I Love To Clean

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! We tried very hard to find a company we liked and trusted to clean our home. At first impression, «I Love to Clean» appeared to be it. The owner, a sweet older woman, came to our home for a consult. Offered to do anything and everything from laundry to organization to deep cleaning to light cleaning. We settled on one top-​to-​bottom cleaning with organization of the playroom (we have young children) to kick start our experience at an agreed upon price for a set chunk of time, which I believe was about 4 hours. The day of, we had a VERY bizarre group of 3 people, all who talked incessantly about leaving directly from our house to go on some camping road-​trip vacation as soon as they were done. They slowly got started, but began to stay past the agreed upon time. This seems to be a reoccurring theme with cleaning businesses, at least with the two I have tried to work with, maybe to overcharge the client? They all behaved oddly — it was very uncomfortable, so I mentioned to him that he hit his time limit and I was happy with the work they had done up to that point and that they could leave. The one cleaner stated he was «ordered» to stay as long as needed to complete the tasks the owner had left for them. As this was my first experience with a cleaning company, I mistakenly was silenced into letting them stay. They left almost an hour later. We had cash for them up in a kitchen cabinet which was counted before they arrived, $ 100 of which was STOLEN and missing after they left. So, not only did they charge us for an extra hour, but these sketchy people cleaning my house took an extra $ 100 to take with them on their «road trip». When I called the woman who owned the company, she said this has never happened before, that she has never had reports of anything being stolen (which even in the best of situations, is likely impossible for any cleaning company) and refused to credit the account $ 100, despite the OVERCHARGE for the unwanted time which was equal to $ 100 anyway… we were basically screwed for $ 200 through this company and would NEVER welcome them in our home again. It seems to be very difficult to find a reputable company in my area. All we want is someone fast, efficient, thorough and trustworthy. Sad we can’t find such a business!
