Great customer service, I was unhappy and left a bad review and I was politely approached and offered to fix anything. If you’re coming here just know there is a 5 $ minimum for WiFi as I missed the sign!

This has got to be the worst coffeehouse besides DD it’s ridiculous. I mean do you really want a omelette made in a waffle iron thrown in a bagel. Never mind the store bought muffins and other stuff. I realize the owners are Brazilian, but they speak English and are not quiet about it. Something needs to be done with the burnt coffee.

Went to this café for the first time today, and was very impressed. It was mostly empty at lunch time, but it was a very peaceful and well decorated environment. I got the Winter Hill panini, which was really good and flavorful. I will definitely be coming back here to try one of their coffees!

Great locale, good coffee, excellent selection of pastries, and very nice staff and atmosphere. This is a wonderful place to sit quietly and read for awhile; I prefer it to Three Little Figs, also close by, for reasons of location and that Fortissimo tends to be less crowded.

Not a fan of this place Poor quality overpriced coffee. It was a good thing that the coffees are large but it was all watered down and foamy. Could barely even taste any coffee or flavor, i paid 6 bucks for foam and ice cubes — what a deal. Nice people but wont be back

The music is still ho-hum, but the staff seems more attentive. Sandwiches are good and the ambience is more mellow that competing cafes in the neighborhood.

It’s good for coffee and work. Their food and other drinks seem quite expensive, and the few I’ve tried weren’t worth it. Compared to Bloc11: Better AC, equally good coffee, much better tables and chairs, equally good restroom situation, less«hip».

Good size, has never been too busy or loud while I’ve been here. The coffee is solid, nothing to write home about but I can’t complain. The food is pretty interesting — last time I came, I got a pretty good guava muffin. Today, I got the cheese bread which was a bit disappointing because it was mildly warm so the cheese center was a bit tough. Would’ve probably been better warm so the cheese was more melty. The wi-fi was a bit of a let down today — they ask you to buy $ 5 worth of stuff to use it(which I am totally fine with) but no matter where I sat, I couldn’t actually connect. They play the music at a good level though, unlike some places where it’s too loud to listen to your own music. Overall, I’d come back, but it wouldn’t be my first stop for coffee.

Good food, great smoothies, cool people. Tried the uncle tel panini and enjoyed every bite. The cape cod chips are so good I asked for more and he happily obliged… Very nice spot to chill and eat some good grub after a day of climbing walls

For all of the people who complain about«the hipster place» in Union Square, there is salvation a short walk away and the only fixed gear bikes in front of the place are for the bike shop nextdoor. Friendly staff, really freaking good coffee, and the prices are more reasonable than a bloc away.

I really wanted to like this place because it is close by. The Berry Twist smoothie was very disappointing. The barista added a few strawberries and blueberries, but unfortunately I paid $ 6 for a cup of ice chunks with a few berries mixed in. It tasted mostly like water. The workers are really nice and friendly. The muffins are good.

Fortissimos has the BEST salads in the square. Consistently fresh ingredients and seasoned well. They also charge reasonably! I love the quiet, friendly atmosphere and the folks that work there are really nice

I came here after seeing the mostly positive reviews, especially in reference to Bloc 11. The service was friendly, but nothing special. I got an iced coffee and an iced mocha to go. It’s definitely a very different vibe from Bloc 11. Not«hipster» but more like your mom n pop coffee shop. With that said, I thought the coffee was just fine. I’m not sure it justifies the higher than Starbucks price(and much higher than Dunkins). They use flavor pumps for their lattes: Vanilla, Caramel, Toffee, etc. If that’s your thing, go for it. My mocha was massive and came with chocolate syrup on the side and whipped cream on top. It honestly reminded me of the McDonald’s mocha. It’s not a bad spot, it’s just not for me. I won’t be back.

Fortissimo has some of the best wireless around. Buy $ 5 worth of food or drinks and they’ll give you the code and you get faster internet than you would at Bloc 11, where you have to pay big bucks to use it. The atmosphere is always quiet and great for getting work done. You can sit at a table, comfy chair, or a counter. There are a lot of unique things on the menu here like guava baked goods, baked cheese balls, and acai bowls. They give you potato chips and ketchup with your breakfast sandwich, which is a great bonus. It always seems to be the same guys working there and they are super relaxed and nice. They’ve got some great music choices and can even help you set up the WiFi if you are having any problems. Bathrooms are way better than any Starbucks. The curious thing about Fortissimo is that a lot of their branding seems like they are a chain, but they are just this one location as far as I can tell. I would fully support them growing into many locations around Boston.

Great study spot! It’s cozy enough to not be distracted but still spacious and open. They have really feel-good music(Michael Buble, Jason Mraz, Colbie Caillat, etc) that relaxes you and doesn’t distract if you’re doing work. Plenty of outlets, free wifi, and decent food. I would stick mainly with their paninis and dessert items. Of the other items I tried the lasagna and one of their omelettes — both were not that good and definitely overpriced.

So after visiting this place a number of times, definitely becoming more of a fan. Coffee tends to be on the darker than lighter side. Good drinks, nice atmosphere. Seems to be way more quiet than my previous comments on it.

Great place to study, free wifi, a handful of roomy tables and outlets around, along with some couches and warm woodsy atmosphere. Also doesn’t tend to get too crowded, even got a big table to ourselves on Sunday. The drinks are pretty strong and too sweet for my taste. They will give you iced water in a mason jar if you ask. I wish they would just keep a water dispenser outside so we don’t have to keep asking for refills though. Of the food I’ve tried, their muffins are delicious and their Sullivan square panini is really tasty! Food that was disappointing: Their winter hill sandwich is not great. Their chicken lasagna(which is totally out of place on their menu) is also just alright. Be forewarned it comes with ham and is layered with tortilla instead of pasta.

This place does Belly rewards, if you collect points. Each of the three of us ordered a different latte with flavorings. The coffee was good. The communication/service was slow and inattentive. I ordered one medium and one small and was given two smalls. Oh well. Tasted good.

Forward thinking café with too many menus on too many walls and too many signs cat-calling their target demo(hint, hint: skinny jeans and thick frames). Hot teas($ 2.50) made iced by a shallow steep of a Mighty Leaf teabag, followed by a pour over unto too little ice. If I wanted floral water, I’d drink from a vase. Free wifi, a terrific sweet and moist corn muffin($ 2.50), and plenty of savory options for lunch. At last visit, there’s a Unilocal check-in offer for 10% off a panini. Atmosphere is extremely comfortable, and the cushioned seats have yet to be overrun by squatters, which means you’ll get the La-Z-Boy* if you want it. It’s clean, pricey for what it delivers, yet endearing in its own way. Please, please, please consolidate your menus to one wall. Bird-necking first-time customers is unbecoming. *Brand not guaranteed…

I’m selfishly reluctant to write a review in the event that it’ll start drawing too many people here. It’s certainly a gem hidden amongst all the coffee houses in the Boston area. Tables are nicely spaced apart, décor is clean and artsy, and coffee /food are tasty. I spent most of Sunday here catching up on work, and the place was never more than a third occupied. Only thing I’d like more is bigger portion size — my turkey jerk panini had only one or two slices of turkey, which I thought was too few for the price.
