When reviewing a national chain, it’s important to explain what makes a certain location different. Sure this location is a giant warehouse style store containing nearly every home improvement item you could imagine, but in other ways, it’s unique. I stumbled upon this Home Depot while driving back from shooting. I needed a chimney starter, some smoking wood and an electric charcoal starter. I figured I may as well stop here since it was on my route, but I had a slight dilemma. I was still dressed for the woods meaning my jeans were tucked in to my less than stylish black rubber boots. Everyone knows that Home Depot is not a place you want to be under dressed, so I was worried the locals may judge me. Well let me tell you, no one even have me a second look. I was highly impressed. My items were easy to find, and fairly priced. When I went to check out I realized this location had less check out stations than a traditional Home Depot. It seemed they had focused on self checkout stations rather than staffed checkouts. In theory this should have meant speedier checkout, but in reality it was not. Apparently the visitors to this location aren’t judgemental of fashion faux pas, but they are incapable operating a self check out. Once I realized this I headed to an actual person who was quite friendly. I hope this review helps you make a decision of where to go when you’re less than fashionable.

It’s a Home Depot. They have self checkout. The paint people are good at mixing colors. The workers are nice and helpful. They rent useful tools. You could build an entire house with the stuff from this store. They also give better advice on flooring matters than the people at Lowes.
