I have been a loyal Vons customer for years This weekend I bought a package of seasoned chicken thighs. When I went to cook it they had actually packaged wings and labelled them as thighs! RIPOFF! I tried to complete the online complaint form but no matter how I entered the dates it didn’t accept them and of course they just show a red exclamation point and don’t tell you what format they want. Think I may be done with all Vons-not just this one

I just switched over to vons from going to target. They have a way better organic food and produce selection as well as all the basic necessities. I love the car shopping carts they have for toddlers and young children. It helps to keep my daughter entertained. I’ve also noticed how friendly there employees are. How they always ask to help you to the car, they take your cart for you and put it away etc. great customer service

So random but the sushi here alone deserves the 5 stars. I live close to this Vons and from time to time pop in for quick pick ups. I always pass the man making the sushi and he seems so kind pleasantly smiling and I always thought one of these days I’ll try his sushi creations. I’m glad I did! I requested a rainbow row and he told me he was busy but could make it in a few minutes which was fine as I still needed to do a bit of shopping. My rolls were done quickly I took them home and all 4 rolls my boyfriend and I shared were so delicious and fresh. So next time you pass that sushi do not hesitate to try it! It’s better than some I’ve had in actual sushi bars. The rest of this Vons always meets my expectations. I love their carts with the perfect cup holder for your Starbucks cup. Their flowers arrangements are gorgeous and have stayed fresh for some time when I have purchased them. The produce section is always stocked and I love the selection of cheese they have!

Von’s for the most part are kinda pricey. You can get better saving at other big chain markets. Not going to post their names here because the review is on Vons. However I do like the Starbucks that’s located inside this location. Never really busy. They also have a Deli section, with a few employees who are always their to help you. A self serve of different soups and a wide selection of olives, cheese and crackers. Plenty of parking for this location, never an issue with that. For the most part this store really doesn’t seem to be real busy at times, always a good choice to get in and out. Another key factor is they also have a large selection fresh flowers as you enter the market, along with cards. Never any issues with this location or the employees. Friendly service with a smile.

Now a Haggens. No longer Von’s. Not much of a facelift to this store. Lots of new faces inside. Hope it worked out for the loyal former employees. Not impressed with the more expensive prices. No problem. We all have choices.

The customer service is okay. The cashiers can tend to be a little nosy, but I guess that’s their job. I got what I came for and some.

I go to this grocery store a lot, mostly because its conveniently located right down the road from where I live. Recently I brought my service dog in with me to grab some cold medicine and I was rudely interrupted by a lady named Jackie. She was standing at the cashier desk and saw me walking towards the pharmacy area. She started shouting across the store, causing a scene, asking me if my dog was a service dog. I said yes and she sarcastically asked if I had any proof. I told her that I had his documents saved on my phone and began to show her and then she rudely walked away, saying she had a customer she had to check out. I went and got the medicine and sure enough her line was open so she checked me out. She continued being rude by saying that I should not come in without a tag and she continued to give me dirty looks while talking to me in a unbelievably rude tone. You can go here for groceries but stay away from Jackie, look for Lisa if you need any help, she’s great. As for me, I’m a Trader Joes fan now, only using Vons for their redbox.

The store is generally really large and organized. The parking lot is large so I never have any issues finding groceries when I need them. The staff are pleasant, though no one really offers to help, but that’s OK. I have never had issues here. No complaints

I’d love to give five stars because I feel like the management really cares about the customers and are really friendly. But there are a couple of checkers that don’t even say hello. And twice now an item or two has been left behind by the bagger.

Well I was thinking to myself today, I can’t believe I got some great deals at Von’s. The reason for this review is because I’ve been pigging out lately eating whatever I wanted. I than realized that I need to discipline myself before it’s too late and gain a lot of weight! So I set off to Von’s to try and find some healthy food. I actually haven’t been to Von’s in awhile and was pleasantly surprised that they had a great variety of healthy low calorie meals. What was more surprising good prices! For $ 2.50 a piece I got 4 different variety of package salads. They were all good! Not like in the past with terrible salad dressing etc. I got the Safeway farms brand chopped kale salad 2 varieties. Along with organic packaged beets and Von’s own variety of frozen dinners. They have low carb Gluten free kinds etc. I still have to test them out I only tried one that was the pot pie low carb one which was ok. I prefer Weight Watchers Smart ones The Santa Fe Rice & Beans is excellent for 300 calories. I cheated and actually bought that one at Target for $ 1.98. So for less than $ 5 I had a dinner that was fast cheap and tasted good. More importantly I didn’t feel deprived!

Maybe I’m just lucky, but I haven’t had a single expired item from this location and I’ve had nothing but GOOD customer service. I’m always greeted with a smile and usually pleasant check-out banter. My only complaint is the lines… there are always LINES at this store.

I went into the deli to get some lunch meat and this nice young man named Sonny was very helpful in suggesting a nice horseradish cheese to compliment the roast beef I purchased. I’ll be back for more.

I love vons but a manager there, short lady with short dark hair, was completely rude and provided terrible customer service to me while I was shopping after my shift at work. The cashier was great and helped me a lot but the manager had a smirky demeanor and dismissed helping me because I’m a younger customer. I enjoy vons but don’t look forward to my shopping experience since meeting her.

Lot’s of expired dates on their items especially dairy. They repackage and re-date expired, stale bakery items. Most expensive market in town. Their produce is terrible. Indifferent employees seem defeated. All the signs of a store going out of business. Ralphs over all better in every way. Hell, even WalMart has Vons beat and that’s as bad as it gets.

Watch out for this crap store. For years now I have to check all expiration dates on the items they sell. They LOVE to keep stuff on shelves that have long expired hoping you don’t see the dates. It’s really sad. Again today, my wife bought be some candy that I absolutely love. Yup, expired. Found this on soups, cereals, and on and on. Absolutely ridiculous. Today is 9÷13÷14. See the attached picture of the candy that was purchased today.

Lately the evening cashier employees are too busy talking about personal or work issues while taking care of customers. It seems that no one cares anymore about customer service which was great before.

This review is for the Von’s off erringer. I have had two recent issues with meat I purchased at this location. The first issue was for organic chicken breast I purchased. It looked ok and showed no signs of being spoiled when in the package. However, once I opened the chicken package the smell was overwhelmingly bad. I immediately tossed the chicken out. The next issue was with purchasing expired horned pork tenderloin. When I say expired I mean. I bought it the 15th of March but the package indicated it expired the 3rd of March. I normally am good about checking dates but was in a hurry. They need to follow up on their FIFO process or someone who doesn’t notice or know better is going to get very sick.

This store is getting so bad it’s rubbing off on the employees attitudes. Went to Von’s the other day and as I put my food on the belt I said hello to the cashier only to be completely ignored, then as he is scanning my food he still completely ignores me(never even made eye contact with me) and starts talking with the cashier behind him… WTF!!! The kicker is when he handed me the receipt he ACTUALLY said thank you and have a nice day… Really dude !! Too little too late. Time to find a different supermarket, maybe one that has employees trained in customer service !

Its Vons. Like every Vons, this place is stocked isle after isle with products that are useful and purposeful. Some of the stuff they call food, I question. But they do a good job of training their staff to be friendly and courteous to their customers. If you ask where something is at Vons, they WALK you to it. In the big chain stores that sell the same things, service matters. I only wish Vons would give me more options; as a whole-foodist, I’m enjoying the continued growth of organics, but need this to be larger than it is at Vons. I used to be able to buy Soy Ice Cream, now, no dice.
