Been here 2 years ago. Unchanged great service; asked for a «iced mocha blend» without ice and got a specially made one.

Excruciatingly slow and uninformed service, mediocre bagel and cream cheese, undrinkable coffee. Nice copper artwork inside though.

If you come to Solvang and are looking for quality smoothies and coffee drinks, ditch the bad atmosphere, horrible service and product at the Bulldog café and come here! I was very impressed with the service and friendly staff! :)

This is a place I always stop at when I go to Solvang– I usually get their ice blended coffee drinks(which is a miracle, because I NEVER drink them anywhere else… taste like gross at other places). If you’re looking for a cool, refreshing treat, I would highly recommend this great little,(literally) hole in the wall joint for that«pick me up» Also, the last time I went here my mother came too and got one of their smoothies which was PERFECT. I mean… perfect taste… perfect consistency… perfect size… PERFECT! Okay I’m done. Go here. Now.

Visited this place on a Sunday morning, so the town was quiet and I, luckily, had no wait in line here. 1– Service — The young guy running this place was nice and worked quickly. 2– Cleanliness — This place is small, so the only tables are outside. those were acceptable, being outdoors and it having just rained overnight; the place inside looked clean though they seemed out of stock of cinnamon and nutmeg for my latte. 3– Food quality — Quality of my double latte was low given it tasted heavily watered down and there seemed to be way too high of a soymilk to espresso ratio; This is usually what I get and I’ve always had strong espressos even with a 16oz order with soymilk… not exactly sure why this was so weak and watery. 4– Pricing — Just under $ 5 for watered down 16oz latte? Nah, not worth it. 5– Experience was not up there. sorry, I would try another place(Bulldog, perhaps) before repeating a bad latte.

A great little whole in the wall. Nathan was so sweet and possibly Danish(making the experience more authentic). Ask him to make you a dirty vanilla chai.

We happened upon here and it was getting embarassing as one of our party of 5 kept asking people if they were Danish. It’s kind of sad going to a town that is supposed to be Danish but has no Danish people. However, the guy serving here seemed good enough to be Danish despite telling us he was an American mutt. Curly orange hair and fair skin, about 15 years old — the dude is for sure a descendant of Eric the Red and probably has dreams about Viking carnage and dragon-shaped sea-faring boats carrying on through the icy Atlantic… whilst on fire. Lacking the axe and bragging rights from being from the #1 country on the happiness index list, he served up some potent, but pricey, drinks for us. I had some chocolate smoothie. Thick but for sure a low-grade coffee bean. Most of the stars for this place are derived from the music themed interior(it is now known as Cassidys, but its former name is accentuated by some drums, guitars and sheet music embossed on the walls).

If this were a smoothie review, we would be far more generous. But as a coffee review? You know standards in town are bad when a place like this gets positive recognition. The coffee stations are not cleaned up. They use Peerless Coffee, which is cheap discount coffee at almost half the price of most decent roasters. And the results live up to these expectations: ashy flavor, no frothy aeration = stale coffee, etc. They’d get one star if not for the semi-redeeming smoothies here. Just because you’re not some factory-produced Starbucks doesn’t mean you get a free pass on quality.

A little stop-and-go, open-air place but if you’re looking for a pick-me-up, this is the best place in Solvang. It has contemporary art and a fairly large menu considering the size of the establishment. Prices are what you would expect from a lone coffee/smoothie place in a tourist city so don’t be surprised with the prices(north of Starbucks). The service wasn’t bad, but while I was there they only had limited smoothie flavors because apparently they were swamped the day before… regardless, it’s worth a stop in if only to look at the art and get out of the sun on a hot day.

Damn it! I should have checked on Unilocal before coming here so I could have gotten 10% off… ah well! It was a hot mid-morning and I needed a pick-me-up so I got a Mango Tango smoothie. Overall, it was a good choice. Fresh pineapple and orange juice, mango, a banana, and ice. No dairy bases or yogurt thickeners here. Just one of those simple, old school smoothies without the high caloric values or added sugars. The girl behind the counter was very friendly and informed me that the place was for sale… hopefully someone will buy it and continue running the place, as there aren’t any other options in this part of Solvang for fresh fruit smoothies and a lot of the Danish places have sort of lackluster coffee. 3.5 Stars rounded up to 4 because they made use of old instruments(like an old drum turned into a trash can)…and I thought it was clever.

3.5÷5 stars seems to be the only coffee shop in solvang besides the ones at the bakeries. i would have liked to have the option for a press pot rather than typical drip. the place is a small order and go spot though. the owner is friendly

The guy working was really friendly! It made me feel good supporting their business, while the coffee was a bit pricey. Most of their drinks only come in two sizes – 16 oz and 20 oz. A bit larger than my typical 12 oz drinks, so I couldn’t finish. I ordered the caramel mocha – SOGOOD, creamy, not too sweet, perfect espresso. Would definitely come back.

This is a cute little coffee shop with just enough room to a couple people comfortably but the iced coffees are great. I tried the Iced Caramel and my friend got the Iced Toffee. Both were super tasty. A decider for me at most coffee shops is whether they have soy milk and an A+ to them for having it. The service was quick and friendly. They even had a bowl of water by the door for those friendly four legged friends enjoying a nice walk by which was a nice thought since we were actually traveling with a dog that day.

While visiting the Santa Ynez valley, I had an opportunity to visit the small Danish town of Solvang. Since there is very little to do in Buellton, we managed to visit Solvang twice and both times stopped in at Rhythms. This coffee shop is super tiny, with only enough room to order at the counter. On both days the staff was super friendly and eager to help. The interior of the coffee shop is decorated with vintage drums and acoustics-hence the name Rhythms. On the first day I ordered a Café Mocha-hot, made to order and TASTY! Day two, I had to stop back by and try their OJ-mainly because I was mesmerized by their Jetson like juicing machine. Best OJ I’ve ever had in my life. OJ was about $ 5-seemed a little pricey, but honestly worth every dollar. Another great feature about Rhythms is they have a small area outside to sit and enjoy your coffee. The first day my boyfriend and I relaxingly sat with the locals and sipped our coffees. If you’re in the area, I’d highly recommend stopping through Solvang, it’s definitely a site and while you’re there stop by to enjoy a cup of joe at Rhythms.

Great to find this little indie place here in town. I remember some really flashy copper fixtures within the place, as well as some awesome choices in stowage for napkins, utensils, etc. Pretty warm day, so my friend and I both chose cold drinks – a blended mocha for him, and for myself a double fudge blended mocha. When it’s in a drink and called that, I can’t help but want to try it! Not quite as rich as I had thought it might be, but quite a spread of flavors. It’s pretty much a walk-in place; nowhere to sit, but there’s plenty of benches along the street. When in Solvang again, I’ll be sure to consider Rhythms for another visit.

Soooo cute inside and the owner(David??) is super friendly. I like that they always have music and service is always quick. Like another review I read indicated — chai’s are the bomb. So much in fact, the only thing I order is a non-fat vanilla chai. mmmm A girl I work with gets coffee everyday and never complains. *Oh, did have an iced blended toffee something or other. Another good drink, but did feel like it was super packed with the cals, so I stay away from that.

Short Version: Tasty coffee to go. Long Version: This is probably the tiniest coffee shop I’ve ever been to, and is also the coolest. The time that went into decorating with a musical instrument theme makes it even cooler, with half instruments coming out of the walls. The people here are always in a mellow yet conversational mood. And of course, the coffee itself is very well prepared. If you’re in town and need a cup, this is your place.

If you are searching for a coffee, tea, and smoothie shop that offers you choices such as whole milk, 2⁄1 percent milk or soy milk, then this small scale shop is for you. I ordered a Latte, my wife ordered an Americano, my daughter purchased a Chai tea with soy milk, and overall we were quite pleased. The shop walls are decorated with unique musical art creations. The waste can Is an old kick-drum. The barrista was very friendly and seems happy to serve you up your beverage of choice. There is a good Danish pastry store a few doors up the street that would provide the perfect compliment to a hot cup of coffee or tea.
