(NOWHALLOWEENCITY) Love when this place opens up around Sept 15th every year! Their prices are ALWAYS way better than Spirit Halloween, which to me, is overpriced and overrated. I’ve been getting my Halloween decorations here for the past two years and I love the great selection. They always have sales on gravestones and cauldrons so never pay full price for those!!! Always go early to pick up any glow in the dark spider webbing because that is always the first thing to go every season. I’ve never gotten a costume from here, but their selection seems pretty big, although they could have more variety in the plus sizes. I DONOT buy dishes(black and orange paper plates, plastic cups, eating ware etc.) from here because it is the one thing that is overpriced. Head to Target for those. 50% off almost everything right after Halloween, so stock up if you can.

If you can’t find what you’re looking for at Sprit, Halloween USA is the next best place to look around. Lots of outdoor and indoor decorations as well as party favors and of course, costumes. They have a decent selection but nothing insanely out of the ordinary that you can’t find at Spirit, at least. They do NOT carry Scarecrow fangs but they did have the refill kits at this store(and were sold out of them). No discounts that I was aware of and that leaves Halloween USA at a disadvantage. But that doesn’t mean they won’t be sold out of costumes the night before Halloween!

While it’s great that there is another Halloween store in this plaza, I can’t get past the fact that this store smells funny. The only advantage is that Halloween USA and Spirit now compete directly against each other, so prices seem to be a little better

Located at Village Crossing next to Michael’s at the site of the now-defunct CompUSA, this is a really cool seasonal Halloween store with lots of space and a very friendly staff. There’s also a Spirit store in the same mall at the site of My Child’s Room, so don’t confuse the two. We came in on a Saturday afternoon to check out the costumes and decorations. It didn’t take long for me to realize my Stunt Baby is terrified of anything in costume or the assorted animated figures placed throughout the store. We call them«Freaks.» He began to scream«No Freak! No Freak!» However, my 5 year old was excited to see this place. He liked running under the hanging ghosts or succumb to the legs of a giant spider. There’s even a few Haunted House scenes set up around the perimeter of the store. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Though we mainly came in to look at the costumes and spooky stuff, the employees were dressed up and they even played with the kids while we explored. We didn’t make up our minds on anything, but I know we’ll be back to this place during Halloween season. The prices were pretty good on many of the items I saw and it was just a great vibe to go in here.
