Tried purchasing a groupon deal for this place. And it was 90 min massage for 50 $ and I called to set an appointment, she said we don’t have that I’m like have what, she was trying to say we are not offering groupon here. But I’m like I already bought it and she keeps insisting, I didn’t sign the papers for them to put that up. Hard understanding them as well. Very unprofessional and this was the owner of the place that I was talking to.

This place is so great, I just needed to write a review. As a water polo player, I was in desperate need of a sports massage. Naturally, I turned to Unilocal to find me a great place to relieve my sore muscles. I’d never had a Thai massage before, so I didn’t know what to expect. What I ended up getting was a relaxing yet deep massage that worked out about 95% of my knots. I felt surprisingly comfortable and relaxed as the owner of this little location stretched me and walked all over my back. The owner gave me a really special cup of fruit tea afterwards too! I will definitely be coming back.

I thought Sunet and her team could not possibly get better, and last weekend they took a course(I know they could have taught it) to learn more about body mechanics and healing techniques using acupressure and which muscles and joints to work on to offer the best possible treatment for your aches, pains and areas most in need. I went a week without their touch and am having a tough time walking. I have MS and they have changed my life with their method, knowledge and treatments. I could not recommend anything more than Siam Royal Thai Massage if you want to feel better short and long term. I am so grateful to have found these amazing ladies(and Alan too).

Sunet + her staff @ Siam Royal Thai Massage are amazing! My hubby + I love our couples’ thai massage there. 60-minutes of intense, deep tissue massage + thorough stretching = rejuvenated, happy muscles! Thx, Sunet! :)

Appointment was very easy to book, and the massage was everything I’d hoped for and more: a wonderful mix of deep tissue massage(going after points that really need attention) and gentle stretching. Thank you, Siam Royal Thai Massage! I will be back!

A great place, wonderful caring folks and very knowledgable. I am a retired Physician and disabled from long standing degenerative injuries. I found the treatments to be extremely helpful and I am impressed with the know how and knowledge of the the practitioners, particularly Sunet and Ying. I am feeling more movement and less pain than I have in years. They are extremely helpful and I plan to continue to see them on a very regular basis. I highly recommend Siam Solano Beach Thai Massage. Dr. Stephen Kit Taylor, D.C., N. M. D

Small place but Pookie was great! That was one of the best stretching and actually massage therapy work on my sore shoulder. Pookie knew it too and she concentrated on working it out. Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely visit this business again.

My first time getting a thai massage and it was great! My right shoulder had been throbbing for weeks, due to over worked and pulled muscle from constant use and same motion movement. And the girl who was working on me could tell right away, she said she would fix it for me. I was skeptical and nervous but allowed her to work on my shoulder. After my massage was over I instantly felt better, the next day I was sore all over but the following days my soreness went away and no shoulder pain! It was as good as new and hasn’t been causing any pain. This will be my new therapy every month. Thai massage uses more deep tissue methods. So it can be more painful then pleasant but your body will thank you later for it. One person described this as yoga for lazy people, which sums it up nicely. They pull and push your body, making you stretch in many positions. They rub you with a nice oil, maybe tiger balm? And give you tea after you are finished to sip on. I would recommend trying a thai massage once, especially if you are having any minor muscle pain.

My Thai massage here today was WONDERFUL. I’ve been here three times now as a treat with my mom and they never disappoint. The staff listen to your needs and you’ll leave your massage with a warm cup of tea and feeling calm, serene and renewed. Thank you!

No show on my massage! I asked for a groupon refund and they would not even let me talk to the manager. I live 20 minutes so this was very inconvenient after waiting 30 additional minutes for them to show up. And they never did. This happened in 2012BTW. I just came across my unused groupon and felt they deserved a Unilocal!Thank you Unilocal! These people suck.

Excellent massage and stretch. I had been to their other place in Old town but since I was in the area I gave them a call. Got the answering machine but didn’t leave a message. After a few minutes the owner called me back(caller ID) and got me an appointment right away. The experience was great if you know what to expect and like a rough massage that will work on your problem areas. There is a lot of stretching, walking on your entire body and using elbows to get rid of your knots. Everything is done on a mat that is in the floor. Will be back.

I have had mixed experiences here. Sometimes it’s great. One time I went and got terrible neck cramps, sciatic pain, and back pain that started immediately after my massage. Make sure you ask how experienced the person is. If they’re not experienced, go with a more gentle massage. You don’t want to end up like me… still hurting from the negative experience.

My BFF took me here for a birthday massage using our Groupon. At first the woman name Puki was nice, so we gave her the receipt from geoupon, she said it’s not the right receipt, she needed the the one with barcode and told us to comeback, you got to be kidding me, we drove at least an hour to get here, so I ask couldn’t you just go ahead and called Groupon since they already have the money, and no we have to do it ourself, so after 30 minutes of trying to get a hold of groupon, we finally got our massage and she deducted 20 minutes from our time, she could had made the phone call as a customer service while were getting our massage on time. This woman have no idea what customer service is, and she does not care if you ever come back, too bad the massage was good but terrible in customer service, it’s not worth the discount.

Update: I did finally go here. I had a decent Thai massage but it was rigorous and i am getting a bit too old for these, but it was definitely therapeutic. You must know what you’re getting in for if you go for Thai massage — it can be rigorous, like passive yoga but with some intensity if you have aches or arthritis, so be warned. If you’re up for it though, they really help break up adhesions and help with flexibility. Not entirely relaxing though. (Initial review i complained of not being able to get ahold of anyone even though I’d bought a ‘deal’.finally I did make a connection though.

Purchased a Groupon voucher valid for a 75-minute traditional Thai massage. Location in Old Town San Diego is easy to find. The place is clean and has that relaxing spa atmosphere. This was my first Thai massage. My therapist with Tara. I think she’s great. She found the right balance of soothing massage and having me cooperate in the stretches. As other people have stated, this is not your average massage. It can be intense if you’re not used to being stretched and contorted. After dressing, I was given a cup of tea. It was nice to not have to rush. I think I’ll go back occasionally. It was a good experience. I normally get a deep tissue massage once a month and I don’t know if a Thai massage can serve as a replacement. But it can certainly be a happy supplement every once in a while.

They took my lady and I in right away, after a very brief form to fill out. The rooms were very basic and close to others, but the massage made one forget about any worldy affairs. Very in-tune and talented people who actually try and help you rather than just give a basic massage. Plus, we only paid like $ 50 a person for an hour since it was our first time! I love how thai massage stretches you as well. We just came from multiple day hikes and our bodies were killing us, but afterwords we thought we were floating!

Today was my first Thai massage ever, and what an amazing experience! My 100 lb. therapist, Nan, was absolutely darling and unbelievably strong! I’ve had traditional massages(Swedish, Deep Tissue, Stone, etc.,) at some of the finest spots around, but this hidden Thai gem, located in charming Solana Beach – steps from the ocean – is definitely going to the top of my monthly personal allowance(next door is a tavern, so I added a fermented beverage, or two, to my splurge.). Note: take shoes off at the entrance. I didn’t know to do that, and felt like a silly«traveller» in my own back yard! Ha!(they were very sweet, of course…)

I am just someone who recently(via my gf’s encouragement) started to get professional massages. I am definitely a newbie, and this was my first Thai massage. I found out about this place via a Groupon. Location is easy to get to. There are two parking spots in a nearby lot that are reserved for this place, which were both empty when I arrived mid-Thursday afternoon. I had Palina as my Thai masseuse for the day. The massage was fantastic, and she made me feel right at home. A few interesting elements to the Thai massage that are different than other massages that I have received. One, there are these extreme stretches(about 4−5X during a session) which definitely contribute to the relaxation process interspersed with deep tissue massage. Second, was the use of tiger balm, which definitely has a unique smell, but feels like icy-hot on the back. To me, I grew up with the stuff, and it enhanced the experience(my gf said she would vomit if she smelled it). She also stepped on my back and cracked all my knuckles as well, which worked for me. At the end, she offered me a cup of hot tea, which was a soothing end to the experience. Overall a good experience and recommended. Would go back. It’s about 66 bones for 60 minutes. They also have a 15 dollar yearly membership fee, which takes it down about 10 dollars every time if you plan on doing this regularly.

This was fantastic! I got massages for my wife, daughter and myself. Sunet and her team offer an amazing massage experience! The change in how I/we felt was amazing. I wasn’t even aware of being tight in my back and neck but afterwards… I was energized. A friend described Thai massage as «Yoga for lazy people». They stretch, flex and press gently on the trigger points. Wear loose fitting gym type clothing or yoga clothes. I love that it is fully clothed yet a deep relaxing massage. I have had many Japanese, European and US alternative massages. I loved this best. As an active athlete, I’m always protective of my knees and ankles which are always sore. They were considerate of where I wanted them to be careful yet still did a great job. It changes your outlook and how you feel at less cost than a vacation to Thailand! Perfect… I’ll be going again soon with the holiday stress coming.
