Very friendly and helpful staff. Shop here when you need personalized attention and some advice or are looking for a hard to find specialty part. Be on the lookout for the store as can be a little hard to see from the street if you are heading north on 9. It’s tucked in next to the gas station and medical marijuana co-op.

Do you miss the days when you could walk into a hardware store and talk to someone who’d was familiar with DIY work, or was an expert on the product they were selling? Do you find yourself frustrated at the lowest common denominator of customer service at Lowes or The Home Depot? If so, Clearview True Value Hardware transports you back to a time when a hardware store was more about expertise, know-how, and assisting in getting the job done, and less about a giant store with 200 selections of light bulbs, levels and lumber that nobody on staff can differentiate. Merchandise Quality/Selection: It’s amazing what can be packed into a well organized store, and Clearview True Value Hardware is a perfect example of that. There’s plenty of hardware, shop tools, garden tools, large tools(axes/shovels/sledges), ladders, fuel, locks, paint/stain, and gloves/masks. I’ve demoed an entire 2500 square foot house and landscaped it with items out of this store. I’m not entirely sure I couldn’t have rebuilt it with items purchased here as well. I can tell you that those tools did some heavy lifting and have continued to hold up. We’re talking snow shovels, clippers, axes, prybars, sledgehammers, mallets, the whole nine yards. On top of the usual hardware store items, there are three things that make Clearview True Value a little unique – fantastic propane prices, readily available hay/feed/grain, and BBQ/grill set-up assembly service. Many people from Lake Stevens out to Mill Creek and Woodinville make the drive for simply the propane and/or feed. Ambiance & Service: The Gunns, who own the store have been in business for as long as I can remember, and their passion for the business shows. There’s a clear and obvious feeling of a entering a small/helpful community business here, which is the magic that happens when you’ve got people that care. That attitude extends to the rest of the staff, as I’ve personally bought stuff from probably everyone who’s worked there throughout the last few years. All of them seem knowledgeable, professional, and happy to be there. As mentioned above the store is well organized, and set up in a logical fashion with seasonal items up front(or outside) and a hardware section in the back. In between you’ll find aisles that are laid out in a format that lends itself well to the shopper. For example: Large tools are spaced out along the exterior walls for easy comparison. If you’ve got a task(or two) that you’re trying to accomplish, you’ll likely be able to grab what you need in one section. Final Thoughts: If you’re a 15+ minute drive from the Clearview area, sure, you might be better served going elsewhere for small items, or things you don’t need assistance on. For those tasks where you need a helpful hand, the drive out to Clearview is worth considering. For those living in the general vicinity of the store – well, you’re in luck, because you’ve got a local hardware store that will do what they can to make your«honey-do» list shrink a bit with the least amount of pain to your time, patience, and wallet. –AC

This place is great. People are old school type and very friendly. If you use propane this is the best place in town to buy it.
