To any restaurant that we visit first I check for the taste of the food. I don’t care where the restaurant is located or how it looks outside. If the food tastes so good I am in. This is one of those places. When I first visited this place the restaurant looked shady to be Frank. But anyway we ordered a take out and when I tastes their food it was really really good. There is not very much people who sits and eats here. But I see many take outs going on. To summarize I think this is best Chinese food for take out. By the way the service is fast

Had lunch yesterday of Szcehuan Shrimp and Kung Pao Shrimp. Shrimp were fresh and big. Food was delicious and a great value. Party of three had lunch including soup, spring roll, crab Rangoon, rice, and entrée for total of $ 22.00 including tip. Service with a smile. I have eaten here about 4 times a year for the last ten years and it has always been consistently good. Quick service with a smile. Shopping center is a little rough, but I am pretty sure the low overhead helps keep lunch below six bucks. Restaurant was clean and well kept.

My girlfriend and I frequently visit this location, and so far, we’ve received excellent service as well as delicious food each and every time. That said, we easily consider this place to be our favorite Chinese restaurant. I’m a sucker for General Tso’s chicken, so that’s my «go to» dish of choice here, and so far I haven’t been disappointed. It’s prepared the way it should always be, coated with the perfect amount of sauce, with a nice balance of sugar and spice throughout, with a crispy texture. Love it. I’ve also had the opportunity of trying the Chicken with vegetables(my girlfriends favorite) and that too was surprisingly delicious. With reasonable prices, excellent service and delicious food, we’ll always come back to King Spring.

Portions are very large, but it is your typical American Chinese food. Always quiet and service is great. Seems to be run by a family. Menu is very large, but many dishes are very similar. If you need cheap sketchy Chinese take out in a hurry, this is the place for you.

PuPu Platter was Cheap Crab Rangoon, fatty spare ribs, flavorless mystery meat and soggy from the wet lettuce. Soup reminded me of dirty dish water. Below grade food… overpriced.

Always seems very fresh to me and undeniably EXCELLENT value. One tip — order your soup before the rest of lunch. Eat the soup. Then order your entrée. Otherwise expect to be just four spoonfuls into the soup when the rest arrives. The somewhat odd owner/waitress needs to chill. And smile. I suspect she’s a sweet person somewhere under that forceful, unintentionally pushy demeanor. She’s not alone though. Perhaps there needs to be a(mental) health code pamphlet all Chinese restaurant owner be required to read entitled: «How to talk to white guys without making them feel like they are doing something wrong.»

Very disgusting. I ordered chicken lo mein combo it was cold greasy and under seasoned! I will never go there again! They were very friendly and nice if only the good was as good as the customer service :(

I have given this Restaurant several chances due to the very first time, the food was prepared well; The Eggdrop Soup was decent, which inspired my continued Support, today was my last time dining with this restaurant. My number one Compliant is consistency is not a strong factor, like playing the lotto with this food quality.

Fantastic every time I have eaten here. Food is fresh and tasty. The staff is friendly and makes sure you are taken care of. No waiting time at lunch or dinner. Give it a try for yourself! I think you will be happy!

I just called and tried to order some food for me and several friends. The person answering the phone was rude and kept trying to hurry me up and finish my order. I explained that I was trying to place a long, intense order. She kept saying«Cash or card?» I explained that I wasn’t finished with my order and would like to order more. I asked if they had any pad thai or anything similar to it as my sister had a craving for pad thai. The woman on the phone sighed as if very upset and said«Sir, this is a Chinese Restaurant, not a Thai restaurant.» I apologized and asked her to recommend her favorite dish. She said everyone is different and she didn’t have a favorite dish and didn’t know. I said thank you and finished my order. All I wanted was a recommendation for something delicious and I received an attitude. We will not order from this business again.

Your standard mediocre American Chinese food. Nothing much else can be said except wings and fried items are surprisingly not drenched in grease or fry oil. Consistency seems to be a major problem here. Meat quality goes from grade D to grade B depending on the day and order.

In case you’ve noticed a trend, I’ve been spending a lot of time up in the Smyrna/Marietta area lately, so my new reviews are largely based here. Anyhoo… Yet another favorite delivery spot among my Cobb County friends, and we’ve ordered from King & Spring several times lately. Good stuff, and pretty quick delivery — usually under their quoted time. I’ve had my staples, the wonton soup(YUM, and the wontons are huge) and steamed chicken with all GREEN veggies(and they got that part right, which for some reason seems to be too«hard» for a lot of places to remember even though I am VERY specific when I order.. .) as well as sampled the chicken curry(really tasty with a mild flavor and veggies and rice to go with) and the Mongolian Beef(solid version of a basic Chinese dish). A-OK choice(and good prices) when you’re over this way.

We have only ordered take out and were initially pleased. For some reason they either changed their sesame chicken recipe or use old oil or something, but after the third time of just plain nasty chicken, we won’t got back. I feel bad for writing a bad review, maybe other items are good that we haven’t tried, but if you go I do NOT recommend the sesame chicken!

The shopping center is a bit drab, but the food here is awesome. I tried the crab ragoon, chicken lo mein, fried chicken wing, and general tso’s chicken and it was all really good. Good Chinese is hard to find, but after being here I won’t have to look any further!

King Springs Chinese Restaurant offers the quality of food you’d expect from a Chinese restaurant that caters largely to take-out and delivery. The food is affordable yet hit-and-miss depending on the day and the dish. I’ve never been blown away by the food, but the service is great! They take exceptionally good care of their regulars. If you’re ordering more than 1 meal, grab one of their take-out menus(located outside the entrance) and use the coupons inside it… hint hint! They appear to be a family owned eatery, and the employee’s are polite, friendly and very efficient. I found it disappointing that their menu(the take-out version) has no descriptions of items other than for«chef specialties», but that’s easily remedied if you ask questions. I think they’re are MSG free, if this is a concern, just confirm. The sauces should be more intense and plentiful as a standard, some of the soups could stand being souped-up, rice is mediocre(so keep your soy sauce handy.) In My opinion there’s not enough meat in some of their dishes… the veggies ratio-assault the meats. Anything you order will at least be «good enough» and some are fantastic! To Try: — Fans of Sweet N Sour chicken looking for a new twist ought to try their Almond fried chicken, the sauce is creamy, and nutty and so delish… if you’re a sauce lover order an extra side of it! — King Spring Chicken is so very tasty and just a bit spicy, can’t wait to order again. — Their Kung Pao chicken is one of their more flavorful dishes it’s lick-the-plate-good, and unlike most restaurants… you’ll actually taste the peanuts. –General Tso’s chicken is pretty good, yet is no better nor worse than other places. — Their Lo Mein is usually decent, and I learned the that excess portions keep well in the fridge. — Shrimp dishes have fresh, tender shrimp but didn’t quite make the cut in the flavor department… with the exception of Golden Crispy Shrimp, which is an interesting dish. — Skip Mongolian and Teriyaki beef, they leave much to be desired. While they are not«bad», they won’t leave you leave you with a positive impression. King Spring has a comfortable, quiet little dining room with about a dozen tables. I’ve never seen less than 1 party dining here, yet no more than 4. This is unfortunate, because the dine-in experience here IS better than grabbing your order to go. Lunch combination plates start at $ 4.95(prices vary slightly) include entrée, fried(or steamed) rice, a cream cheese crab angle and a vegetable spring roll. I strongly recommend eating the angle and roll first… once they get cold, they lose appeal. The portions are satisfying. Dinner combination plates start at $ 6.95 and include fried/steamed rice, egg roll and a chicken wing. My advise: do not judge their wings just by the wing included with your combo meal. In summary: ask them to include extra heavy sauce in whichever dish you order, try the Hot and sour soup or sizzling rice soup instead of their lackluster eggdrop, remember to utilize the coupon available on the take-out menu, and skip the mongolian and teriyaki dishes. Consider dining in instead of take-out for a relaxing experience, and yes they deliver. Oh, and don’t forget to ask for chopsticks… you silly Americans! :-)

Great service and fast delivery but my order didn’t appear to be fresh. The taste was better than expected — if it were hot and fresh the experience would have been perfect. Based on the service I’ll try them again another day. Update — I tried this place today for the second time and it was worst than the first time. In addition to not having a positive service experience(the woman that took my order was rude) but when our food arrived there was a HAIR in the breading of my chicken. When I called back to the restaurant and told her what happened she had the nerve to ask if I was sure it was hair??? She never apologized and when I insisted on getting a refund she was even nastier and demanded I give the chicken to the driver. I told her I was glad to seeing as though I had no intention of eating chicken cooked with hair. Never again!

Lesson Today: NEVER judge a book by it’s cover! Yes, the shopping plaza looks a little lackluster. But the best part is WHAT’S INSIDE! BESTCHINESE I HAVEHADINOVER7 years! Like seriously. I judge my Chinese on Freshness, Quality of Ingredients and Taste. This one KNOCKSITOUTOFTHEPARK! I had the Triple Delight and the Egg Foo Young. The Egg Foo Young was the best I have ever had… EVER! So good my Mom grabbed the leftovers from me the next day and she rarely eats left over take out. The beauty of their food is… they don’t skimp! Ex: You know how you get Shrimp Egg Foo Young and they give you the baby shrimp? NOTHERE! BIGSHRIMP! The Triple Delight… BIG Fresh Brocolli TENDER Meats… and FLAVOR! The inside… immaculate. I’m talking sparkling. This would actually be a cute«lil weekday date night place»… and the prices were GREAT! This IS my GOTO Chinese Spot! I have been looking for you… a shame it took me 7 years.

OK– The locals are gonna hate me for Unilocaling about this place. But honestly, I don’t want them to go out of business so… if you’re looking for Chinese food in Smyrna, try King Spring Chinese. With a brother who is a chef and a mom who is a biology teacher… I got a few«issues» with cleanliness and restaurants. Whole in the wall places sometimes make me a little hinky. That said… I gotta tell you after a few bad experiences at local Chinese places, I love King Springs Chinese. It is clean. as in sparkling, speedy, and the staff are very nice. They have a small dine-in area. I have not tried it but there are usually always one or two couples dining. I always get take out. You can walk in and get food in just a few minutes. Or you can call on your way and the food will usually be ready when you get there. I’m glad to finally have found a take out place to give me a night off from dinner prep.
