Paramount Pampering Salon and Spa

This was my first of many visits that I will be making to this beautiful salon. I had full balayage done by the very talented Cielona. I showed her a few pictures of the look I was hoping to achieve and she transformed my hair into something I truly love. She explained the process, gave her professional opinion, and detailed pricing prior to the service. The session lasted 3.5 hours, which included a blowout and some curls. It was a very enjoyable experience and the entire staff is extremely professional and are quick to offer you refreshments and check in with you intermittently to see if you needed anything. You can see that the entire team wants you to have a great experience and to feel comfortable and they certainly delivered. The pricing is very reasonable (I paid $ 175 for full balayage and a blowout), especially with the exceptional service they provide. You do need cash for a tip (just a heads up, although one of the owners mentioned to me that she wants to put in an ATM so clients wouldn’t need to walk down to a bank-​again, amazing customer service). The following day I received a follow-​up text from the salon/​Cielona stating they hoped I enjoyed my experience (which I very much did). I highly recommend this salon!

My original review didn’t post, so here it goes again.
The moment you walk into this establishment, you’re going to want to stare, and take in your surroundings. But you’ll be snapped out of your reverie by the receptionist, Monica, and I mean that in a good way (you don’t want to hold anyone up behind you). I gave her my appointment details, and she proceeded to ask me what I wanted to drink. I opted for a water, and to my surprise, it came out in a champagne glass, how classy. Not even five minutes inside, and I already felt at home and welcome. I honestly like walking into a business where I feel welcome and appreciated. Paramount Pampering made me feel comfortable in a matter of minutes.
Now I rarely venture into Somerville since it’s so far from home, but the reason that brought me here is The Balayage Queen and Da Vinci of Hair, the one and only: Ahlyza. I’ve been letting her work with my hair for almost two years now, and I don’t let anyone else touch my hair. I went on a Wednesday afternoon, 3:30PM appt for a cut and blowout. I arrived early, so I waited while Ahlyza wrapped up with the client before me. Another salon member took me to the back to wash my hair in the meantime. That’s when I realized how big the salon actually is. They have a huge room where they do pedicures, and hair washing, and it includes a flat screen so you can enjoy your pedi and watch TV. On your walk to this back room, you’ll also notice rooms where they do waxing, facials, etc.
My cut and blowout was a success, just as I knew it would be. My total came out to $ 65. Of course, there are plenty of salons that will charge you less than that, but I learned «quality over quantity» the hard away. This salon is definitely what you’d call «upscale», so be prepared to spend a little more than you normally would, but I think it’s completely worth it.
Thank you Paramount Pampering for the wonderful experience. I’m a firm believer that good impressions are only as good as everything that comes after it, so do expect a visit from me again in the near future.

Thanks but reaching out to me one month after my hair was done really wasn’t an option. No one would walk around with a bad haircut for that long and I obviously had already gone somewhere else. A refund or hair products would have been a better option and would have been appreciated.

This establishment is so incredibly friendly and professional. I’ve been getting my hair done (balayage and baby lights) by Ahlyza for some time now and she never fails to disappoint. Truly a diamond in the rough.

The salon is absolutely gorgeous! Right when you walk in the staff is very welcoming and even offer you complimentary drinks and snacks. I had my hair cut and colored by the balayage queen Ahlyza and am absolutely in love with her work. I can’t wait to come back!

Everyone works hard for their money and you don’t just want to go anywhere when it comes to pampering, right? Well you won’t have to worry about that here! The girls at Paramount Pampering are amazing. Their service, attention and professionalism is over the top.
When you come in you’re welcomed by a smiling receptionist who immediate conveys the warm and welcoming environment at Paramount Pampering.
The place itself is amazing and beautiful! Not that it’s as important as the service offered by the Paramount Pampering girls but it’s definitely plus and a sight to see.
If you need a place to get pampered, you won’t go wrong here. This place has it all and more. Pedicure heaven, manicures, friendly and knowledgeable stylists and colorists, and the lists goes on and on.
Just come try it yourself: D it’s not paramount just for nothing :)
