This is the best place in Snohomish! They have a phenomenal beer list and their house Rivertown Brown is awesome. If I could eat the Halibut tacos every night, I would. Always a great atmosphere. It can get busy, but it’s worth the wait for a table.

I just have to say their gumbo is now a destination place for my husband and myself. Plus we have tried most of what Washington has to offer on the Ruben. We can now say Fred’s nailed it! The marble rye light sauerkraut was perfect! The waffle fries are so good and your already full but ya just have to have one more cause they are seasoned perfectly! Seal the deal with a Mac & Jack starter… Slurp. We will be back! Did I mention the good fast service?!

Glad to have been able to walk right in; finally no wait! Ordered the Halibut and chips like always, and it hit the spot! Service was great too! Recommend to all!

We have stopped in to Fred’s before and been satisfied with the service and food — but today, something was definitely not typical and not good. This would definitely be a generous 2 star review if we weren’t happy with our previous visits. Ordered the Cuban panini which was pretty blah in flavor. I asked the waiter to grill my sandwich with pickles — something I’ve found that makes Cubans spectacular. Instead, I had two skinny pickle slivers on the plate — but I’m not sure pickles could have save that Cuban. The chicken in my daughters panini was so tough, she didn’t want to finish it — seemed microwaved then grilled?. The crinkle fries were perfect though. The service today was definitely confusing. One server sat us down, another took our drink and food order but disappeared after bringing our food. Three different servers refilled drinks, took our plates and brought the check. I’m not sure if they will split the tip between the 4 of them? A usually good place that had a bad, bad day. We’ll try again — but my expectations will be a lot higher next time.

Stopped in for lunch with my niece after reading the menu outside, and we’re glad we did. It’s a clean, upscale dive bar atmosphere with cute decorations and great halibut & chips. The fish was very fresh, the waffle fries and tartar sauce were clearly homemade and perfectly fried. They have many other options from creative salads to pizza. They have a nice wine list and over 25 taps. I tried the Ibis Grapefruit IPA which is on world release here right now and absolutely loved it! The servers were attentive and polite also. No complaints and I would definitely stop back.

Wow. We had really high hopes and came into Fred’s really hungry with an even hungrier toddler. We received our drinks and my awesome barrel aged burbon ale right away. After that: nothing, after watching people get their food that came in after us and the same time, then finish their food and get their checks, we were getting concerned. Us asking our waiter what the hold up was only resulted in us getting the we are short handed today answer. Needless to say after an hour of waiting we left still hungry. Our first experience at Fred’s was not a positive one.

This place has really great food! You could tell by how busy it was which is probably why the service was pretty bad. I never got my ranch I asked for and we didn’t get napkins until we were practically finished. Also, don’t wear yourself even though the sign says to cause its really awkward when they tell you to not sit somewhere. But overall the food was the best part and they have a lot of great beer to choose from. I would come back to see if the service always sucks.

Went in for lunch to try out some of the unique sounding appetizers they had on the menu in the front window. I guess they don’t have those for lunch but since we already had drinks ordered we stayed. Had a chicken sandwich and husband had a burger. Food was good enough. Not great but not bad — I’d say okay. Wait staff was not busy(well maybe busy on the cell phone) but too busy to really be bothered with us. The bartender took over waiting on our table and thank goodness he did — we might still be there waiting for ketchup and our bill. Might go back to try some of the appetizers one day.

I really liked Fred’s, and the french dip with lobster bisque was surprisingly good considering I was reading these negative reviews earlier and fearing the worst. Everyone left happy with their meals and we had a LOT to bring home.

Worlds smallest chicken wings! I think they are from Cornish Game Hens! Malnourished ones! Ridiculous!

One of our fave local places. Husband loves the beer choices, I’m more about the food. I will order the apps for dinner. Asian Nachos, Jagger fries(my fave!) are worth the visit alone. Only set back I’ve had here is the splitting of the bill amongst our party. But I don’t sweat the small stuff when the food is this good.

First time here the halibut fish and chips were outstanding — not so tonight. Overcooked and thin. I prefer a thicker cut. Also, only two bites into my salad — and the fish and chips arrived!!! WTH! Give me a chance to enjoy my salad! Way too much help on duty — some looked like teeny boppers trolling up and down looking for a job to do.

Matt the server was outstanding. The cheap ass landlord needs to ad A/C. Great pizza.

Wow, pleasantly surprised. My GF decided it was her turn to take me out for date night. She looked online as we live in Snohomish and wanted to try somewhere new. Jamie found this place and I agreed to try it out. You have multiple people serving and checking on you. Not to mention the portions were good and EVERYTHING tasted amazing. I would recommend Fred’s to family, friends and strangers alike! You’ve earned new long term customers! Thanks.

We were hungry amidst our shopping afternoon and were drawn by the sign saying«great food, ales, and scotch whiskey.» I happen to love all of those! Since this was a quick power up, I enjoyed a single Fred’s Brown Ale, which was excellent, and split a Philly Steak sandwich with my wife. Wow — seriously tasty grub. I’ll be back, but next time for a whole sandwich and some of that scotch on the shelf!

This place has a whole bunch of beer choices. This place has a whole bunch of food choices. Get the lobster bisque, and a cold beer.(the lobster bisque is kinda spendy… and it doesn’t have any chunks of lobster, or chunks of anything) …but, it’s tasty!

Never again! We have been going to Fred’s for years and have always enjoyed the food and beers on tap. I have noticed that the service has been getting slower and slower, last night we went in and sat at a table by the bar and must have been invisible. We waited for about fifteen minutes and no one ever came to our table, the wait staff would look at us and just walk by. we left and will never be back!

Great location, great beer selection, marginal food .but. This was our 3rd time here … Our second time landing during a beer event only to experience the same poor customer service. If you aren’t a friend of one of the staff members then, don’t expect any type of quality service. The management is poorly lacking as they sit in the corner drinking with the beer reps vs. Helping staff and customers. We were out of drinks and water, we had to ask for raffle tickets(they were tossing them to everyone else like Mardi gras beads) oh well. Not many choices in this neck of the woods but, we will explore more.
