This is a pretty good place. It’s got that chain-free family owned appeal. The cheesy garlic knots and the Napolean pizza tasted fine, but I wasn’t overly impressed. In my opinion, the crust is thicker than traditional NYC pizzas(and not really seasoned, so it tasted kind of doughy) The sausage and ham/pineapple parts were my preference. The marinara was awesome! I wish they would’ve remembered my dipping sauce, but that was partially my fault for not speaking up. All in all, I’d go back to try something other than a pizza. Their menu covers a lot of quick Italian cuisines, so there’s plenty to choose from.

I really like this place. It’s a little hole in the wall, but very good. Authentic! Very good NY pizza. They have lunch specials. Pizza slice, salad, and drink. I thought it was pizza by the slice, but they have a full Italian menu. Pasta, calzones, and subs. The only thing I would say that’s not positive is the pasta and calzones are a but overpriced. Other than that all starts

Good pizza. Went in for lunch and they had good lunch prices. Large slices with a good amount of toppings. Greek salad also had a lot of feta on it.

One of the WORST dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. First, there was a children’s Bubble Guppies show playing LOUDLY. The whole time we ate, all we heard, over and over again, was«Come here Bubble Dog!» I couldn’t wait for the damn Bubble Dog to be found! Then when the show ended the child watching it screamed for it to be played again… Obviously the child of the woman working there. I ordered a Greek salad. It had obviously been prepped long ago and was served to me frozen. It consisted of a few tomato slices, what seemed to be a whole purple onion, half a green pepper, a few greek olives, and big chunks of frozen feta(? I think) cheeze. The best part was the vinegar that came in a little cup. It had not been shaken or stirred and was coagulated into slimy, strings and chunks. I actually dry heaved while trying to remove the snotty looking vinegar from my frozen salad.(Legitimately gagging right now at the memory) When I asked; I was brought a fresh salad. It wasn’t much better. And I also got another cup of vinegar snot… My son got a slice of cheese pizza. Hard to mess that up. He seemed to enjoy it. If you choose to eat here I’d stick to pizza… or go home and order Pizza Hut :/at least then you won’t be subjected to preschool TV shows. Very unimpressive.

I’ve never had a problem with this place. I enjoy their salads more. I tried there Veggie pizza for the first time. In my opinion, the cook was stingy on the veggies but everything from the dough and amount of tomatoes sauce was the perfect amount. Great old school music. They need to do better with sweeping the floors and cleaning tables. The waitress was awesome, very attaintive and friendly. I would have gave 5 stars but, need to clean better.

Our house is very close to Uncle Vito’s, but for some reason we had not been there for a really LONG time(couple years). We’d been spending our pizza money at other places(like Johnny’s and Italian Pie — both further from our house) because we thought they had better pizza than Vito’s. But about a month ago, we went back, because we were feeling lazy, and it was close… But something wonderful happened — we ate the pizza! Whoa! Is this an accident? Could this actually be better pizza than the other places??? Within the week, we tried Johnny’s and Italian Pie again, just to determine if their pizzas were better than Uncle Vito’s. To their credit, they are good; so we needed another trip to Vito’s to see if maybe the first visit was simply a fluke. No fluke! At my house, we’ve decided that Uncle Vito’s wins best pizza in our neighborhood! And since it is the closest pizza joint to our home, that means we win! Can’t wait to go back for another foldable slice!

I tried to order a pizza form this site. They put me on hold. Never came back to take the order. Called 5 times no answer. Finally they answered an wanted to put me on hold. Will not call them again. If you can’t handle the volume get another business. I have been doing business with this local business for years no more.

Over the last 10 years or so this place has been up and down. Lately it’s been up. The pizza has been hot, fresh and delicious. The service is good and the $.99 beers on Thursdays, I’ve cold. I hope that they can keep up the quality they have been producing over the last year or so. I’d hate to see this place go back down…

Came to uncle Vito’s to meet with friends. The Pizza we had was great last time I visited. The waitress rushed us to order. The unsweetened tea was extremely weak. The sprite we received had a film of grease or something and had to be replaced. We ordered a half veggie, half meatball. What we received was half pork. The waitress stated she got the order wrong. They quickly replaced the pork half with two large thin meatball slices. Happy and expecting the pizza to be taken off the bill; we ate, packed our remaining food, and awaited the final bill. Upon receipt, we noticed the pizza had not been removed from the bill. We asked the waitress why, and with no explanation, she deferred to the owner. When the owner arrived at the table, we asked why the pizza had not been removed from the bill as a professional courtesy. Her explanation was that the large slices of meatball pizza was sufficient compensation for the mistake. She also stated that she did not charge for those large slices, and that we should be satisfied. Disturbed, I asked why she would think that her righting the situation and not charging us would be sufficient compensation. Her reply to me was, «I know you want something for free…»!. At that point, I became very perturbed. Stating my case with is much vigor and anger as I could, but still remaining as professional as I could, I corrected in unprofessionalism and gross accusation. Her response: «alright alright, I’ll fix it». She proceeded by snatching the bill from the hands of my friend, and stormed off. Expecting to have the wrong finally corrected; we reviewed the bill and saw that only five dollars had been removed! I can only feel that her reaction to us was a bit prejudice, and unprofessional. I would not normally use the P word, had it not been for her statement«I know you want something for free» I will never eat there again! The establishment only received one star because I had to give it a rating. If we could rate with no stars, that would encompass my review!

We enjoy eating here for a good, solid pizza or calzone. Service is good and serving size is great. We usually start with garlic knots and add cheese — marinara is perfect. If you do eat in, be sure to stop by the front to let them know you’re there, they don’t have a hostess and the booths block the view of the front. We always have leftovers and I always like when a restaurant offers drinks to go as well.

It’s a mystery of pizza physics as to why the extra large is always so much better than the other sizes, even with identical toppings. «Go big or go home,» I say, even if it’s just for two. Especially at Uncle Vito’s, because ordering the XL takes a great pie and makes it greater. You know it’s going to be good when the word«foldable» appears in the description of the pizza, right there on the menu. I have been to Uncle Vito’s dozens of times. In fact, I’ve gone miles and miles out of the way when we needed a pie or four for a special occasion(like Christmas Eve). The extra large pizzas here are my favorite in the Atlanta area. I had the stromboli once(it was good, too), but it seems like a wasted visit if I don’t opt for pizza.(Kind of like ordering a Bud Light at Taco Mac — why are you even here, buddy?) My highest recommendation goes to the specialty pie called«Italian Deli»(sausage, ham, meatball and pepperoni). The meatballs are made in-house and they are perfect. Always opt for meatballs, even if you don’t get the Italian Deli. Heck, you should opt for meatballs even if you’re a vegetarian — these meatballs are that good. You can go back to black bean burgers and salads tomorrow. I have read via Unilocal that some people have experienced spotty service in the past but I think we’ve only witnessed that once or twice, and(although it was long ago) I attributed it to the server being too young and too snotty for a service job, not an endemic part of the restaurant’s culture. They’ve had a few bad hires, but not often(and overall the good hires are very, very good!) It’s a seriously good pizza pie. Try it. [My bride would like me to mention in closing that the Birch Beer Soda is yummy.]

Great service, really friendly girl at the front. Food was pretty good as well. Eggplant was a bit too thin. The roll was great. The food isn’t awesome but isn’t bad either, it’s pretty average — like Unilocal says«A-OK» 3.5 stars if I could :-)

I’ve never had a Sicilian slice before dining in here and I absolutely got that new York pizzeria feel. The slice was HUGE and was a good price. Don’t miss out on this hidden treasure!

After reading the reviews, I didn’t expect much, but I figured since we had a groupon, I could deal with it. After a strange explanation of the groupon from the server, I was really afraid, but it turned out to be okay. I am not a fan of people telling me what I can’t do rather than what I CAN do. It keeps it simple. We were greeted immediately upon approaching the counter and when we confirmed we were dining in, told to have a seat anywhere. Being a Wednesday, there were only few customers there. She came quickly and took our drink orders and came back without lagging until we finally ordered. Our salads came quickly… nothing to write home about, but the iceberg was crisp, the tomato wasn’t bad and the mushrooms were okay. The Balsamic was acceptable as well. The cheesebread was hot and fresh and the marinara was pretty good and there was plenty of it. Shortly thereafter our pizza arrived steaming hot. We got pepperoni and mushroom. The crust was crisp and overall the pizza was good! The server was pleasant, prompt and polite. The unsweetened tea wasn’t bad either!

The food is not good. No flavor, no Italian seasonings… just bland! They are slow at making food. We ordered take out and went to another store. Came back to pick up our food and it was not ready. Took over 30 minutes to get our order made. We only ordered a calzone and stromboli. I ate here a year ago and didn’t think it was great, but it was not this bland and slow for sure. I will not be back here. Not worth the money at all.

Loved the garlic knots! Amanda H. stole my line about having pizza that usually tastes differently by the slice than the same pizza by the tray. This one didn’t seem like a slice that was ordered that way. Did that make any sense whatsoever? Well it did to me… and prolly would to Amanda H. They lost a star for not allowing us to order at the counter. Pizza buy the slice shouldn’t warrant a waitress. The crust was a little too thin so it lost another star, but there was almost no grease dripping out of my folded happiness despite the fact that mine was topped with pepperoni! My bill was 6ish(2 slices w/a topping & soft drink).

Garlic knots rocked… but not so hard they knocked my socks off. I love it when pizza by the slice doesn’t taste different than it would have if I ordered a whole pie. My bill was only a little over $ 6, including tip. I give this place a double woot.
