Wendy is amazing! She took a long time with me to fix my hair. She was kind and caring and fun to talk to! I will definitely be coming back and recommending my family and friends to her!

I am beyond impressed my experience at Red Strand today. I made a same-​day appointment, had awesome service, got one of the best haircuts of my life and the price for all that amazing-​ness was straight out of 1992 North Dakota. Okay, that’s a slight exaggeration, but after years of getting my hair cut in Seattle, I was surprised to get a «city quality» haircut for their low price. Cheryl, you were awesome and I wish I would’ve found you sooner!

This salon was very accommodating to a last minute wedding Bridal party that needed hair and makeup done for a Sunday wedding. The salon is not normally open on Sundays but after talking with the owner she made accommodations, 4 workers on hand, a small Sunday Fee but the salon was clean and private for the bridal party! Hot/​Iced Coffee, Mimosas and pastries were waiting when we arrived. The cost for hair & makeup is very reasonable. Everything was great; the only suggestion would be to have the employees do refresher classes throughout the year to keep up with the current hair & makeup trends.

I usually do not write reviews but I am love with how Wendy colored my hair! She is amazing! The whole staff is so sweet and very friendly! I felt at home! The prices are not bad at all! If you are looking for a place to transform your old hair to new, go here!

I’ve gotten my hair done here several times with different girls and it has been great. Getting my wedding updo done here was a different story though. The stylists were very friendly and accommodating, however, my trial hair appointment and my final updo ending up looking completely different, which is most frustrating because I had to pay for the trial appointment. Having the stylist fix my hair after seeing it in the mirror took an extra hour, which I was ok with, but the bride scheduled after me had to wait all that extra time too. Still, the final look was not what I had paid the stylist for earlier. My wedding updo fell out in the car ride back from the salon and I chose to fix it with bobby pins and hair spray at home; I didn’t want to spend my wedding day in an argument with the salon. My hair did receive a lot of compliments at my wedding and I didn’t dislike it, but it wasn’t what I planned, paid for, and had agreed on with my stylist. Please exercise caution if booking for your wedding day.

Just got my second haircut from Melanie. I showed her a photo of what I was hoping for, she said «I got it», and she did! It’s perfect. Melanie has been great and Red Strand is a clean and comfortable place with an easy book-​online option. Good prices, too!

I went in for an all over color and baylayage with Melanie. She was great! Very patient since I never know exactly what I want and super friendly. I always have a hard time finding a good hairstylist & I can definitely say I have found my stylist. She takes her time and isn’t rushing to get you out of her chair and makes sure to give you exactly what you want. Love her!

Stephanie is AMAZING! I would recommend her to anybody. I’ve had my hair done many places over the years, and she is by far the best stylist I’ve come across.

Melanie has been doing my hair for a few months now! She is fresh out of the Gene Juarez Academy, so her prices are really affordable for a full foil since she is considered a ‘junior’ at this salon. Melanie did a corrective color on me, as my past stylist only did my crown & not the back of my head for 6 months thinking I wouldn’t notice… It took 2 full foils to get all of my hair to be the correct color & she did amazing! She is very enjoyable to talk to while doing my hair & it’s clear that she loves what she does! I’ve even referred my mom here, who is a really tough person to bargain any kind of ‘change’ with, especially when it comes to her precious blond locks. She loved her color afterwards too! I will find before & after pics of my corrective color & post them! :)

Great salon! Variety of services including facials, besides haircuts, coloring etc. variety of products also. Erika does my hair and she is a master hairstylist, especially with color. Warm, friendly comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommend.

I have been going to The Red Strand (formerly Tom Walker’s) for forever! Conveniently located in Snohomish, the salon is our hometown best. Wendy foils and cuts my hair regularly. She’s never afraid to be adventurous and change it up at my request. In March 2013 the salon styled my daughter and her wedding parties hair. They did a fabulous job!

I’ve been seeing Wendy T. For cuts and color for years, she’s awesome! All the staff seems very nice and knowledgable and there’s always a nice selection of products to choose from. Love it there and I love Wendy T.

Cheryl is amazing at what she does! I have extremely thick corse hair that is not easy to color or style, however Cheryl always gets it right! This place is a hidden gem.

My teenage son has been going to Erika for years now. She is the only one he will allow to cut his hair! Friendly and kind, she listens to what he wants. Always looks great! Erika now owns the salon (Tom Walker is retiring) and has changed the name to Red Strand Salon, although its going by the old name also during transition. Better than ever! Worth a trip! Reasonable prices too.

Julia is awesome! She has been cutting and coloring my hair since highschool, and she’s willing to try everything, all my crazy requests. Everyone is nice at Tom Walker’s. Erica is awesome too, she colors my moms hair and it looks awesome.
