yorker(lived there 6 years), I must say this place doesn’t deserve to call itself«East Coast Pizza.»

I moved here from Connecticut and had to find a good East Coast pizza place. And boy I sure found it. Authentic pizza. Owner is from the east coast. Place is great. Can’t recommend this more highly from a life long East Coast pizza eater, this is top notch.

I’m not going to lie but I’m a little finicky and the person taking our order was very accommodating. The pizza was really tasty as we’re the chicken wings. I will definitely make a trip out here just to eat here again.

My first time eating east coast. Here’s my review on it. Need laxatives? Eat a pizza from east coast. It was the greasiest pizza I’ve ever eaten. I wiped my pizza slice with a paper towel and it still was dripping… It wasn’t that good tasting either. And all I eat is greasy foods. But the pizza was literally wet and soggy from all the grease.

Update: Received a great, prompt response from owner apologizing and offering to replace my order. Definitely made me willing to give it another try.

Ordered a 10″ personal pizza(4 slices) with four toppings and was charged $ 11.10 which was 22% off their normal price. Pizza quality was o.k. since the toppings had slid off the side of the pizza upon arrival home. I see that this is the result of the pizza not setting up prior to cutting it up( ) This may or many not be the case but I’ve ordered pizza(other places) for take out on several occasions and not had that happen before. The place is ample for simple dining but the night I went they gave me a alerting device to let me know when it’s ready and I went to the counter to pick it it’s more of a self serve type of joint. While ordering by the slice is great, you have to watch what your paying per slice when you add those toppings as comparing a personal pizza with four toppings vs. a slice with the same four add’s a premium of about 47% in comparison. In summary I give them a 4 for value, 2 for pizza quality– thus the 3 stars. I will try them again and will update my rating should my experience change.

OK, we’ve tried their food 5 times so far so it can no longer be considered an isolated incident and I can write a fair review about this place. Simply put, they are inconsistent and when it’s bad, it’s so bad that it has to be tossed in the trash, and that’s how it was today, AGAIN! The first time I actually spoke with the GM or the proprietor and he was apologetic and gave us some coupons. Note, we never used your coupons. Give my family a good meal and we’ll gladly pay the market rate. One would ask, if it’s that bad then why 5 tries and that would be a very rational question. The answer is that the 2 times that it wasn’t bad, it was excellent pizza and the entire family enjoyed it. The score is 3 good meals, and 2 horrible and inedible meals. Same items, same place ordered at different times of the week. I can assure you, we won’t have a 6th meal here. They had more than their fair chances to CONSISTENTLY put out a great product.

I love a legit pizza done right. With homemade and hand formed dough with top flight ingredients preferably cooked in a wood burning high heat oven(dome)… I stumbled across The East Coast Pizza Co. while grabbing a Starbucks next door and decided to take a gander inside and it felt like a little NY pizzeria transplanted from Brooklyn to a Simi Valley strip mall yeah I know NY pizza in Simi blah blah blah. It was really good in fact very good. Mind you it’s not in the rarefied pizza conversation with Pizzeria Mozza, or Custom Pie locally or the crown jewel in the west Pizzeria Bianco in Phoenix, but a very good well made NY pizza with really good dough. I ordered a jumbo(really big) $ 19 for the plethora of pizza aficionados waiting at my house like vultures and carnivores lol I asked East Coast if they could divide the pizza into quarters for me which they gladly facilitated as follows; White with clams and garlic(Very good) BBQ Chicken(Kids favorite) Buffalo Chicken with Jalapeño and Cilantro(good with a nice savory taste) Ultimate Spinach(Very flavorful) I would have preferred that the spinach was sprinkled on as opposed to balled up and placed on top like meatballs) personal preference but still good. They have most of there pies on display and sold in slices for on the go and with kids out and about. But The freshly made pies were the better choice. Clearly a really good NY style pizza place yes in Simi but very good option if your in the area or just passing through trust me grab a pie. They have a handful of tables to eat in and a nice outdoor courtyard shared by the other adjoining restaurants to enjoy. It looks more like a delivery or grab and go pizzeria. All in all a really good pizza find in Simi. Being that I don’t live in the area but occasionally I either drive through or my kids have sports commitments nearby that will be a great pizza option.

Love this pizza place! Their pizza is the best i have tasted here in Cali, it is hard to find good pizza once you’ve eaten pizza from back east. They also deliver everywhere in Simi lol!

Came here for the first time couple days ago and ordered from their«secret menu» a slice of pizza with clams and a white sauce and it was freaking amazing. I can’t believe I never tried this restaurant before. If you like clams then you have to try the clam pizza and you will definitely not be disappointed.

I’ve had Brooklyn Pizza before at a place called«Best Pizza» and it was the best pizza I’ve ever tasted in my entire life! The pizza at this place was really raelly close to it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I wasn’t fully satisfied. The center of the x-large pizza was a bit too greasy. That’s it’s. Just the center of the pie, the tip of the slices. Other than that, best pizza in the west coast so far. Clean place. Make sure to check in first… For a 15% discount on your purchase.

I had their cheese pizza by the slice once and it was pretty good so I decided to try them again. I should have stuck with pizza but was wanting a pasta dish. I ordered their meat lasagna and a house salad. The salad: nothing special in fact I think it was on par with mcdonalds if that gives you a clear picture. The salad came with a packet of kens brand dressing. For a pizza place I’d expect it to have homemade Italian dressing if it’s anywhere besides a Pizza Hut or other chain. The lasagna: I would have been better off buying a frozen lasagna and throwing it in the oven(it would have been ready quicker anyways). I have never had a bad lasagna until now. It tasted plastic and microwaved. If it was homemade they need to tweak the whole thing. I’d say if you stick to the basic cheese pizza slice you’ll not be disappointed but don’t waste your money on the other menu items.
