This place is great!!! My mom took me and my husband and we had a blast. Our sever was very friendly young man and the hostess were very good as well. We ordered martinis margaritas for our drinks which where awesome!!! Our food came with soup and salad which was a pleasant surprise. The sauce that comes on the salad is called YUMYUM sauce and its very good(reminds me thousand island). I would recommended asking for the sauce on the side(it was a little too much dressing for me). For my main entrée I ordered the hibachi chicken plate!!! It was soooo much food !! There was at least 1 cup of rice ¾ cup of chicken and ¾ cup of vegetables. It was very tasty and came with a side of their famous Yum Yum sauce. During the brunch hours the chicken plate comes with a piece of shrimp this is not on the menu so beware if your allergic! The atmosphere is nice there are a few flat screens and a nice bar. I called this place the other day and they confirmed that they are open on Christmas day!!! I’ll be there Oh I think our servers name was Seth? He was awesome!

This place i very nice. The drinks are great especially with the five dollar price tag. The salad and soup were delicious. My boyfriend had the shrimp fried rice and was mot happy with it… His words«he has had better». i had the hibachi chicken which was just okay. The sauce/seasoning didn’t seem to add to the taste. Thank God for the ginger and yum yum sauce. I have to add that Sherry made the experience a great first one. She was very bubbly and informative of the menu. I definitely would go back again but maybe more so for lunch.

This place is awesome. They always have great service and for the price to amount of food you get is great. the hibachi is amazing and the sushi is always fresh. They are tucked away in the plaza by the Bicycle shop in Smyrna. A great local restaurant that offers amazing quality food.

Great service, great food — and plenty of it. Hubby and I each got the lunch Bento box with chicken. So much yumminess. starting with soup & salad, then the box had the grilled chicken on a bed of grilled onions, steamed rice, California roll, and a tempura shrimp with a variety of tempura veggies. We were stuffed, but enjoyed everything. Our server(Seth I believe) was very attentive without being annoying. We will definitely skip our local Japanese restaurant from now on and make the drive to this new favorite!

Had both lunch and dinner chicken hibachi here and good experience both times. White meat chicken chunks in good sauce. I love the soup starter really good. Huge portions and reasonable priced, they have lots of coupons around as well. Can get brown rice sub which I like. Ambiance is nice low key, service bit slow. Hope they make it in this location.

I’ve been to so many sushi restaurants and Most of them r good but not this one and I ate there just a few days ago, the food was awful, the chicken was too dry to bite and I’ve been waiting my food to be ready like forever, u know what make me upset was there r not busy at all and they still took so long time to prepare my food? so I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Their sister restaurant is Miyako in Austell. You know how I feel about that place. But I tried to have an open mind when I came here. The only difference is that their hibachi stuff is cooked in the kitchen, not in front of you. You can still order it, but you won’t see the show. If you wanna see the hibachi show, just go to Miyako a few miles away. They still have the same problems as Miyako though. I ordered the chicken and steak hibachi. The hibachi came with salad and soup. The soup was beef broth, not miso. It wasn’t bad, but it was very salty. Also, I’m wondering if they just used a bullion cube to make the soup. Their beef hibachi seemed boiled. It had little sear, even though it was cooked on the grill. I also asked for medium rare, but it came out medium well. Maybe they misheard me? The chicken wasn’t bad. That seemed to have more sear to them. I guess for the beef, they overused the sauce. So the beef got boiled in the sauce. The hibachi also came with grilled vegetables, which were fine, and 2 pieces of shrimp. I have to give it to them, the hibachi is a lot of food. You also get your choice of brown, white, and fried rice. The rice was decent. I mean, how can you screw up rice? I think this place is sub-par, like their sister restaurant. I could tell they used a ton of salt because i was thirsty for the rest of the night. I give it about 2.5 stars.

Was pretty decent sushi and the people with me that had the hibachi dishes raved abut the taste. Went in with low expectations and was pretty happy with the quality of the sashimi sushi platter that I ordered. Came with soup and a salad and both were very good quality.

Typical suburban sushi place. Nothing amazing, nothing bad. Prices were a little high for lunch. Nice size sashimi cuts, though. This is one of those«eh, if I’m in the area and craving sushi» places.

This place opened a few months ago in the old Twisted Taco location. I came here this evening with my family, and had a nice experience. This is the kind of place that will fit in well in Smyrna. Nice – but not at all bougie – and potentially kid friendly. SETTING: They have put quite some effort into renovations, with the personality of the new décor equally as strong as that of the décor of the late Twisted Taco. Lots of blue and purple tones augment the overhead lights. The large bar serves as a center piece of the dining room, while booths line the side. SERVICE: The staff was prompt and courteous. First they indulged us when we wanted to switch tables, then our food was out just a few minutes after our order was placed. FOOD: Between three people we ordered a shrimp gyoza app, chicken teriyaki bento box, and the«No Name Roll.» The bento box is quite large, with a soup and salad to start, with a side portion of fried rice, tempura, two shrimp gyoza, and 8 pieces of California rolls. All this in addition to a healthy portion of the chicken teriyaki. I didn’t try the chicken, but I heard it was«slightly on the dry side.» Everything else was quite good. I particularly enjoyed the fried rice – simply prepared with just fried egg, but I could have eaten a whole bowl of it. The«No Name Roll» off of the specialty rolls list was filling with crab and shrimp meat both in and on the roll, topped with the spicy mayo. Final Verdict: This restaurant wouldn’t be right for every neighborhood, but it is right for Smyrna. I hope they do well, seems like a good location, the food is good, and the menu is organized in such a way that you could sample a variety of different dishes without having to order everything a la carte and spending $ 40.

At first blush I thought the menu was a little pricey, but decided to stay because it was the only place open near the hotel. The server introduced herself and apologized in advance because she was new and the restaurant had only been open a short time. My wife and I along with the 2 adult kids shared crab ragoons, edamame, a double shrimp roll, and two steak teriyaki bento boxes. There was more than enough food. We ended up taking doggy bags back to the hotel Everything came out as ordered. The miso soup was great, and my wife raved about the salad dressing. The beef was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The customer service was great. My oldest child and my wife and I ordered adult beverages. When the server noticed I had barely touched my drink, and we were picking at the bento boxes offered to replace what ever we didn’t like. I had to explain it was so much food that we were all full. Seconds later the manager was at our table offering to take anything we didn’t like off our tab. I explained again it was so much food we were full, but mentioned the drink special was to sweet for my taste. She had the bartender remake it to my specifications, and removed it from my bill. For the customer service alone I would go back again

This is the former Twisted Taco location and I’ve been anxiously waiting for the new Tokyo to open. We gave it a couple of weeks to work out the kinks and had dinner last night. My husband and I really liked the décor. It is a colorful combination of modern lighting and traditional oriental sculptures, figures, etc. There are a few flat screen TVs for watching the game. The sushi bar is in the center of the room with seating around the outer left and right sides of the bar. We shared the Sushi Regular that came with soup and salad. Very fresh and tasty. It was displayed very artfully and I wished I had my phone/camera. We also shared the hibachi chicken with steamed rice & veggies. It was also good and a huge portion so we brought the leftovers home. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Enjoy! *** We’ve been back again recently and everything was just as great. The presentation of the sushi is so pretty; I took photos this time. We ordered Sushi Deluxe & Chicken/Steak Hibachi. We brought home enough hibachi to split for lunch the next day. Our server was very nice and helpful. Looks like business is good :)

Bless their hearts, part 2. This place just opened. I have no idea what it was before although it’s a great candidate to be a strip club what with the sparkly ceiling, clubby lights, and no windows. Wonder what happens here past midnight… Kidding, of course. I will say, service was good considering they just opened. Our waitress was a pro at being prompt and attentive. She was trying hard… maybe a bit too hard. «Do you know what miso soup is?» «Do you want more food, you only ate two rolls» «Have a blessed night.» A little off putting, but she was friendly so… I’ll probably stick to takeout if I come back. The sushi was pretty good. The miso soup(of which I am familiar) was actually well flavored and miso-y enough for my taste. My husband’s chicken terryaki was okay. The prices could’ve been a hair lower for the quality. And the décor was almost tough to look at/hilarious. The lights over the bar had an Eiffel Tower design in them. I’m not even sure how that makes sense? Ah well, you’re in the burbs. You can only set your expectations so high. If you’re looking to shake up your sushi/hibachi routine, check this place out.
