I’ve been hearing about Del Taco for a long time and wanting to try it out — however very rarely in Cobb county or near this place. It finally happened and all I can say is… pretty forgettable. The set up is similar to a taco bell. The food appears to be fresher. We tried about 5 different things off the menu and each one was only okay. The fish taco had a corn tortilla — which I don’t like — so that was a throw away. The quesadilla and chicken burrito were our favorite two things, but not spectacular in their own. I’ll take taco bell any day.

I’m super picky and hate Taco Bell so to hear it’s a better version of Taco Bell peeked my interest. Omg those crispy beef tacos had me in heaven. I couldn’t believe price for two tacos combined was like $ 1.38. I can’t wait to come back I’m getting a half a dozen next time.

Just ordered their Bacon Avocado Chicken salad… its made with iceberg lettuce which is the cheapest lettuce to used to make a salad. For 5.49 can I at least get some romaine. Disgusted I even bothered to stop here. Lunch sucks.

Friend was in the mood for something quick. This was literally right in front of us as we drove around on NYD. Ordered 6 items, 2 burritos, 3 tacos and 1 something else. Though the lady at the drive thru read it back to me correctly, that was not what was in the bag. We were charged for food we didn’t receive but only noticed after we drove off of course. Definitely a far cry from good Tex-Mex. Not sure what cuisine this is supposed to mimic. Lesson learned… Very nice staff though. I first saw this chain in Vegas. Hope more of Vegas comes to ATL.

Not sure if «Alright ma’am, hold it down!» constitutes as great customer service, but I’ll take that. I think I just frequent this place more than others do lol. They have $ 1 large freshly brewed sweet teas, cheap tacos and decent nachos and cheese. The have a large selection of food options — from burgers to fish tacos to ground turkey. You cant find ground turkey at any fast food place. I wish more places had that option. I usually order the bean & cheese burrito and a side of nachos and cheese. Not crazy about the cheese but it works. I’ve had the fish tacos and the shrimp tacos once. I wasn’t that impressed so I never ordered them again. The bean, rice & cheese burrito is just ok. I think I’ll just stick with the turkey burrito with beans cheese, sour cream, lettuce and pico if I want a heavy lunch — cuz boy is it heavy; and the bean and cheese burrito when I want something on the lighter side.

Eh… I’ve had Del Taco plenty of times in California and it was good! I don’t know what’s going on with these in Georgia. I had the Green Chlie Chicken Avocado bowl. In Cali… I tear this bowl up… in GA… I could barely get through it. And I think I have figured out the problem… The chicken. Yes, something is different about it… it’s strange looking & the taste is odd. The customer service was great… almost too friendly with the manager calling the customers(including me) «baby» and«beautiful’. It’s flattering, yes, but I’ll pass. I’ll only eat Del Taco in California from now on~

The lady in the check out line with the red hair needs to learn how to respond when the customer says thank you. Why even wait for the customer to say thank you. That should be something that should come out your mouth when someone spends money at your establishment.

This was my first visit to a Del Taco. I definitely plan on going back and trying more items. They serve fries with their taco and burrito combos, which is the oddest thing! I’ve never seen that before. Not that it’s bad or anything. The fries were quite tasty. While the taco seasoning isn’t as distinct as whatever Taco Bell, the food seems to be of better quality. Their cheese definitely seems better! Also, the staff was very pleasant. If you frequent Taco Bell, I don’t think you’d be disappointed coming here. Give them a try.

Del Taco should change their slogan to «We’re the much better version of Taco Bell.» Because they are. I love Del Taco and whenever I’m near one I have to have it at least once. Seriously. Sober or drunk, I prefer this to Taco Bell hands down. Better cheese, better meat, better beans, better pricing. Shoot, I ordered 2 value tacos, a couple orders of nachos, and a bean burrito for $ 4!!! Same size as taco bell but better quality. I’m not really sure what else to say here except I would rather eat at a real Mexican restaurant but sometimes funds and time are against me. This does in a pinch for sure.

Not a fan of this place — maybe I just had a bad time to be a customer. Everything tasted old. With Taco Bell across the street… I made a bad choice that night. Like I said, it could have been an off night for them. But will choose Taco Bell next time

Coming up the side street to turn into the parking lot, isn’t the greatest. The drive through entrance is right there and you have to make a sharp turn. So if you have a large vehicle, it won’t work. You’ll have to drive all the way around the parking lot just to come back to the drive through. Enough of my rant. The only thing I have to say is, you must get the cheese cake Rolls a.k.a. bites that they call them. Those things are amazing! They’re warm and taste just like cheesecake! I really don’t like getting tacos from here, because they wrap them in tinfoil which makes the shell or softshell taco get all that condensation and makes it kind of soggy. So it’s better to eat inside of there rather than going through the drive-through and taking them home. Or you can just eat in your vehicle in the parking lot. That always saves it too.

If you know me, you know I love Del Taco. I come from where Del Taco originated and well, we don’t have any here in Chattanooga. Whenever I go to Atlanta, I must make a Del Taco stop. I buy several bean & cheese burritos and take them home and freeze them. They help me out when I have a DT craving. My favorite thing to get though, is a Del Combo Burrito. Meaty, beany, cheesey with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, etc. It’s ‘da bomb! This Del Taco is small but clean and the staff were very friendly. It’s not too far off Hwy 75 and easy to get to.

1st time at Del Taco… This was pretty solid food for the price. I got $ 3 classic tacos, a cheese quasedila(sp?) and a medium drink for $ 5(after $ 1 coupon). The tacos were 5 stars, much better then Taco Bell anyday. You could actually tell that the ingredients were fresh. The cheese quasedia was 2 stars. just ok. I’m not a fan of huge fan of quesadias in general so its reflected in the rating. The cheese seemed too fresh for my pallet, I guess thats on me from eating taco bell for so many years. I just prefer theirs better. – Taco Bells gets 3.5 stars fyi. Medium Mr. Pibb… Always 5 stars :) All in all, I would return as it did hit the spot but be warned… take my advice. Clear your schedule for the next hour after consumption. you know where your gonna be at…

Ordinarily, I wouldn’t write a review for a fast food franchise, but I find it necessary to declare that Del Taco is «the other better» Taco Bell. I was heading to a friend’s game night which was BYOB and BYOF(what kind of friend tells you to bring your own food??). We didn’t want to bring pizza like everybody else, so my boyfriend had the brilliant idea of stopping by Del Taco. We ordered two Fiesta Packs! Do you know how much food that is? Each pack has 6 tacos(choice of hard shell or soft tortilla) and 6 bean/cheese burritos. That was plenty of food and all for about $ 20. Granted, it’s probably not the highest quality of ingredients, but it was about as fresh as it could be and everything tasted much better than Taco Hell’s. Obviously it’s not authentic, but when you want convenience and something original besides pizza or wings, grab a Fiesta Pack. Doesn’t matter what time of the day. The drive thru is open 24 hours.

This was everything I thought it would be and more. But let me be very clear-this is not road trip or date night food. You will be in the bathroom shortly after eating these tacos and whatever seasoning they use creates hot funk in the mouth. That being said the beef taco was bigger than Taco Bells and had better cheese and the grilled chicken taco definitely surpassed Taco Bells version… and was cheaper I think. Yay! This is «one those nights» types of food places reserved for late nights when you want to fill your belly for the low. I can’t wait to try the carne Asada tacos. And get mints and Rolaids for after

I’ve not eaten at a Del Taco before, so when the guys suggested it I expected different. It’s a bit like Taco Bell with the infinite combination of protein with veggies but it’s a step above in terms of taste and comfort. I also liked the salsa bar, which wasn’t quite like a Moe’s but it’s a nice try. Tables were cleaned regularly and people are expected to bus their own trash. The entrance to the parking lot is strange so that they can accommodate the drive-through. You have to enter from the side street at the right.
