Cruised in here during the memorial day sale. Basically a bean bag toss with levels of discount attached to them. I thought it was a rad deal. Anyway, only got the 10% off but its better than nothing, especially eyeballing a Nixon watch for so long. Dana and Kelly were on the floor this day and they both helped me out tremendously. Dana went above and beyond regarding information about the various watches and had his priorities in check with order of helping customers. Really appreciated everything and the hookup on the fresh Nixon! Thank you Dana and Sun Diego.

The people here are so helpful and nice!!! I had ordered a bikini from Rip Curl, and they ran out of stock and only sent the top. I needed the suit for the weekend and had half a bikini. I called everywhere looking for it and nowhere in San Diego had my size in stock. Dana, the store manager at Sun Diego Solana Beach was SO HELPFUL. He called his connection at Rip Curl to make sure one was put in the box that was on it’s way to the Sun Diego. He got right back to me and was just as urgent about it as I was. He got the suit in and called me that Friday!!! Now THAT is customer service. This place is clean and organized and has a great selection. Dana and the staff he has around him are great.

Called first, and the lad on the phone was helpful. When I walked in, the whole staff was friendly and helpful. Although their selection of surf gear was small for a board shop, I was able to find what I needed.
Excellent and friendly staff. Great little shop in Solana beach!

Had to make a Christmas return today without my receipt. The Esco store is closed for remodeling (horrible timing for customers; right after Xmas) so they couldn’t look up my receipt. Dana (sorry if I spelled that wrong) the manager gave me a full refund without a lot of proof as to what I paid. He could see when I purchased it and new what the discount was at that time. He didn’t have to do this and I appreciated it! Neither one of us got ripped off… thank you for the awesome customer service! I’ll be back to this location for sure!

Lord help me, I should of wrote this sooner, lets hope I am remembering the sales girl’s name correctly.
Came in last Friday looking for TOMS, the peep toe herringbone in size 9 to be exact, figuring it was possible they still had them. Obviously they did not (summer inventory usually heads back to the warehouse by now) but the staff was still super helpful. Amanda (I think, I hope *I can’t remember if I am remembering her name right*) even called several other stores in the area trying to find them for me so that I wouldn’t have to go to a mall to get them.
I like this shop and have shopped around several times before, yes it isn’t as large as the one at the Outlets, but it is still a fairly large shop that has options and cute clothing.
It is their great customer service that is going to get me to come back here more often!

Three employees kibbutzing. One customer (me). No greeting. No offer of help. Genuine disinterest. Go here if you like to be ignored. There’s lots of choices out there. Be smart and chose another store.

It’s a chill little surf shop near where I used to live. It’s kept neat, clean, well stocked, and the shopkeepers have always been nice to us every time we drop by just to check out their merchandise. They have everything from keychains, flip flops, sunblock, clothes, boardshorts to surfboards. The shopkeepers also seem to be knowledgeable with surfing related questions, which is always a plus when you’re shopping for things like that. Customer service makes a huge plus in this kind of business :)

I love Sun Diego stores! Sun Diego is my favorite surf shop /​skate shop in San Diego. They carry all the best brands, including TOMS shoes which I wear all the time! This store is smaller than some of the others so it’s not as busy as the Carlsbad Outlet location which can get pretty hectic.

This store is smaller than normal mall locations and in an odd location — between CVS and Dixieline.
Prices are usually on the high side, but I came during a Christmas sale where everything was 20% off.
Employees are friendly and eager to help since there wasn’t too many other people inside shopping.
