Victor Lau, DDS

I have been going to Dr. Lau and Dr. Wang. They are amazing and very knowledgeable. Dr Lau made a plate for my dental implants and was extremely skilled and patient with the process. He welcomed my input and I now have a BEAUTIFUL smile. I highly recommend him. He was always so kind and caring as i had TMJ for all the visits and he was a perfectionist always working on the best fit and look. Great staff and great place! Dr Wang is really awesome, too.

I’ve gone to Dr Lau several times now. I have also seen Dr. Wang. Both Dr’s are very friendly and knowledgable. Myself and my family have had nothing but great experiences at the office! The hygienist Kim, does a great job and is very thorough! I would definitely recommend this office to others!

My family and I have been going to this location for the past few years and typically I’ve had a good experience. I’ve had both Victor Lau and Joan Wang work on my teeth in the past and neither had been terrible. However, I recently had a checkup and cleaning with a hygienist named Kim. I don’t know who taught her how to clean teeth but it was absolutely terrible. Luckily I have a strong pain tolerance but it literally felt like she was scraping my gums off. But that was not the worst part. Kim was aggravated before she even met with me. I had called 5 mins before my appointment because I could not find the room that the office was located, and it turns out I was in the wrong «tower.» I eventually made my way to the office 4 mins late, which is no reason to treat your clients like they are beneath you.
Kim looked annoyed to see me and had an attitude with me the entire time. She kept slamming her instruments back on the tray, like a child being forced to do something she didn’t want to do. She kept sighing in frustration the whole time. Again, great way to treat your clients. But even that I would have tolerated if she had done a decent cleaning. She did a pathetic job of a polishing in the middle of my cleaning and at the end of it, she says «Time for a polishing. Oh wait, I already did that.» And that was it. Not to mention that during the 10 second polishing, she kept dropping bits of the paste on my face because she was running through it so quickly.
Dr. Herb Rosenstein saw me afterwards and just told me that I needed to clean my teeth more often. Then he was gone. Kim says, «you’re all done» and just waits for me to leave. The entire service was sloppy, and I was given the impression that I was a waste of their time.
In the future, I would avoid both the hygenist Kim and Dr. Rosenstein. I hope to find a different dentist that didn’t hire people who seemed to hate their jobs and act like they are being paid to do you a favor. I will get my dental work elsewhere.

I’ve gone to Dr. Lau now a handful of times. He is always so precise and patient. I love his work ethic. He does a very good job. I’ve never once been scared that it is going to hurt. He has never tried to convince me I need work done that I really don’t need. Overall a very good dentist.
The receptionists at the office are not very professional. They can be kind of short and snotty. I just try to kill them with kindness…

Nice, convenient office location (I saw him in his Skokie location). Usually runs on time. I saw him when he first started, picked him randomly from a list provided by my insurance company, and I never regretted it! Unfortunately, his practice grew to where he dropped my insurance. :(Now I see just how good I had it! He also NEVER tried to convince me to get unnecessary work done.
