Maureen is the best!!! I moved pretty far from Solana Beach (45 min drive), so I spent a great deal of time trying to find a stylist in my area and I have failed to find someone who’s skill matches Maureen’s. After a couple of hair mishaps, I am happy to say that it is definitely worth the drive to see Maureen! She recently did my hair and the cut and color were exactly what I was hoping for. I feel completely refreshed. Before I saw Maureen, I was hiding my hair behind thick headbands and messy buns, and now I wake up excited to style my hair again each morning! I recommend her to everyone! Thank you, Maureen!!!

Betsy is awesome. I don’t live here anymore, but when I visit I try to squeeze in an appointment.

Deena Pisano does my nails and she is Amazing! She is fun, easy to talk to, and a professional. She does the long lasting gel nails and has great colors. It is so nice to have your nails done in a nice environment as opposed to your typical nail salons.
I get my hair done by Kelli and she is AMAZING! I have been with her loyally for 5 years and I am picky. She is as good a colorist as she is a stylist. I always get compliments on my hair.
I only has a facial with Nicole once but it was great, highly recommend her!

I bought a living social deal that included a facial with a peel and microdermabrasion. At first I was unsure whether I would be able to make an appointment as Nicole only has weekday hours but she told me that she could take a 5pm appointment and it made it possible for me to make it.
The experience was great. Nicole was very nice and you could tell she really enjoys what she does. The room was nice and relaxing with calm music playing. The facial, peel, and microdermabrasion were wonderful. I had a peel previously at a different place where it ended up feeling like it was burning. That was not the case here. The peel was just enough to do its magic and not sting or burn. The microdermabrasion was great. I had never had it done before and I was thrilled with the results. My skin was glowing and it looked like I was 5 years younger (I still have smiles lines of course!). I would definitely come back to see Nicole again for the same service or any combination of facial services.

BETSY BETSY BETSY! This lady is A-​MAZ-​ING! I came to her a number of years ago after a different stylist had ROYALLY screwed up my color and my cut a couple months after giving birth to my first child. I was devastated. because not only did I have baby weight but now I had bad hair. Betsy came to my rescue and COMPLETELY transformed my color right away and over time as my hair grew back was able to tailor my cut perfectly back to what I wanted (I wish I had taken before and after pics). She listens and does EXACTLY what I ask. I am neurotic about my long hair and there are never any surprises when it comes to the amount she takes off (she takes off the exact amount I want). Recently, due to some medical issues with my body my hair has reacted funny to the color (no-​fault AT ALL of Betsy’s, completely due to what was going on with me). Betsy was patient, tolerant, and extremely accomadating when it came to getting it fixed. She never lost her composure, showed any frustration or anything. She was as pleasant as she always is. I would reco Betsy to ANYONE without hesitation. Not only that her new salon is updated, clean, bright and you get to enjoy wine while she works her magic. :)

Just had my first visit to Suit B Salon today and fell in love! This salon was instantly warm welcoming, CLEAN and delivered excellent service! I saw Nicole Howard for my glycolic Pumpkin peel facial plus microdermabrasion and could not be happier with the results. Already booked my next appointment! I highly recommend this salon!

I have been seeing Scott Molnar for almost 4 years now. I am so happy that he is now located at this super cute salon! He is the BEST! I was a blonde forever, and always had him do highlights and low-​lights. Most recently I have become a redhead! I can not tell you how many people think that I am a natural ginger! It looks amazing, and fits who I am. I am sooo happy he made this suggestion to me! I am always complimented on my hair. It’s wonderful! The recently renovated Suite B. Salon is a must. It has modern chic vibe and the owner Betsy Dernbach is an amazing person/​stylist with a talented group working at the salon. Crystal is a brow GODDESS! I live up in LA during the school year but come home to La Costa periodically throughout the year. When I do, getting my brows done by Crystal is ALWAYS a priority. I’ve been to a number of estheticians both in SD and LA and the plain truth is that there just isn’t anyone as good as Crystal! My sister now goes to her too and absolutely loves her as well. She has very full brows and having them shaped by Crystal has totally highlighted all of her natural beauty in a whole new way! If you’re looking for the flawless wax see Crystal. Her phenomenal waxing ability and sparkling personality make for nothing but the best experience. The salon is super cute and hip too! Wouldn’t go to anyone anywhere else!

Crystal is THE BEST waxer I have ever been too! She always cleans and shapes my brows perfectly, there has never been a time where I left unsatisfied. Amongst her exceptional waxing ability is her personality, she is so friendly and I always have great conversation with her while she perfects my brows. The atmosphere is always very clean and sanitary, and she offers water or wine when you first enter the room! I recommend this waxing salon to all my family and friends because of Crystal.

I don’t live in San Diego anymore but, when I go home to visit my family and friends I always book an appointment with Crystal to get my eyebrows done!
My eyebrows are fairly thin, and I always ask Crystal to keep them as thick as possible and she does a fabulous job!
Last time I was in town I tried out eyebrow tinting as well and it was awesome! I didn’t have to fill them in for weeks.
Crystal’s the best! Super sweet and always does a great job. I trust no one else with my grooming needs!

I moved to San Diego a couple of years ago and have been struggling to find a fabulous salon and stylist. I don’t have to look anymore. I recently visited Suite B salon. I loved it! It’s not only adorable… it’s a very relaxed and a veryfriendly environment.
Betsy is my stylist… she did a fabulous job on my new summer highlights and cut. I would recommend her and the salon to anyone. Betsy is so friendly and a true salon professional. I already made my next appointment 8 weeks out and cannot wait to go back! Lindsay in Carlsbad!

I go to Kate Pauli for all of my hair needs. I travel on business every 6 weeks to San Diego from North Carolina and I wait until I’m in town to get my hair done by Kate. She did my hair for my wedding as well as my bridal parties’ hair and everyone was raving about how great they looked. I followed Kate to Suite B from a previous salon, and I must say, what a step up this staff and location is from the previous! Everyone is so welcoming, fun and professional. Plus, the location is right off Hwy 5, so it is easy to get to after work or on lunch. PS: anywhere that plops a glass of wine in your hand while they make you feel like a movie star gets an «A» in my book.

This salon was recently renovated and the new owner — Betsy Dernbach — has been my stylist for 5 years (formerly at Brio Salon in Del Mar). The salon is conveniently located just off of Interstate 5 in Solana Beach, and the atmosphere is sunny and bright. My hair has gone from short to long back to short again and Betsy always gives me just the right easy-​to-​maintain style.

I’ve followed my hair stylist Kate P. for the last 3 years and am confident she has found the best place to settle down along with her besties Amanda and Kelly. Suite B is easy to find, plenty of parking and has a great atmosphere. Kate, Amanda and Kelly are all super talented, creative professionals that love what they do and are truly amazing. If you’re a first timer there I’d recommend any of these 3 beautiful women.

*Right off the 5 freeway, in the plaza with Vons & 24 Fitness (closest to 24 Fitness)
*Plenty of parking available
*Very open, airy salon so it doesn’t stench of hair dye
*Friendly staff, good music, free wifi even!
I have been a fan of Betsy for almost 7+ years. So, I was pretty happy to hear that she opened her own salon! I am a pretty low maintenance gal, so I typically bring a few photos to show style/​color and she does what she does best-​give me a cut n color that flatters my face. She definitely has a knack for understanding her client’s vision and making it a reality. I typically chop 4−6″ at a time and usually go from dark to blonde. She gets it right every time. I absolutely adore her and will def. continue to be her client, as long as she’ll have me! I would highly recommend her to friends, family and fellow Unilocalers.
