Just ok. Pros: Very friendly staff. True suite. Full size fridge, full size microwave, 2 burner electric stove, dishwasher, dishes, sink. Great patio. Decent breakfast. Cons: Rooms tight and on the small side for true suite. Towels worn. Could use updating.(But not bad). Ice maker only in top 2 floors. Edit: my biggest issue here was the dated yellow décor. Every wall is a dingy yellow. Freshly painted, but a dingy, dated yellow nonetheless. Plus the carpet needed stretching and too was offputting. In hindsight, I’d give this place 4 stars, but for the poor decisions of the corporate decorator. Would stay here again.

We ended up here by accident after some home renovations forced us out of our house for a few nights. This place was the only place near us that had any rooms left(and it was their last one). It was a smidge pricier than the place we had planned on staying, but not by much. Wow! Lovely hotel and super friendly staff. Very comfy and roomy rooms. And the breakfast was great and they had COMPLIMENTARYHOTDINNER&DRINKS on weeknights! As we are a family with kids, this more than made up for the extra cost of staying here. The rooms were easily twice the size of the slightly cheaper place we had originally planned on booking at, which also made staying in the room with the kids much less of a hassle. We could watch TV& relax without feeling like we were keeping the kids up. I do occasionally travel for business and I will start looking to see if this hotel is available where I have to go. Not having to worry about dinner in an unfamiliar town makes business travel much easier. I will say that at this particular hotel, we did find the same issue that many people here have commented on. The doors do not close well. You can’t just rely on them to shut tight behind you like in most hotels. So, just make sure to double check your doors when coming or going.

I was on the fence as to 2 or 3 stars here… The hotel itself is decent — you get a suite, a real fridge, it’s nice enough, free breakfast, free wifi etc. I would stay there again, no concerns. I suspect it’s definitely one of the nice ones in the area. My only issue was with the hotel gym(which, for me, is a big deal since I always use it.) They had the HEAT on to 83DEGREES. I could barely breathe in there. It was so hot that they truly risk a lawsuit — if someone passed out, they would be in BIG trouble for those conditions. The second thing is that there were only two treadmills — and BOTH treadmills short out after someone uses them for a brief amount of time. They simply aren’t providing enough power to the room to power such greedy machines. I understand a gym with relatively little equipment(they’re not a huge hotel — I don’t expect a massive gym!) But don’t advertise a gym if the equipment won’t WORK. This wasn’t a temporary«out of order» but rather a major electrical problem. I reported it to the front desk but to be honest, I really don’t think they cared.

I’ve stayed here for a total of 5 weeks this year. I am mostly a fan. 1. The positives: Friendly staff, complimentary breakfast, welcome home happy hour(with beer/wine!) and munchies(warm baked cookies, popcorn), wireless Internet access, very basic gym, mini pool and hot tub, shuttle services for local businesses. The location is just off hwy 422, and close to a theater and a couple restaurants. The rooms have nice new TVs, basic cable and most are set up as apartments with cooking facilities and refrigerators. There is also a PC set next to the lobby if you don’t have your own laptop or printer. Parking is no problem; free here and you don’t have to register your car. 2. The negatives: There is precious little insulation in the walls and you hear your neighbors through the bathroom wall and through the front door. It can be disturbing. I have also had the cleaning staff leave my door ajar after they have cleaned and my belongings were not secure while away all day. I have talked to others having this happen to their room as well. You can see that the positives outweigh the negatives. This Homewood is better than other Homewoods I’ve stayed at.
