This will be my 500^th review! Whee!!! And here goes!!!
Wanting to take a little day trip out of LA I decided to drag my husband to Solvang to shop, eat, and enjoy the quaint little town. It turned out to be more like a few hours spent there even ducking into half the shops, but it was still a nice trip. We happened to park in the lot right next to b.living. It was the first and last store I ended up at! It ended up being my favorite store out of all the places I went to in Solvang and I just wish I lived closer!
b.living is across the street from Paula’s Pancake House and is tucked away down the street a little bit. Not on the main street, so walk down a bit to find it and you won’t regret it! Nikki happened to be there and gave me some history of b. living and she was absolutely wonderful. Just the right amount of helpfulness, friendliness and just nice and easy to talk to! She welcomed us into the store, showed us something she thought I might be interested in (after I remarked upon something to my hubs) and then let us browse her super cute store at our leisure. I didn’t buy anything on my first time, but her shop stuck in my mind and I had to go back in before I left to snag something I kept thinking of.
I really loved how b. living was set up into little household scenes with it’s displays of new and used items. Nikki and Karen have absolutely great taste and I was loving basically every item that was in there! From kitchen goods, soy candles made by a Solvang local, Paddywax candles, house goods, furniture, stationary etc etc. All things for the home. They have a very unique selection of goods that aren’t touristy at all with a touch of Solvang thrown in there. No shot glasses and wooden clog magnets to be found here! There’s a smattering of trendy items (gold and chrome items) but mostly overall it’s a great mix of uniquely quaint goods.
Can’t wait for b. living to set up their online store!!! Anytime I’m in Solvang I will definitely stop by here.

I absolutely LOVE this new store in town. They have amazing unique hidden gems to find and get new items in weekly. I’ve been in several times and always find something wonderful to display or use in my home. The customer service is outstanding. I have met two different girls that work there and they both were equally helpful and extremely friendly.
I also love the fact that they upcycle finding creative reuse out of many valuable vintage items. B. living is a much needed green company saving our landfills and stoping unnecessary toxins. We need more places around like b.living. This store is a must see weekly as they have neat new items each time I shop here.
