Happened upon this home brew store while wandering the streets of Snoqualmie. Amazing little shop with great prices, and friendly and knowledgable staff. They had some of the best pricing I’ve seen on honey, they feature a brew of the week where you can buy all the ingredients for a flat price, and they have other goodies like veggie fermenting books and vessels etc. I’ll go out of my way to come here in the future!

I stopped in here on a whim after getting a delicious beer at Snoqualimie Falls Brewery(Summer beer I’m lookin at you! So good.) and decided to check out the store for some materials for Kombucha making. The gentleman(I didn’t catch his name) directed me over to Natalie, who has made Kombucha before and she was incredibly helpful. Everyone was. Their prices were very reasonable for bottles, jars, etc. and I learned a lot about why some materials are better than others, what to avoid(i.e. metal), etc. The owners/employers here are very knowledgable, helpful, and overall cool people. If you’re interested in brewing some beer, Kombucha, cider or making your own wine, this is the place to go.

Mt Si is located literally next door to the Snoqualmie Falls Brewing. It’s a decent sized shop with everything your brewer’s heart might desire. The people running the shop help you fill your bags of grain, once you have decided on what you want; as well as pull your desired yeast from their fridge. It’s definitely less hands on than other shops; and if it were to be busy, this might be a pain. But the few times I have been in, this has not been a problem, and it keeps everything much more sanitary. Their stock is plentiful and their variety has also grown over the months I have been patronizing the joint. And I do love the fireplace in the corner. It’s an awesome touch, to an otherwise stripped-to-the-beams, warehouse feel. I gave them 4 stars because customer service is sublime, I’ve never had a problem with stock, and I like the location… but it’s a bit pricy. *However*, regardless of the price, I’m still going back, time and time again. :)
